..............rvaudārikam| atastutpūrvam| tato vedanāsmṛtyupasthānaṃ dvābhyāṃ sthūlataraṃ vedanāskandhavat| tataḥ cittasmṛtyupasthānaṃ rūpādiprativijñaptisvābhāvyātsulakṣam| dharmāstu saṃjñācetanādyā saṃprayuktāḥ, prāptyādayaḥ viprayuktāḥ, saṃskṛtāśca paramasūkṣmāstasmādante dharmasmṛtyupasthānam| ata evotpattikramopi tathaiva|
prāyeṇa hi sattvāḥ rūpādyupabhogaratatvāt mokṣavimukhā bhavanti vedanābhinanditvāt, sā cābhinandanā cittasyādāntatvāt| taccādāntatvaṃ rāgādibhiḥ| śraddhādibhiśca dāntatvaṃ bhavati|
catuṣṭvamapi caturviparyāsapratipakṣatvāt| aśucau śucisaṃjñāviparyāsapratipakṣo hi kāyaparīkṣā| duḥkhe sukhasaṃjñāviparyāsapratipakṣo vedanāparīkṣā| anitye nityasaṃjñāviparyāsapratipakṣaścittaparīkṣā, cittasya laghuparivartitvāt| anātmanyātmasaṃjñāviparyāsapratipakṣo dharmaparīkṣā| dharmasmṛtyupasthānasya vaicitryādekātmasaṃjñāviparyāso nivartate| ‘ādi’śabdāccaturāhārapañcaskandhapratipakṣatvādyathāyogam||
sa tadānīṃ yogācāraḥ
[384] samastālambināntyena tānvetya(ttya)dhruvatādibhiḥ|
sambhinnālambanaṃ hi dharmasmṛtyupasthānaṃ tricatuṣpañcaskandhālambanatvāt| pañcaskandhālambanameva tu sāmānyālambanamiti nirdiśyate| tena tu catvāryapi smṛtyupasthānānyabhisamasyānityato duḥkhataḥ śūnyato'nātmataśceti caturbhirākāraiḥ pratyavekṣate| tataḥ punaryogī kāyaṃ paramāṇusaṃghātakṣaṇasantānā(na)bhedena prabhidya paramāṇuśaḥ kṣaṇaśaśca nirīkṣate| kalalādīnāṃ vā bījādyaśudhya(cya)ṅgāṇi(ni) pṛthaṅmiśrībhūtāni ca yogī rūpāni(ṇi) nimitteṣu paśyati| tadūrdhvaṃ tasyānityatvādibhiḥ sāmānyalakṣaṇena yathāyogaṃ sarvadharmakajātīyatvādhimokṣe satyahaṃkāramamakāraviṣkambhanaprahānaṃ(ṇaṃ) bhavati| tanprahāṇādrāgādayopi doṣāḥ śrutacintāmayābhyāṃ jñānābhyāṃ viṣkambhyate(nte)|
katamena punaratra smṛtyupasthānena kleśātyantakṣayo bhavati ? brūmaḥ|
kleśātyantakṣayo'ntyena saṃbhinnālambanena vā||
saṃsargasmṛtyupasthānena khalu ‘saṃbhinnālambanena atyantakleśaprahāṇaṃ kriyate| ‘vā’ śabdo vikalpārthaḥ||
yasmāt-
[385] asaṃbhinnārtha viṣayaṃ trayametad dvidheṣyate|
sāsravānāsravabhedāt| tataḥ punaḥ skandhānanityādinā
tasyaivaṃ paśyataḥ sākṣādudayavyayadarśaṇa(na)m||
[386] skandheṣu jāyate paścāccakrabhramarikādivat|
eṣā ca smṛtyupasthānakuśalamūlaniṣṭhā| tasya khalvanityākāramabhyasyataḥ sarvasaṃskāreṣu pratikṣaṇamudayavyayadarśaṇa(na)mutpadyate, ‘cakrabhramarikādi[vadi]’ti|
sa pratītyasamutpādaṃ skandhānāṃ pratyavekṣate||
tasya pratikṣaṇa(ṇaṃ) utpādavyayaṃ paśyataḥ evaṃ bhavati-kathaṃ caite saṃskārāḥ santānena pravartante nocchidyante| sa pratītyasamutpādaṃ paśyati traiyadhvikānāṃ saṃskārāṇāṃ hetuphalasambandhaniyamāvasthitānām| tataḥ punaḥ pratītyasamutpādam||
[387] satyeṣu pātayitvataṃ tadā kaścitparīkṣate|
tadanityatvaduḥkhatve samavetya tataḥ punaḥ||
ekaikamaṅgaṃ satyeṣu pātayitvā'nityato duḥkhataśca pratyavekṣya
[388] akartṛkānnirīhāṃśca pratyayādhīnasaṃbhavān|
dṛṣṭvā sarveṣvanātmeti tattvākāraṃ ṇi(ni)ṣevate||
tatra svatantrakartṛvirahitvācchūnyānpaśyati svavaśena vinā sahakāribhiḥ pratyayaiḥ kriyākaraṇāt, parādhīnajanmatvāccā[nā]tmānaṃ paśyati ‘dṛṣṭvā sarveṣvanātmeti tattvākāraṃ ṇi(ni)ṣevate’||
tadabhyasyataḥ
[389] anadhiṣṭhātṛkatvaṃ ca pāratantryaṃ ca paśya[taḥ]|
na hyatra kaścitpuruṣo vā parameṣṭhī veśvaraḥ svatantraścaikaśca vidyate, paratantrajanmaprasarā eva sarvasaṃskārāḥ svasāmānyalakṣaṇādhiṣṭhitasvabhāvāḥ, iti parīkṣyamāṇasya
sarvadharme[ṣu nai]rātmye sthirā buddhiḥ pravartate||
yathoktam-
“sarvadharmā anātmānaḥ paśyati prajñayā yadā|
tadā nirvidyate duḥkhādeṣa mārgo viśuddhaye||”
atha kasmādiha śūnyākāro na deśitaḥ ? taducyate-
[390] svabhāvenāviśūnyatvā[d] dharmamudrā nu(u)dāhṛte(tā)|
taduktyā ca taduktatvācchūnyākāro ṇa(na) deśitaḥ||
na khalu saṃskārāḥ svabhāvena śūnyāḥ pṛthivyaptejovāyuprabhṛtīnāṃ kāṭhinyādilakṣaṇasya dhṛtyādikriyāyāśca pratyakṣatvāt| rāgādīnāṃ doṣāṇāṃ śraddhādīnāṃ ca guṇānāṃ cittamālyaśuddhikaraṇasāmarthyāt| teṣāṃ ca sāmarthyaṃ yathā dravyāṇāṃ harītakīcitrakadantīprabhṛtīnāṃ rasavīryavipākaprabhāvādidarśaṇā(nā)ta sasvabhāvaprabhāvāḥ sarvadharmāḥ dharmamudrāyāśca ‘śūnyākāro’ ṇo(no)ktaḥ| tasmādihāpi nocyate| athavā ‘taduktyā ca tadukteḥ|’ anātmākāroktyā ca śūnyatāpyuktā bhavati||
tadevaṃ nairātmye sthiramatiḥ
[391] gotradvārasamūhādīn dhātvādīnāṃ yathāyatham|
svasādhāraṇacihnābhyāṃ sadatopaparīkṣate||
dhātvāyatanaskandheṣu svasāmānyalakṣaṇaparicchinneṣu
[392]pratiskandhaṃ tatastasya svābhāvyādiṣu tattvataḥ|
krameṇa jāyate paścātkauśalaṃ sthānasaptake||
“rūpaṃ yathābhūtaṃ prajānāti rūpasamudayaṃ rūpanirodhaṃ rūpanirodhagāminīṃ pratipadaṃ rūpasyāsvādaṃ rūpasyādīnavaṃ rūpasya niḥsaraṇamevaṃ yāvadvijñānasya|” uktaṃ hi bhagavatā-‘saptasthāne kuśalo bhikṣuḥ trividhārthopaparīkṣī kṣipramevāsravakṣayaṃ karoti” iti||
abhidharmadīpe vibhāṣāprabhāyāṃ vṛttau ṣaṣṭhasyādhyāyasya prathamaḥ pādaḥ||

dvitīyapādaḥ|
tasyedānīṃ yoginaḥ smṛtyupasthānādiṣu kuśalamūleṣu dṛṣṭapūrvaṃ jñeyaṃ satyākāravyavasthānenānucitaśrutacintāmayākārasamudācāraṇyā(nyā) yeṇa(na)
[393] nirmathnataḥ kramenā(ṇā)sya duḥkhasatyabhavāraṇim|
śraddhāvīryasahāyasya tattvajñānānalārthinaḥ||
[394] ākārapatitaṃ jñānaṃ tataḥ śamaniyāmakam|
bhāvanāmayamūṣmākhyaṃ jāyate sānuvartakam||
tatkhalūṣmagataṃ prakarṣitatvāt ṣoḍaśākāram, pratisatyaṃ caturākāratvāt, sāmānyaṃ dharmasmṛtyupasthānaṃ bhaviṣyasyāryamārgāgnernimittabhūtaṃ dhūmāgnivat| tasmiṃśca labdhe śamaḥ pratyāsannībhavati| atastat ‘śamaniyāmakaṃ bhāvanāmayam’ iti| dhyānasaṃvarāśritasamādhibalena dṛḍhībhāvāccittaṃ bhāvayati campakapuṣpatilatailavaditi| ‘sānuvartakaṃ’ ca pañcaskandhasvabhāvaṃ nairātmyabuddhiparitoṣāccānuskandhaśaḥ prasāda utpadyate-skandhamātrakamevedaṃ satkāyadṛṣṭervastubhūtaṃ nātrātmāstyātmīyaṃ vā||
[395] tatastathaiva mūrdhāno mithyādṛṣṭyupaghātinaḥ|
ūṣmabhyo'dhikasāmarthyādratnaśraddhāvivardhinaḥ||
tadūrdhvaṃ tato mūrdhānastathaiva ṣoḍaśākārāḥ| teṣāṃ punarayaṃ viśeṣaḥ| mithyādṛṣṭiśaktyupaghātitvam, tadupaghātāt kuśalamūlāni na samucchindanti| ūṣmabhyo'dhiko viśeṣaḥ ratnatrayaśraddhāvivardhinaśca| teṣu khalvadhimātreṇa buddhādiṣu ratneṣu triṣvākārataḥ prasādo'bhivardhate, na skandhaśaḥ, prāgevoṣmagateṣu tadbuddhiparitoṣāt| mūrdhasū..............

vinyāse vivardhane caiva dharmasmṛtyupasthānāṃ(naṃ) pratyutpannaṃ tadeva cānāgataṃ bhāvyate||
[397] bhāvyate skandhadṛktvādau nna(na) tannirvāṇadarśinaḥ|
na khalu skandhoparamadarśinaḥ skandhamatirbhāvyate|
ākārāṃstulyajātīyāt(n) sarvatrātra tu nirdiśet||
yādṛśāḥ pratyutpannāstādṛśā evānāgatā bhāvyante||
[398] draṣṭavyā'nyatarā tābhyaḥ pratyutpannā vivardhane|
catasṛbhyośca(bhyastva)nyatamā pratyutpannā vivardhate(ne)||
[399] anāgatāstu bhāvyante catasro'pyatra niścayāt|
mokṣe'ntye saṃmukhībhūtā[:]samagrāḥ khalvanāgatāḥ||
nirodhe tu pratyutpannaṃ dharmasmṛtyupasthānaṃ catvāri tvanāgatāni bhāvyante||
[400] ākārāḥ khalu sarvepi bhāvyante gotralābhataḥ|
gotrāni(ṇi) khalu labdhāni nirodhasatyato'tra ṣoḍaśāpyākārā bhāvyante|
gotralābhe tu vijñeyā sabhāgākārabhāvanā||
prathamayoḥ satyayoḥ gotrāṇi ālambanāni| tenātra na visabhāgākārabhāvanā||
[401] sarvatrākiraṇe mūrdhno nirodhākiraṇaidhane|
dharmākhyāḥ saṃmukhībhūtāścatasraḥ khalvanāgatāḥ||
mūrdhākāravinyāse ‘nirodhākiraṇaidhane’ ca dharmasmṛtyupasthānaṃ pratyutpannam, catvāryanāgatāni bhāvyante||
[402] ākārāḥ sakalāstatra bhāvyante gotralābhataḥ|
sarvābhyo'nyatarotpannāḥ[:] satyatrayavivardhane||
[403] anāgatāścatasrastu bhāvyante tatra niścayāt|
ākārāḥ sakalā jñeyāḥ kṣāntivinyasane śri(śṛ)ṇu||
[404] sarvatrāntyāḥ samutpannāścatasraḥ khalvanāgatāḥ|
ākārāḥ sakalāstatra bhāvyante cāpyanāgatāḥ||
[405] pratyutpannāgryadharmeṣu dharmākhyā smṛtyupasthitiḥ|
anāgatāstu bhāvyante catastrasteṣu niścayāt||
[406] ākārāḥ khaluḥ catvāro dṛṅmārgasadṛśatvataḥ|
yathoṣmakiraṇe tadvad draṣṭavyaṃ dṛṣṭivartmani||
[407]antyāṃ mārgānvayajñāne pratyutpannāṃ vinirdiśet|
catasro'nāgatāstadvat ṣoḍaśākārabhāvanāt(ḥ)||
[408] tadūrdhvamapi cāryasya sarvāpūrvaguṇodaye|
śrutacintāmayaṃ hitvā sūkṣmasūkṣmaṃ vyapohya ca||
evaṃ tāvadāryasya smṛtyupasthānabhāvanā draṣṭavyā||
[409] bālasyārambhamārge tu caturbhūmivinirjayaiḥ|
bhūtāmanyatarāṃ tābhyaścatasraḥ khalvanāgatāḥ||
[410] ānantaryapathe muktāvantyāṃ sarvāstvanāgatāḥ|
antye dhyāne prayogādimārgeṣvaṣṭāsu pūrvavat||
[411] tisrastu navame vidyāt maulabhūmipraveśataḥ|
sāmantakaprayoge tu catasro'ntyāthavā bhavet||
[412] divyākṣiśrutyabhijñāyāṃ vimokṣādau tathaiva caḥ(ca)|
prathamāṃ saṃmukhībhūtāṃ catasraḥ khalvanāgatāḥ||
[413] pari(ra)citte tṛtīyāstu(yā tu) catasraścāpyanāgatāḥ|
prāṅnivāsāpramānā(ṇā)nāmantyāṃ sarvāstvanāgatāḥ||
[414] ārūpyānāṃ(ṇāṃ) vimokṣāṇāṃ tisṛbhyo'nyatamāṃ vadet|
saṃmukhe nāma jātāstu tisra eva vinirdiśet||
[415] ārūpyakṛtsnayostvantyāṃ pratyupannāmudāharet|
tisraḥ khalvasamutpannāḥ kathayanniyamena tu||
[416] āryasya khalu vairāgyaprayoge kṣepane(ṇe)pi ca|
sarvebhyo'nyatarābhūtāścatasraścāpyanāgatāḥ||
[417] ānantaryapathe muktāvantyāḥ sarvāstvanāgatāḥ|
ri(ṛ)dhyādau tu guṇāḥ sarvamanāryasyaiva nirdiśet||
[418] antyapūrvanivāsādau sa(ca) dharmapratisaṃvidi|
tathāparasamādhyādāvaraṇāyāṃ tathaiva ca||
[419] ārūpyākhyavimokṣādau saṃjñāsūkṣmodaye tathā|
sarvābhyo'nyatarābhūtāścatasraḥ khalvanāgatāḥ||
[420] brūyāttu sūkṣmasūkṣme'ntyāṃ bhūtāṃ tisrastvanāgatāḥ|
samāseneyamākhyātā smṛtyupasthānabhāvanā||
nirvedhabhāgīyānadhikṛtya
[421] etannirvedhabhāgīyaṃ caturdhā bhāvanāmayam|
paramārthadakṣiṇīyabhikṣusaṅghapraveśadvārabhūtatvāt bhāvanāmayaṃ na śrutamayaṃ cintāmayam| kutaḥ punarupapattiprātilambhikaṃ bhaviṣyatītyetacca sandhāya bhagavatoktam-“cyutau batemau mohapuruṣāvasmāddharmavi[na]yādyatra nāmānayoḥ mohapuruṣayorūṣmagatamapi nāsti” iti| taccaitatsarvam
ṣaḍbhaumaṃ ṣoḍaśākāraṃ pañcaskandhā vināptibhiḥ||
‘ṣaḍbhaumaṃ’ darśanamārgavato, ‘ṣoḍaśākāraṃ’ darśanamārgavat sānuparivartakaṃ| ‘pañcaskandhaṃ vināptibhiḥ|’ prāptayaḥ khalu noṣmāgatādisvabhāvāḥ| tatsvābhāvye hi tāsāmāryasyoṣmagatādisaṃmukhībhāvaḥ syāt| na ceṣyate| satyadarśanasamaṅgino dṛṣṭasatyasya vā satyadarśanaprayogasaṃmukhībhāve prayojanābhāvāditi|
āha| ke punaste ṣoḍaśākārāḥ yeṣāṃ bhāvanena(nayā) strotaāpanno bhavati ? taducyate| caturbhirākārairaṇi(ni)tyaduḥkhaśūnyānātmākāraiḥ duḥkhaṃ parīkṣate| tatra bodhisattvādṛte tṛṣṇācaritaḥ prāyo'ṇi(ni)tyākāreṇa, kausīdyādhiko duḥkhākāreṇa, ātmīyadṛṣṭicaritaḥ śūnyākāreṇa, ātmadṛṣṭicarito'nātmākāreṇa|
hetusamudayaprabhavapratyayataḥ samudayam| hetutaḥ ahetudṛṣṭicaritaḥ| samudayataḥ ekakāraṇadṛṣṭicaritaḥ prabhavato nityakāraṇadṛṣṭicaritaḥ| pratyayato'buddhipūrvakṛtadṛṣṭicaritaḥ|
nirodhaśāntapraṇītaniḥsaraṇato nirodham| ebhiścaturbhirnirodhaḥ| nāsti mokṣa ityevaṃ dṛṣṭicarito nirodhataḥ śarīrādimata ityevaṃ caritaḥ śāntataḥ| viṣayasukhacaritaḥ pra[ṇīta]taḥ| dhyānādisukhacarito niḥsaraṇataḥ|
mārganyāyapratipannairyāni(ṇi)kato mārgaḥ(rgam)| ebhiścaturbhirmārgaḥ| nāsti mokṣamārga ityevaṃ dṛṣṭicarito mārgataḥ| kaṣṭatapobhirityevaṃ dṛṣṭicarito nyāyataḥ| laukikavairāgyamārgacaritaḥ pratipattitaḥ| asakṛllaukikamārgaparihāṇito(ko) nairyāṇikataḥ| ityevamādite(ke?) samaye vyabhicaraṇakāle tvekopi sarvaiḥ parīkṣate| rogagaṇḍaśalyāghātākārādibhirṇa(rna) tu tairatyantaprahāṇamityataḥ ṣoḍaśaivāryākārā ityucyante| purastāccaitacchlokānugatamevopadarśayiṣyāmi||
nirvedhabhāgīyebhyaḥ punaḥ
[422] paścāttu khalunirvedha āryamārgāhvayastataḥ|
sa yasmānniścito vedhastasmānnirvedha ucyate||
iti prāgāviṣkṛtametat||
[423] dharmajñānarucirduḥkhe nirmalaṃ dharmadarśanam|
tatastatraivāvadhṛtiḥ dharmajñānamanantaram||
laukikebhyaḥ khalvagradharmebhyo nirāsravā lokottarāḥ(rā) dharmamātrekṣaṇadṛṣṭirutpadyate| sūtra uktam “laukikāgradharmānantaraṃ samaṃ niyāmamavakrāmati yadavakrāntau pṛthagjanabhūmiṃ samatikrāmati” iti| tadanantaraṃ duḥkhe dharmajñānaṃ niścayātmakam| kṣāntyā vā saṃyogaprāptiṃ chinatti jñānena visaṃyogaprāptimāvahatīti viśeṣaḥ|
[424] evaṃ triṣvapi satyeṣu tathaivānvayadhīrdvidhā|
dvābhyāṃ dharmajñānakṣāntidharmajñānekṣaṇābhyāṃ samanantaraṃ rūpārūpyāvacare duḥkhe'nvayajñānakṣāntyanvayajñānekṣaṇamutpadyate| evaṃ triṣvapi satyeṣu draṣṭavyam| atra punaḥ
anantyāstatra dṛṅmārgāḥ jñeyāḥ pañcadaśakṣaṇāḥ|
antyakṣaṇaṃ muktvā pañcadaśasvabhāvo darśanamārgaḥ yastvasau sthāpitaḥ sa khalu
[425 ab.] kṣaṇo'ntyo bhāvanāmārgāt phalameṣo'rthasiddhitaḥ||
yogācāryasya khalvabhi...............

atra punarya eṣa pañcamaḥ sa khalu
[426] dhyānāni vyavakīryātaḥ pañcamastvakaniṣṭhagaḥ|
śuddhāvāsopapattiḥ khalu dhyānavyavaka(ki)raṇaphalā|
caturdhā''rūpyagāmyanyo dṛṣṭanirvāyako'paraḥ||
ūrdhvagasyānāgāminaḥ pañcadhā bheda uktaḥ| [ā]rūpyagāmī tu caturdhā nirdiśyate pūrvoktebhyaḥ antarāpariṇi(ni)rvāyiṇamapāsya| ityete ṣaḍ bhavanti| dṛṣṭadharmanirvāyakaḥ saptama ihaiva janmani yaḥ pariṇi(ni)rvāti||
[427] punastridhā tridhā kṛtvā trīnato rūpagā nava|
ete khalu rūpopagāḥ pañcānāgāminastrayo bhavanti| antaropa[pa]dyapariṇi(ni)rvāyiṇamū(nnū ?)rdhvastrotāśca| dvitīyādyā hi trayo'ṇā(nā)gāminaḥ sarva evopapadya pariṇi(ni)rvāyiṇo bhavanti| anupapannānāṃ pariṇi(ni)rvāṇāt| teṣāṃ pratyekaṃ tṛ(tri)dhā bhedānnavānāgāmino bhavanti| kathamiti ? antarāpariṇi(ni)rvāyiṇastāvadutpatata evādūraṃ gatvopapattyāsannībhūtasya ca pariṇi(ni)rvāni(ṇa) bhedāt| upapadyapariṇi(ni)rvāyiṇaḥ upapadya sābhisaṃskārāṇa(na)bhisaṃskārabhedādūrdhvastrotasaḥ plutādibhedāt|
tadviśeṣaḥ punarjñeyaḥ karmakleśākṣabhedataḥ||
teṣāṃ punastrayāṇāṃ navānāṃ vā anāgāmināṃ karmakleśendriyabhedādyathāyogaṃ viśeṣo boddhavyaḥ| trayāṇāṃ tāvatkarmataḥ, abhinirvṛtyupapattyaparaparyāyavedanīyakarmopacitatvāt| kleśataḥ mṛdumadhyādhimātrakleśasamudācārāt| indriyato'dhimātramadhyamṛdvindriyabhedāt||
yadi tarhi kleśendriyabhedānnavānāgāmino bhavanti, kathaṃ sūtre sapta satpuruṣagatayo deśitāḥ ? tadapadiśyate-
[428] ṣaḍdhordhvastrotasā sārdhaṃ saptadhā sadgatirmatā|
dvau khalvatrānāgāminau trighā tridhā bhi(ttvā) ṣaḍdhā vyavasthāpitau| tṛtīyastūrdhvastrotā'nākulīkaraṇārthamabhedenaivoktaḥ| iti saptadhā deśitā satpuruṣagatiḥ|
kasmāt punaḥ strotaāpannasakṛdāgāminoḥ satpuruṣagatirna deśitā satpu[ru]ṣasūtroddeśe lakṣaṇepi sati taducyate-
sati vṛtteraṇe(nai)ryāṇāduktaiṣāmeva sadgatiḥ||
yasmādanāgāminaḥ satyeva vṛttirbhavati nāsatī| itarayostu kuśalākuśale vṛttiḥ| yasmāccānāgāmī yato gatastatra na punarāgacchati, tau tu gatāgatī kurvāte tasmāttasyaiva sa(sā) gatirdeśitā netarayoriti||
kiṃ punaḥ parāvṛttajanmāpyanāgāmī satpuruṣagatau vyavasthāpitaḥ ? netyāha| yasmāt-
[429] parāvṛttabhavo hyāryo neha dhātvantaropagaḥ|

eṣa cordhvagatiścaiva nākṣamaṃ cārahāṇi(ni)bhāk||
ūrdhvadhātūpapannaḥ ūrdhvagatirārya ityapi kṛtaṃ dvayorapyaṇa(na)yorṇā(rnā)stīndriyasaṃcāro na parihāṇiḥ| janmāntaraparivāsenāryamārgasya santatau dṛḍhataraṇi(ni)veśāt, āśrayaviśeṣalābhādāryasya janmāntare rūpārūpyapraveśendriyasaṃcāraparihāṇayo na santi||
atha yaduktaṃ ghyānavyavakiraṇāditi tatra katamaddhyānamādau vyavakīryate ?
[430] antyakāmīryate pūrvaṃ siddhirdvikṣaṇamiśraṇāt|
caturthe hi praśrabdhisukhotkaṭaḥ samādhiḥ sarvakarmaṇyo yatastatsaṃmukhībhāvāt, āśrayasyopacaye satyāmṛtābhivṛddhiḥ yena śaknoti dhyānāni vyavakaritum|
kathaṃ punardhyānāni vyakīryante ? ādau tāvadanāsravaṃ pravāhayuktaṃ caturthaṃ dhyānaṃ samāpadyate| tasmādvyutthāya tadeva sāsravaṃ pravāhayuktaṃ samāpadyate|
punaśca tadutthitaḥ anāsravaṃ tathaiva sa tān pravāhānhrasitvā yāva[tkṣaṇa] dvaye tiṣṭhatītyeṣa prayogaḥ|
siddhistu kṣaṇadvayamisraṇāt| yadā tu śaknotyekenāsravakṣaṇānantaramekaṃ laukikaṃ saṃmukhīkartum, ekalaukikakṣaṇāntaraṃ caikamanāsravamayatnena, evamanāsravābhyāṃ sāsravasya miśrīkaraṇānniṣpannā bhavati dhyānavyavakiraṇā|
kimarthaṃ punardhyānavyavakiraṇam ? taducyate-
udbhavārthaṃ sukhārthaṃ ca kleśāśaṅkārthameva ca||
tribhiḥ kāraṇairdhyānāni vyavakīryante| upapattyarthaṃ sukhavihārārthaṃ kleśaparihāṇibhīrutayā ca| tatra dṛṣṭiprāptaḥ upapattyabhilāṣasamāpattipriyatābhyām| śraddhādhimuktastu pūrvābhyāṃ ca kāraṇābhyāṃ kleśabhīrūtayā ca| asamayavimukto'pyarhan dri(dṛ)ṣṭadharmasukhavihārārtham| samayavimuktaśca kleśabhīrutayā ceti||
yaccaitadvyavakiraṇamuktam,
[431] tatpāñcavidhyataḥ pañca śuddhāvāsabhuvaḥ smṛtāḥ|
taddhi caturthadhyānavyavakiraṇaṃ pañcaprakāraṃ mṛdumadhyādhimātratara madhimātratamabhedāt| ato hetupāñcavidhyāt phalamapi pañcavidhaṃ bhavati|
etāḥ punaḥ śuddhāvāsabhūmayaḥ
na jātu dṛṣṭapūrvāstāḥ sarvairapi pṛthagjanaiḥ||
bhavāgramupādāya brahmalokamindralokaṃ yāvadavīcimupādāya sarvabālapṛthagjanairdṛ (radṛ)ṣṭapūrvamanyatra śuddhāvāsebhya iti|
abhidharmapradīpe vibhāṣāprabhāyāṃ vṛttau ṣaṣṭhasyādhyāyasya dvitīyaḥ pādaḥ||

[432] yo nirodhasamāpattimaśnute kāyasākṣyasau|
yaḥ khalu nirodhasamāpattilābhyanāgāmī sa kāyasākṣītyucyate| nirvāṇasadṛśasya dharmasya kāyeṇa(na) sākṣātkaraṇāt| sa khalu dharmaḥ kāyāśrayeṇopajāyate| tatprāptilābhādapi nirodhalābhītyucyate|
bhavāgrāṣṭāṃśahā yāvadarhattvapratipannakaḥ||
prathamaghyānavairāgyādekaprakāramārabhya yāvadbhavāgrāṣṭaprakāraprahāṇādarhattvapratipannakodraṣṭavyaḥ||
[433] yaścānantaryamārge'ntye vajraupamyāhvayesthitaḥ|
navamasyāpi bhāvāgrikasya prakārasya prahāṇāyānantaryamārge'ntye'ntyaphalapratipannakaḥ evāvagantavyaḥ|
tatphalārthaṃ kṣayajñānaṃ tadekālambanaṃ na vā||
tasya vajropamasya samādherbalādutthitaṃ tadbalotthamantyavimuktimārgākhyaṃ tena sahaikālambanaṃ bhavati na vā| kṣayajñānasya catuḥsatyālambanatvāt||
[434] tadavāpteraśaikṣo'sāvarhaṃstrailokyasatkṛtaḥ|
sarvakleśavisaṃyuktaḥ śikṣātritayapāragaḥ||
sa khalu trayāṇāmāsravāṇāṃ niravaśeṣaprahāṇāttisṛṇāṃ ca śikṣāṇāṃ pāragamanāt sabrahmakasyāpi lokasya pūjāmarhatītyarhannirucyate||
eṣāṃ punastrayāṇāṃ mārgāṇāṃ katamaḥ sāsravo katamo nirāsravaḥ ? taducyate-
[435] bhāvanākhyo dvidhā mārgaḥ samalāmalabhedataḥ|
darśaṇā(nā)khyastu vijñeyaḥ sarvasyaiva nirāsravaḥ||
[436] ānupūrvikayadbhūyovītarāgāvītarāgāṇām| (-vītāvītarāgiṇām)
aśaikṣākhyopi boddhavyo nityamevāmalīmasaḥ||
katamatpunaḥ katamāṃ bhūmimatyeti ? tadapadiśyate-
[437 a] bhavāgraṃ nirmalo'tyeti........

[438] saviśeṣaṃ yatastyaktvā phalaṃ paramupāśnute|
iha khalu yaḥ phalaviśiṣṭamārgasthaḥ indriyāṇi saṃcarati saphalaṃ phala[vi]śiṣṭaṃ ca mṛdvindriyamārgaṃ tyaktvā tīkṣṇendriyamārgasaṃgṛhītaṃ phalamātrameva pratilabhate| yaścāśaikṣaḥ ārūpyabhūmiṃ niḥśrityendriyāni(ṇi) saṃcarati niyatamanāgāmiphalaviśeṣamārgasthasya na cāstyanāgāmiphalamārūpyabhūmisaṃgṛhītam| ityetat kāraṇam|
yaduktaṃ bhagavatā- “kleśāt(n) prahāyeha hi yastu pañcāhāryadharmā paripūrṇaśaikṣaḥ” iti| kiyatā paripūrṇaśaikṣo bhavati ?
śaikṣasya tribhirakṣādyairdvābhyāṃ saṃpūrṇaṃtārhataḥ||
śaikṣasya khalu tribhiḥ kāraṇaiḥ paripūrṇatā bhavati| samāpattīndriyaphalaiḥ| tadyathā dṛṣṭiprāptasya kāmasākṣiṇaḥ anyataravaikalyāttu na paripūrṇatā syātprāgeva sarvavaikalyāt| tadyathā kāmāvītarāgasya śraddhādhimuktasyaivaṃ tāvacchaikṣasya|
aśaikṣasya dvābhyāmindriyasamāpattibhyām| tadyathobhayabhāgavimuktasya asamayavimuktasyeti||
abhidharmadīpe vibhāṣāprabhāyāṃ vṛttau ṣaṣṭhasyādhyāyasya tṛtīyaḥ pādaḥ||

[439] vijñātavyaḥ samāsena punamārgaścaturvidhaḥ|
ānantaryavimuktyākhyau prārambhotkarṣalakṣaṇau||
tatra prayogamārgaḥ kuśalamūlaphalasyārambha ityarthaḥ| tasyānantaramānantaryamārgaḥ yena kleśāñjahāti| vimuktimārgo yaḥ tatpraheyāvaraṇavimukte santāne visaṃyogaprāptisahāyotpadyate| viśeṣamārgo yastadūrghvamanyakuśalamūlaprāptyarthamutkarṣagamanalakṣaṇaḥ||
punarmārgo bhagavatā mokṣapurapratipādanāt pratipacchabdenoktaḥ “catasraḥ pratipadaḥ| asti pratipatsukhā dhandhābhijñā| asti sukhā kṣiprābhijñā| asti duḥkhā dhandhābhijñā| asti duḥkhā kṣiprābhijñā|” tāsāṃ punarindriyato bhūmitaśca vyavasthānaṃ tadidaṃ pradarśyate-
[440] tīkṣṇendriyasya mauleṣu dhyāneṣu pratipatsukhā|
kṣiprābhijñālpabuddhestu dhandhānyatra viparyayāt||
mauleṣu khalu caturṣu dhyāneṣu yo mārgaḥ sā sukhāpratipat| sā ca tīkṣṇendriyasya kṣiprābhijñā tatrāyatnavāhitvāt| nairyāṇavatsukhā tatrāyatnavāhitvā[t] śamathavidarśaṇa(na)yoḥ sāmyāt| tatraiva sā mṛdvindriyasya dhandhābhijñā| anyāsu tu pañcasu bhūmiṣvanāgamyadhyānāntarikārūpyatrayasaṃgṛhītāsvanaṅgaparigṛhītatvāt| śamathavidarśanānyūnatvāt anāgamyadhyānāntarikayorārūpyatraye cānāsravo mārgaḥ tīkṣṇendriyasya pratipat, duḥkhā kṣiprābhijñā| mṛdvindriyasya duḥkhā dhandhābhijñā |
kathaṃ punarāryamārgo duḥkho bhavati ? nāsau duḥkhātmakaḥ na duḥkhasaṃprayuktaḥ ? naiṣa doṣaḥ| yatnavāhitvābhisandhervivakṣitatvāt||
punarapyeṣa mārgo bodhipakṣyaśabdenocyate “saptatriṃśadbodhipakṣyā dharmāḥ| catvāri smṛtyupasthānāni catvāri samyakprahānā(ṇā)ni catvāro ṛddhipādāḥ pañcendriyāṇi pañca balāṇi(ni) saptabodhyaṅgānyaṣṭāṅgo mārgaḥ” iti|
kā punariyaṃ bodhiḥ ?
[441] kṣayajñānaṃ matā bodhistathā'nutpādadhīrapi|
daśa caikaśca tatpakṣyāḥ saptatriṃśattu nāmataḥ||
sā punareṣā bodhiḥ kṣayānutpādajñānarūpāsatī pudgalabhedena tridhā bhidyate| tisro bodhayaḥ| buddhapratyekabuddhaśrāvakabodhayaḥ| uttamanirvāṇāṅgabhūtā taddhi tisṛṇāmapi bodhīnāṃ puruṣakāraphalaṃ tatprādhānyatvāt| mṛdumadhyādhimātrāḥ saptatriṃśadbodhipakṣyā dharmāḥ mṛdumadhyādhimātrabhedabhinnā mahāyāṇa(na)m| mṛdumadhyādhimātrabhedabhinnaṃ buddhapratyekabuddhaśrāvakayāṇa(na) mityucyate|
tasyāḥ punastriprakārāyā bodheranukūladharmāḥ smṛtyupasthānādayaḥ ‘saptatriṃśannāmataḥ’| dravyatastvekādaśa| śraddhādīni pañca balāni prītiprasrabdhyupekṣāsamyaksaṃkalpavākkarmāntāśca ṣaḍiti| ata idamucyate-
[442] sopekṣāprītisaṃkalpaṃ śraddhādīndriyapañcakam|
saprasrabdhirdvirūpotthaṃ nāmabhedastvapekṣayā||
[443] balānyatrendriyāṇyeva prajñaiva smṛtyupasthitiḥ|
vīryaṃ samyakpradhānākhyaṃ ri(ṛ)ddhipādā manasthitiḥ||
kathaṃ punarekaṃ vīryaṃ caturdhā nirdiśyate ? tadapadiśte-
[444] doṣahāṇamanutpādaṃ guṇotpādaṃ vivardhanam|
sakṛtkaroti yattaddhi sa prahāṇacatuṣṭayam||
utpannānāṃ rāgādīnāṃ khalu doṣāṇāṃ prahāṇāyānutpannānāṃ cānutpādāya yadvīryam, guṇānāṃ ca smṛtyupasthānardhipādādīnāmanutpannānāmutpādāya, utpannānāṃ ca sthitaye yadvīryaṃ, tatprayojananiṣpattibhedāccatvāri samyakprahāṇāni bhavanti||
[445] chandavyāyāmamīmāṃsā cittākṛṣṭāḥ samādhayaḥ|
ri(ṛ)ddhipādāstu catvāro guṇasampattiyoṇa(na)yaḥ||
chandamadhipatiṃ kṛtvā yo ṇi(ni)ṣpadyate samādhiḥ sa chandasamādhiḥ| kuśalamūlacchandamūlakatvāt samādhyādiguṇaniṣpatteḥ, tasmādasau chandasamādhirityucyate| tatprabhavāḥ sarvā guṇardhayaḥ| evaṃ vīryaṃ cittaṃ mīmāṃsāmadhipatiṃ kṛtvā niṣpannaḥ samādhiḥ sa eṣa cchandavīryacittamīmāṃsāsamādhiścaturvidhaḥ| prahāṇasaṃskāraiḥ cchandavīryasmṛtibuddhiśraddhāprasrabdhicetanopekṣābhiḥ pratyekaṃ samanvāgataḥ sarvaguṇasamṛddhiniṣpādako bhavati chandavīryacittamīmāṃsāparigrahaḥ sāmarthyāt| kuśaladharmacchande hyasati kutastat prāptyārambhaḥ ? ārabdhepi ca vīrye yadi na tatpraguṇameva cittaṃ bhavati na kāryābhiniṣpattirbhavati| yathā'raṇīmabhinirmathyāpyantarāyavyuparamo bhavati punaḥ śaityamāpadyate tadvaditi| vīryānuvṛttaye cittamadhipatimiṣyate| tatpravaṇepi citte yadi sūkṣmān samādhyupakleśānnopalakṣya parivarjayati yadi samādhyanuguṇān, guṇāṃstu sāmānyalakṣaṇaśaktikriyānuttamārthāṅgabhūtānupalakṣya, prajñayā nopacinoti tasyānyāyārabdhavīrye trayamapyetanna prayojananiṣpattaye bhavati| evaṃ chandavīryaśraddhāsmṛtibuddhiprasrabdhicetanopekṣākhyānāmaṣṭāṇāṃ prahāṇasaṃskārāṇāṃ samādhiparigrahasāmarthyaṃ yathāyogamavagantavyam||
[446] proktaṃ bodhitrayeśitvācchraddhādīndriyapañcakam|
kathitaṃ balaśabdena tadevānabhibhūtitaḥ||
śraddhāvīryasmṛtisamādhiprajñārūpāṇi khalu pañcendriyāṇi bodhipakṣyeṣu vyavasthāpyante| bodhitrayādhigame śraddhādīnāṃ pañcānāmaiśvaryādhikyāt, sarvabhūmīṣūpalabdheśca| eteṣāṃ cādhimātramadhyamṛdutaratamaviśeṣādarhatprabhṛtīnāṃ vyavasthānaṃ bhavati| tānyeva bodhipakṣyeṣvindriyāṇyuktāni, na cakṣurādīnyājñātavatendriyaparyavasānāni| eṣāmevai[śvarya]rddhiliṅgatvāt| ihendrāḥ dvividhāḥ| citteśvarāśca dhaneśvarāaścetyataḥ indraliṅgamindriyama(mi)tikṛtvendriyāṇi| yathā pṛthivīśvarāṇāṃ paṭṭādīni liṅgāni bhavanti yaiḥ pṛthivīśvaroyamiti prajñāyate| yathā ca pṛthivīśvarāḥ vibhūṣaṇopabhogaiḥ parijñāyante tathā citteśvarāṇāmāryadhanasamṛddhānāṃ ca śraddhādīni viṣkambhitaprahīṇavipakṣāṇi nirmalāni liṅgāni bhavanti|
tatra tāvacchraddhāyāḥ svalakṣaṇaṃ buddhadharmasaṅghān sambhāvayataścittaṃ prasādamupayāti sadbhūtaguṇayogādapetadoṣatvācca, taddharmeṣu ca prasādātmakamevārthitvamutpadyate| pratītyasamutpādādīnāṃ vā yathābhūtapratyavekṣaṇāt karmaphalādiṣu tatra saṃbhāvanā bhavati| tathā ca saṃbhāvayato yaścetasaḥ prasādaḥ sā śraddhā nāma dharmaścittena saṃprayuktaḥ| yadā(thā'')darśādau dharmasamūhe, dharmāntaramādarśaprasādādayaḥ, evamarūpiṇi cittādidharmasamudayā dharmāntaraṃ śraddhādayaḥ, cittasyāśrayabhāvāt prādhānyāt santānānuvṛtteśca cittavyapadeśaḥ|
vīryaṃ ṇā(nā)ma cetasopyu(bhyu)tsāhalakṣaṇaṃ prayojana(ne) vārthiśakyatāṃ saṃbhāvya vividhamīryata iti vīryam|
smṛtīndriyaṃ nāma kāyādiṣu prajñayopalakṣiteṣu yā khalvaviparītābhilapanā pratyabhijñānam, yenāvadhārite viṣayasaṃmoṣaścetasi na bhavati sa khalvasaṃmoṣaḥ smṛtīndriyam|
cetasa ekāgralakṣaṇaṃ samādhīndriyam| viṣayagrāhiviṣayiṇo dharmāstadekālambanaṃ cittamekāgramityucyate| vicitraviṣayapradyute hyanavasthite cetasi tattvāvadhāraṇaṃ na bhavati| yathā khalu vidrutajavanāśvārūḍhaḥ puruṣaḥ pratimukhamāgacchatāṃ dṛṣṭapūrvāṇāmapi manuṣyādīnāṃ na śaknoti vyaktimupalakṣayitumevamanekaviṣayapradrute laghuparivartini citte na kāyādiviṣayatattvopalakṣaṇā bhavati| yadā tu susārathineva samādhinaikasmin viṣaye ciraṃ cittamādhāryate tadā dharmatattvamupalakṣayati| tasmāt kuḍya iva raṅgasya śleṣaḥ samādhirālambane cittasyādhāraḥ|
prajñendrisaṃ yat svasāmānyalakṣaṇamupalakṣayati| yacca kāyadīnāṃ tattvamabhimukhavadavasthitaṃ prāptamiva ślaṣṭamiva pṛṣṭhe(ṣṭha i)va ca lakṣayati sopalakṣaṇāt prajñendriyam| yadyapi sarvacitteṣu yathāviṣaye pratyupalakṣaṇā vidyate na tu sā yathārthapravṛtteti na sendriyam|
etānyevendriyāṇi śraddhādīni yasmādyogiṇaḥ(naḥ) kleśasaṃgrāmāvatīrṇāḥ (rṇasya) kleśānīkavijaye pradhānāṅgabhūtāni rājña iva hastyādayastasmādbalānītyucyante|
[447] bodhanārthena nirdiṣṭaṃ śāstrā boghyaṅgasaptakam|
pratītyādi(-tyā) paramārtheṇa(na) prajñetyantamanugrahāt||
samānepi bodhipākṣikatve viśeṣeṇaite saptadharmā bodhyaṅgāni bhavanti| bhāvanāmārge khalveteṣāṃ prādhānyaṃ dṛṣṭasatyasthā[na]ta eva| dharmopalakṣaṇopalakṣitasvarūpādiṣu guṇadoṣeṣu smṛtipramoṣadoṣāpanayanārthamādau smṛtisaṃbodhyaṅgamuktam|
hlādaḥ prasrabdhiḥ| rāgajādiparidāhaprataptacittaśarīrasya grīṣmārkaprataptasyeva śītodakahradāvagāhanādanāsravajñānasaṃmukhībhāvā dyat kāyacittaprahlādaḥ sa dharmaḥ prasrabdhiḥ|
upekṣā nāma rāgadveṣapakṣapātavipakṣeṇa yathābhūtajñeyamavekṣamānasya yaccittasamatānyatarapakṣābhisaṃskāravipakṣo nirvāṇāśayā sopekṣā bodhyaṅgamityucyate|
atra punaḥ prītyādīni trīṇyapi kṛtā[vaśe]ṣāṇi catvāri pūrvameva vyākhyātāni| teṣāṃ punaḥ saptānāṃ buddhirdharmapravicayalakṣaṇā bodhiśca bodhyaṅgaṃ ca| jñānaṃ hi bodhiḥ jñānaṃ ca prajñā śeṣāṇyaṅgānyeva||
teṣāmapi ca
[448] prītiprasrabdhyupekṣāṇāmuktāddhetostadaṅgatā|
nirāmiṣaprītiprasrabdhyupekṣābhiḥ prīṇitendriyagrāmaḥ sukhamanudvigno bodhimadhigacchati| yāṇi(ni) caiṣāṃ lakṣaṇanirdeśakāraṇānyuktāni tataśca bodhyaṅgatvamiti|
saṃkalpādeścatuṣkasya patho jñeyānukūlyataḥ||
aṅgateti vartate| samyaksaṃkalpasamyagvākkarmāntājīvānāṃ samyagdṛṣṭisamyagvyāyāmasamyaksmṛtisamyaksamādhīnāmiva mārgānukūlyādaṅgatvam||
ayaṃ punarāryamārgasatattvapiṇḍārthaḥ-
[449] vidyāprabhaḥ ślakṣṇavikalpabhūmiḥ śīlānuyātraḥ smṛtivīryamitraḥ|
samādhisarvādhisukhopabhogo mārgo vimuktidvayadhiṣṇyago'yam||
[450] prādhānyaṃ saptavargasya prāga(ra)mbhoṣmagatādiṣu|
atra punaḥ
yathākramaṃ viboddhavyaṃ bhāvanādṛṣṭimārgayoḥ||
tatra smṛtyupasthānānyādikarmikāvasthāprabhāvitāni kāyādisvabhāvopalakṣaṇāt| samyakprahāṇānyūṣmagateṣu| tatra saṃsāraṇi(ni)rvāṇayorādīnavānuśaṃsadarśane balavadvīryāśrayaṇāt saṃsārapāramuttarati| mūrdhāvasthāyāmṛddhipādāḥ prabhāvyante teṣu samādhibalalābhāccittanigrahe sati parihāṇyabhāvānna kadācid guṇadhanadaridro bhavati| indriyāṇi kṣā(kṣā)ntiṣvapāyātyantanivṛttau tadādhipatyāt| balānyatra(gra)dharmeṣu kleśānavamardanīyatvāt| bodhyaṅgānāṃ bhāvanāmārge prādhānyaṃ vāsīdaṇḍopamayā mārgabhāvaṇa(na)yā niravaśeṣakleśaprahāṇāt| navaprakāratayā vā malaprahāṇe sati bodherāsannībhāvāt| darśaṇa(na)mārge mārgāṅgāni darśanaheyakleśaprahāṇārthamāśu traidhātukātikramano(ṇo)tpādā[t| ā] nupūrvīvyatikramastu deśanānukūlyāt||
atha kasmāccaitasikadharmadharmibhūtaṃ cittaṃ bodhipakṣyeṣu ṇa(na) vyavasthāpitam ? saṃjñācetanāmanaskāracchandādhimokṣādayaśca dharmā bodhipakṣyeṣu ṇa(na) vyavasthāpyante ? tadidamanuvarṇyate-
[451] na cittaṃ rājakalpatvād guṇadoṣānuvartanāt|
rājasthānīyaṃ khalu cittaṃ tadbodhipakṣyairdharmairviśodhya mokṣasukhamupalabhyate| yathaiva ca guṇānuvarti cittaṃ tathaiva doṣānuvarti| yathoktam-“cittasaṃkleśātsattvā saṃkliṣyante| cittavyavadānahetośca viśuddhyante|” tasya rāgādayaḥ saṃkleśakarāḥ, śraddhādayo vyavadānādhāyinastasmāccittaṃ na vyavasthāpitam|
vyavahārānukūlyatvāt saṃjñā hyeteṣu neṣyate||
prāyo hi vyavahārānupatitā saṃjñā bodhipakṣyāstvekāntena paramārthapakṣabhajamānāḥ||
[452] vipākaphalanimnatvānmārgokteśca na cetanā|
cetanā khalviṣṭāniṣṭavipākanirvartaṇa(na)tvāt mārgaśabdenābhidhānācca nocyate|
nāprādhānyānmanaskāro vidyā'vidyāpravartaṇā(nā)t||
manaskāropi samyagdṛṣṭeraṅgabhūtatvādapradhānaṃ vidyā'vidyāpravartaṇā(na) cca||
[453] kriyārambhapradhānatvāna(nna)cchando vīryabṛṃhaṇāt|
chandaḥ khalu karttukāmatārūpaḥ kriyārambhaḥ prabhāvyate| vīrya cānubṛṃhayati| tadvīryaṃ bodhipratilambhakartavyatāparisamāpterūrghvaṃ yāvadanuvartate|
nādhimokṣaḥ samāropānna sparśo daurvibhāvyataḥ||
prāyeṇa khalvadhimokṣo'dhimuktamanaskāreṣu vartate| sparśopi trisannipātamātravipratipatterduravadhāravṛttiḥ| tasmānnoktaḥ||
[454] nāryavaṃśa hryapatrāpyāryo(-pyā) [a]viśāradavṛttitaḥ|
catvāraḥ khalvāryavaṃśāḥ hryapatrāpye ca| navapravrajitabhikṣuvadaviśāradavṛttitvānna bodhipakṣyāt(kṣyāḥ)|
nnā(nā)pramādaḥ parāṅgatvānnāvihiṃsā'viheṭhanāt||
vīryabhāṇḍāgārikaḥ khalvapramādaḥ| avihiṃsā ca viheṭhanāmātrapratipakṣatvānnoktā||
[455] sattvādhiṣṭhānavṛttitvānna maitrīkaruṇādayaḥ|
dharmāghiṣṭhānāḥ khalu bodhipakṣyāḥ maitryādayastvekāntena sattvādhiṣṭhānāḥ|
mārgāṅgākṣaikadeśatvānnāpyavetyaprasattayaḥ||
avetyaprasādāḥ khalu mārgāṅgaikadeśasvabhāvatvādakṣaikadeśarūpatvācca na punarbodhipakṣyeṣūktāḥ|
[456] nādveṣaḥ śubhamūlebhyaḥ sattvagocarabhāvataḥ|
sattvādhiṣṭhānapravṛtto hi adveṣaḥ| tasmānna bodhipakṣyaḥ|
audāsīnyānna nirvāṇaṃ daviṣṭhyānna paradhvaniḥ||
niṣkriyaṃ khalu nirvāṇaṃ kriyāvantastu bodhipakṣyā dharmāḥ| parato ghoṣaḥ khalvapi bodhipakṣyāṅgabhāvā(vo) bodherbahiraṅgabhāvādviprakṛṣyate| tasmāt saptatriṃśadeva dharmā bodhipakṣyāḥ||
kati punarbodhipakṣyāḥ sāsravāḥ katyanāsravāḥ ? tadidaṃ pradarśyate-
[457] bodhyaṅgānyarajaskāni bodhi(dhe)rnediṣṭabhāvataḥ|
tadanyānyavabodhyāni samalānyamalānyapi||
bodhyaṅgāni khalu bodherāsannatamatvādekāntānāsravāṇi| tadanye tu sāsravānāsravāḥ sarve hi kuśalā dharmā āryamārgāvāhakā nirvānā(ṇā)śayāśca| bodhitrayasaṃnikṛṣṭaviprakṛṣṭāṅgabhāvā bodhipakṣyā ityucyante| uktaṃ hi bhagavatā- “adhigato me paurāṇo mārgaḥ” iti vacanāt| śāstre tu bodhyaṅgopari ye paṭhyante samyagdṛṣṭyādayo dharmāste'nāsravā iti||
kasyāṃ punarbhūmau kiyanto bodhipakṣyā vidyante ?
[458] ādye dhyāne'khilā maule'nāgamye prītyapākṛtāḥ|
dvitīye'pyapasaṃkalpā dvayoścāsmāt dvayādṛte||
[459] śīlāṅgebhyaśca tābhyāṃ ca draṣṭavyā triṣvarūpiṣu|
bodhyaṅgebhyaśca sarvā(rve)bhyo kāme bodhyaṅgavarjitāḥ||
tatra tāvanmaule dhyāne sarvepi saptatṛ(triṃ)śadbodhipakṣyā vidyante| anāgamye tu prītivarjitāḥ| tatra prīterabhāvāt| vītarāgāvītarāgasādhāraṇaiṣā bhūmiriti nāsti prītiḥ| dvitīye tu dhyāne saṃkalpavarjitāḥ sarve vidyante| tṛtīyacaturthayostu dhyānayoḥ saṃkalpaprītivarjyāḥ pañcatriṃśat| ‘ca’śabdād dhyānāntarepi pañcatriṃśat saṃkalpaprītivarjitāḥ| triṣvārūpyeṣu samyagvākkarmāntājīvaistribhiḥ prītisaṃkalpābhyāṃ ca| bhavāgrepi śīlāṅgatrayaprītisaṃkalpabodhyaṅgavarjitāḥ pañcaviṃśatiḥ| kāmadhātāvapi bodhyaṅgavarjitāstriṃśadvidyanta iti| ye punaraṇā(nā)stravāṇyeva mārgāṅgānīcchanti teṣāṃ tairapi varjitāḥ śeṣā bodhipakṣyā vidyanta iti| gatametat||
idaṃ tu vaktavyam| bodhipa(pā)kṣikādhikāre-
[460] yastatprathamatāḥ proktāścatasrastatra kovidaiḥ|
nyāmāvakrāntivairāgyaphalāptyakṣavivṛddhiṣu||
nyāmāvakrāntitatprathamatā, vairāgyatatprathamatā, phalaprāptitatprathamatā, irndriyāntaravivṛddhitatprathamatā tāsu khalvetāsu catasṛṣu tatpra[tha]matāsu-
[461] aṣṭānāṃ nīrajaskānāṃ mārgāṅgāṇāṃ(nāṃ) yathāyatham|
tāsvekasyādhvasu jñeyau lābhālābhau navāśrayau||
boghipakṣyabhāvanāprayuktasyāvetyaprasādapratilambho'vaśyambhāvītyato vaktavyaṃ kasmin satye dṛśyamāne kasyāvetyaprasādasya lābhaḥ ? tadidaṃ nirdiśyate-
[462] trisatyādhigame lābhaḥ śīladharmaprasādayoḥ|
mārgasatyekṣaṇe buddhasaṅghagocarayorapi||
duḥkhasatyamabhisamāgacchannāryakāntāni ca śīlāni pratilabhate dharme cāvetyaprasādaḥ| katarasmin dharme ? tasminneva duḥkhasatye| dharmamātramidaṃ sarvaṃ dvādaśāyatanamātramityarthaḥ| nātra kaścidekaḥ sarvabhedānvayī jātidravyākhyo dharmī vidyate| na cātra santi puruṣajīvapugdalā bhūtakoṭayaḥ śaśaviṣāṇakalpā nirātmāna iti| evaṃ samudayamabhisamāgacchato dvayoreva lābhaḥ| tadvinnirodhaṃ samāgacchato draṣṭavyam| mārgasatyekṣaṇe tu buddhe bhagavati prasādo labhyate tatsaṅghe ca| sadbhūtamārgākhyāyī bhagavānmārgajño mārgadeśika[:]| yepi ca taṃ mārgaṃ pratipannāḥ śrāvakāḥ śaikṣāśaikṣāḥ puruṣavṛṣabhāḥ ye ca saptasaddharmādipradīpaprakāśitabuddhyāśayasā(?)ca bodhisattvasiṃhāḥ darśanamārgaguhādhyāsinaḥ teṣu ca prasādo bhavati dvyākāraśraddhāsvarūpaḥ| so'yaṃ vistareṇocyate||
sa punardharmo nirvāṇaṃ bodhisattvasantānikaśca mārgaḥ||
kaḥ punareṣa buddhaḥ ko vā tatprasāda ityapadiśyate-
[463] bauddhātsaṅghādṛte mārgādyā śraddhā satyagocarā|
dharmāvetyaprasādosau saṃpratītyaprabhāvataḥ||
[464] mohanidrātamonāśāddhīnetronmīlanā[t] svayam|
buddho yastadguṇe śraddhā prasādaḥ sa jine mataḥ||
dviprakāro hi buddhaśabdasyārtho mukhyo gauna(ṇa)śca| tatrādyo buddhaka(kā)rakā buddhasyāśaikṣā dharmāḥ| gauna(ṇa)stu tadādhārepi śarīre tatphalabhūteṣu cāṣṭādaśasvāveṇikeṣu buddhaguṇeṣu buddhaśabdasādhutvaṃ pūrvameva pradarśitam||
[465] śaikṣāśaikṣaguṇāḍhyānāṃ pudgalānāṃ ya ākaraḥ|
tadguṇālambanā śraddhā prasādaḥ saṅkhagocaraḥ||
uktaṃ hi sūtre-“kati bhadanta loke dakṣiṇīyāḥ ? dvau gṛhapate śaikṣā aśaikṣāśca| tatrāṣṭādaśa śaikṣāḥ nava śaikṣāḥ|” iti vistaraḥ||
[466] śīlānāṃ yattu vaimalyaṃ tatprasādastathaiva tu|
kati punareṣāṃ dravyataḥ kati nāmataḥ ?
dravyato dvayamevaitannāmatastu catuṣṭayam||
śraddhā ratnatrayālambanabhedena tridhā bhitvāryakāntāni ca śīlānyekadhā kṛtvā tatrāpi vaimalyaprasādoktiḥ| yaddhi nirmalaṃ tat prasannamityucyate||
idamidānīṃ vācyam| atha kasmātsamanvāgatopi śaikṣaḥ samyagjñānena samyagvimuktyā cāṣṭābhiraṅgaiḥ samanvāgataḥ śaikṣaḥ prātipada ityuktaṃ daśabhirarhan kṣīṇāsrava iti ? taducyate-
[467] śaikṣasya bandhaśeṣatvādvimuktirṇā(rnā)ṅgamiṣyate|
śaikṣasya vidyamānāpi anākāritvānnāṅgamucyate| satyāmapi hi tasyāṃ kleśabandhanabaddhaḥ śaikṣo ṇa(na) ca vimokṣo yujyate|
kā punariyaṃ vimuktiḥ katidhā ca ? tadapadiśyate-
mokṣādhimokṣarūpatvānnityānityatvato dvidhā||
svarūpabhedādapi dvidhā prakārabhedādapīti| svabhāvabhedāt mokṣādhimokṣasvabhāvā| prakārabhedopi kṣarākṣarabhedāt, sāmayikī kāntā'kopyabhedādvā rā[ga]virāgāvidyāvirāgabhedācca||
atha samyagjñānaṃ katamattaducyate-
[468] pūrvoktaiva hi yā bodhiḥ sā samyagjñānamucyate|
kṣayānutpādajñāne bodhirityuktam| te eva samyagjñānaṃ veditavyam|
katarat puna[ścittaṃ] vimucyate ? kiṃ jātaniruddhamathājātaniruddhamatha jātameva ?
mucyate(')nāgataṃ cittamaśaikṣaṃ kleśarodhataḥ||
kaścit khalvāha-anāgataṃ khalu cittamutpādyamānaṃ vimucyate'dhvavimuktyā sarvameva tvanāgataṃ vimucyate| kleśāvaraṇāt santānavimuktyāḥ(ktyā)| tatpunaraśaikṣameva kleśopakleśaprāptivibandhādā(pa)gamā[t]| yadapi tadrūpārūpyapratisaṃyuktaṃ karmopapattiphalaṃ tadapyarhattvaprāptivibandhakaraṃ tacca sarvaṃ vajropamena prahīyata ityāvaraṇavigamāt sarvamevānāgatamaśaikṣaṃ cittaṃ vimucyate||
dharmā eva tu paramārthataḥ śikṣante| yasmāt-
[469] dharmavyāpārato loke dharmyapi vyāvṛ(pṛ)to mataḥ|
auṣṇyākhyasya dharmasyendhanādidahanavyāpāre satyagnerapi dharmiṇo vyāpāra ucyate| agninā kāṣṭhaṃ dagdhamityagnidahanavyāpāre ca devadattena dagdhosmītyupacaryate| tathā dharmāṇāṃ kleśaprahāṇaśikṣaṇe sati tatsambandhāpekṣayā bhikṣuraśaikṣa ityucyate|
mārgastūpāttakāritro nirasyati tadāvṛtim||
‘tu’śabdānnirudhyamāna evetyarthaḥ, vartamānasya hi kriyābandhāt sāmarthyopapatteḥ|
atha yeyamasaṃskṛtā vimuktiḥ ye ca trayo dhātavaḥ prahāṇadhātvādayaḥ, te tataḥ kimanye'thānanye ? brūmaḥ-
[470] vimukti[:] śāśvatī yaiva sā virāgādayastrayaḥ|
ākhyātā dhātavaḥ sūtre tridhā bhedo hyapekṣayā||
prajñaptiviśeṣāpekṣayā khalveṣāṃ traividhyamuktam| katham ?
[471] virāgo rāganirmokṣaḥ prahāṇākhyo'nyasaṃkṣayaḥ|
nirodhadhāturanyasya sopādānasya vastunaḥ||
rāgaprahāṇaṃ khalu virāgadhāturityucyate| tadanyeṣāṃ kleśopakleṣa(śā) ṇāṃ(nāṃ) prahāṇadhātuḥ| tadanyasya sopādānasya vastunaḥ nirodho nirodhadhāturākhyāyate||
yeṇa(na) vastunā nirvidyate virajyate'pi tena vastunā ? catuṣkoṭikaḥ praśnaḥ| katham ?
[472] duḥkhahetvavalambinyā yogī nirvidyate dhiyā|
virajyate tu saṃraktastataḥ koṭicatuṣṭayī||
duḥkhasamudayakṣāntibhiḥ tajjñānaiśca nirvidyate, nānyaiḥ| virajyate tu yaḥ saṃraktaḥ sa ca sarvairapi duḥkhasamudayanirodhamārgakṣāntijñānairvirajyate yaiḥ kleśān prajahāti| evaṃ catuṣkoṭiko bhavati|
tatra virvidyata evaṃ kāmavītarāgo niyāmamavakrāman duḥkhasamudayadharmakṣāntibhyāṃ taddharmajñānābhyāṃ ca pūrvaprahīṇatvānna kṣāntibhyāṃ jahātyapratipakṣatvānna jñānābhyāmato na virajyate| bhāvanāmārgepi prayogavimuktiviśeṣā[t] mārgasaṃgṛhītābhyāṃ duḥkhasamudayajñānābhyāṃ na virajyate vimuktatvānnirviddhavastvālambanatvāttu nirvidyate|
dvitīyo(yā) koṭiḥ-virajyate evāvītarāgaḥ kāmebhyo niyāmamavakrāmannirodhamārgadharmānvayakṣāntibhiḥ bhāvanāmārge ca nirodhamārgajñānaistraidhātukādvairāgyaṃ gacchanna nirvidyate|
prāmodyavastvālambanatvādubhayam| vītarāgaḥ kāmebhyo niyāmamavakrāman duḥkhasamudayadharmānvayakṣāntibhirbhāvanāmārge ca duḥkhasamudayajñānaistraidhātukādvairāgyaṃ gacchan|
nobhayam-kāmavītarāgo niyāmamavakrāmannirodhamārgadharmajñānakṣāntibhyāṃ taddharmajñānābhyāṃ ca bhāvanāmārge cānantaryamārgetarābhyāṃ nirodhamārgadharmajñānābhyām||
ya ete trayo dhātavastā eva tisraḥ saṃjñāḥ prahāṇavirāganirodhasaṃjñāḥ| vistareṇa tu
[473] saṃjñā anityasaṃjñādyā daśa tābhyo'śubhādayaḥ|
tisro mārgavidhirmārga[ścata]stro'ntyāstrayī phalam||
aśubhasaṃjñā maraṇasaṃjñā sarvaloke'nabhiratisaṃjñā| mārgaprayogastisṛbhirābhiruktaḥ| catasṛbhiśca mārgo'nityaduḥkhaśūnyānātmasaṃjñābhiḥ| prahāṇavirāganirodhasaṃjñābhiḥ phalamākhyātamiti||
kati punarāsāṃ sāsravāḥ katyanāsravāḥ ?
[474] tritayyaśubhasaṃjñādyā jñeyā tatkhalu sāsravāḥ|
samalā nirmalāstvanyā bodhyā nava bhuvo[']malāḥ||
aśubhā maraṇasarvalokānabhiratisaṃjñāstisraḥ samalāḥ| śeṣāstu sāsravānāsravāḥ, navabhūmikā ā(a) [nā]sravā avaboddhavyāḥ||
[475] bhūmiṣvekādaśasvantyā dhyānādyāsūpalakṣayet|
caturthī pañcamī ṣaṣṭhī vidyā[t] saptasu bhūmiṣu||
abhidharmadīpe vibhāṣāprabhāṇaṃ vṛttau ṣaṣṭhasyādhyāyasya caturthaḥ pādaḥ||
samāptaśca ṣaṣṭho'dhyāyaḥ||
