atha khalu bhagavān punarapi mahāmatiṃ bodhisattvaṃ mahāsattvametadavocat-manomayakāyagatiprabhedanayalakṣaṇaṃ mahāmate upadekṣyāmi | tacchṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-triprakāro mahāmate kāyo manomayaḥ | katamastriprakāraḥ? yaduta samādhisukhasamāpattimanomayo dharmasvabhāvāvabodhamanomayo nikāyasahajasaṃskārakriyāmanomayaśca | prathamottarottarabhūmilakṣaṇaparijñānādadhigacchanti yoginaḥ | tatra katamo mahāmate samādhisukhasamāpattimanomayaḥ kāyaḥ ? yaduta tricaturthapañcamyāṃ bhūmau svacittavividhavivekavihāreṇacittodadhipravṛttitaraṃgavijñānalakṣaṇasukhasamāpattimanaso'pravṛttiḥ svacittadṛśyaviṣayābhāvābhāvaparijñānānmanaso manomayaḥ kāya ityucyate | tatra dharmasvabhāvāvabodhamanomayaḥ kāyaḥ katamaḥ ? yaduta aṣṭamyāṃ bhūmau māyādidharmanirābhāsapravicayāvabodhena cittāśrayaparāvṛttasya māyopamasamādhipratilambhādanyeṣāṃ ca samādhimukhānāṃ pratilambhādanekalakṣaṇavaśitābhijñākusumitaṃ manojavasadṛśaṃ māyāsvapnabimbaprakhyamabhautikaṃ bhūtabhautikasadṛśaṃ sarvarūpaviciatrāṅgasamuditaṃ sarvabuddhakṣetraparṣanmaṇḍalānugataṃ kāyaṃ dharmasvabhāvagatiṃgatatvānmanomaya ityucyate | tatra nikāyasahajasaṃskārakriyāmanomayaḥ kāyaḥ katamaḥ ? yaduta sarvabuddhadharmapratyātmādhigamasukhalakṣaṇāvabodhānnikāyasahajasaṃskārakriyāmanomaya ityucyate | atra te mahāmate kāyatrayalakṣaṇapravicayāvabodhe yogaḥ karaṇīyaḥ ||

tatredamucyate -

na me yānaṃ mahāyānaṃ na ghoṣo na ca akṣarāḥ |

na satyā na vimokṣā vai na nirābhāsagocaram || 1 ||

kiṃ tu yānaṃ mahāyānaṃ samādhivaśavartitā |

kāyo manomayaścitro vaśitāpuṣpamaṇḍitaḥ || 2 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantametadavocat-pañcānantaryāṇi bhagavatā nirdiṣṭāni | katamāni tāni bhagavan pañcānantaryāṇi yānyadhyāpadya kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā avīciko bhavati ? bhagavānāha-tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavānetadavocat-tatra mahāmate pañcānantaryāṇi katamāni ? yaduta mātṛpitrarhadvadhasaṃghabhedāstathāgatakāye duṣṭacittarudhirotpādaśca ||



tatra mahāmate mātā katamā sattvānām ? yaduta tṛṣṇā paunarbhavikī nandīrāgasahagatā mātṛtvenottiṣṭhate | avidyā pitṛtvenāyatanagrāmasyotpattaye | anayorubhayormātāpitroratyantamūlopacchedānmātṛpitṛvadho bhavati | tatra anuśayānāmariprakhyāṇāṃ mūṣikāviṣavatprakopadharmiṇāmatyantasamuddhātādarhadvadho bhavati | tatra saṃdhabhedaḥ katamaḥ ? yaduta bhinnānyonyalakṣaṇasya skandhasaṃghātasyātyantamūlopaghātātsaṃghabheda ityucyate | svasāmānyabāhyasvacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhakānāṃ mahāmate aṣṭānāṃ vijñānakāyānāṃ vimokṣatrayānāsravaduṣṭavikalpenātyantopaghātādvijñānabuddhasya duṣṭacittarudhirotpādanādānantaryakārītyucyate | etāni mahāmate ādhyātmikāni pañcānantaryāṇi yānyadhyāpadya kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā ānantaryakārī bhavatyabhisamitadharmaḥ ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate bāhyāni te ānantaryāṇyupadekṣyāmi, yairupadiṣṭaistvaṃ ca anye ca bodhisattvā anāgate'dhvani saṃmohaṃ na gamiṣyanti | tatra katamāni tāni ? yaduta yāni deśanāpāṭhe'nusaṃvarṇitānyānantaryāṇi, yānyadhyāpadya tisṝṇāṃ vimuktīnāmanyatarānyatarasyāṃ nābhisametā bhavanti anyatra nirmitādhiṣṭhānābhisamayāt | nirmitādhiṣṭhānaśrāvako hi mahāmate bodhisattvādhiṣṭhānena vā tathāgatādhiṣṭhānena vā | yasya kasyacidanyasyānantaryakāriṇaḥ kaukṛtyaṃ tasya kaukṛtyadṛṣṭivinivartanārthaṃ nikṣiptadhurasya kaukṛtyadṛṣṭyabhāvārtham | punarapi protsāhanāṃ kariṣyata iti kṛtvā nirmitādhiṣṭhānābhisamayaḥ pradarśyate mayā | nāstyekāntena mahāmate ānantaryakāriṇo'bhisamayaḥ anyatra svacittadṛśyabhāvanāmātratāvabodhāddehabhogapratiṣṭhāgativikalpātmātmīyagrāhaviviktadarśanātkadā-citkarhicitkalyāṇamitramāsādya anyagatisaṃdhau svavikalpadoṣairvimucyate ||

tatredamucyate -

tṛṣṇā hi mātā ityuktā avidyā ca pitā tathā |

viṣayāvabodhādvijñānaṃ buddha ityupadiśyate || 3 ||

arhanto hyanuśayāḥ pañca saṃghāḥ skandhakadambakaḥ |

nirantarāntaracchedātkarmasyānantaraṃ bhavet || 4 ||



punarapi mahāmatirāha-deśayatu me bhagavān buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ kathaṃ bhagavan buddhānāṃ buddhatā bhavati ? bhagavānāha-dharmapudgalanairātmyāvabodhānmahāmate āvaraṇadvayaparijñānāvabodhācca cyutidvayādhigamātkleśadvayaprahāṇācca mahāmate buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ buddhatā bhavati | eteṣāmeva mahāmate dharmāṇāmadhigamācchrāvakapratyekabuddhasaṃbuddhatā bhavati | ata etasmānmahāmate ekayānaṃ deśayāmi ||

tatredamucyate -

nairātmyasya dvayaṃ kleśāstathaivāvaraṇadvayam |

acintyapariṇāminyāścyuterlābhāttathāgataḥ || 5 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantametadavocat-kiṃ saṃdhāya bhagavatā parṣanmadhyagatena vāgbhāṣitā-ahameva sarvabuddhā ye'tītā jātakopapattivaicitryaṃ ca | ahameva ca tena kālena tena samayena rājā māṃdhātā | gajaḥ śuka indro vyāsaḥ sunetraḥ, ityevamādyāni bhagavatā jātakaśatasahasrāṇyupadiṣṭāni ? bhagavānāha-caturvidhāṃ samatāṃ saṃghāya mahāmate tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhāḥ parṣanmadhyagatā vācaṃ niścārayanti yaduta ahameva tena kālena tena samayena krakucchandaḥ kanakamuniḥ kāśyapaścābhavam | katamāṃ caturvidhasamatāṃ saṃdhāya ? yaduta akṣarasamatāṃ vāksamatāṃ dharmasamatāṃ kāyasamatāṃ ca | imāṃ mahāmate caturvidhāṃ samatāṃ saṃghāya tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhāḥ parṣanmadhyagatā vācaṃ niścārayanti | tatra mahāmate katamā akṣarasamatā ? yaduta yairakṣarairmama nāma buddha iti, tairevākṣaraisteṣāṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ tānyakṣarāṇi mahāmate nirviśiṣṭānyakṣarāṇyakṣarasvabhāvatvena | iyaṃ mahāmate akṣarasamatā | tatra mahāmate katamā vāksamatā tathāgatānāmarhatā samyaksaṃbuddhānām ? yaduta mamāpi catuṣṣaṣṭyākāro brahmasvararutaghoṣavāgvikalpaḥ pravartate, teṣāmapi mahāmate tathāgatānāmarhatāṃ samyaksaṃbuddhānāmevameva catuṣṣaṣṭyākāro brahmasvararutaghoṣo vāgvikalpaḥ pravartate'nūnānadhikā nirviśiṣṭāḥ kalaviṅkabrahmasvararutaghoṣasvabhāvena | tatra katamā kāyasamatā ? yaduta ahaṃ ca te ca tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhā dharmakāyena ca rūpalakṣaṇānuvyañjanakāyena ca samā nirviśiṣṭā anyatra vaineyavaśamupādāya | tatra tatra sattvagativiśeṣeṇa tathāgatā rūpavaicitryamādarśayanti | tatra dharmasamatā mahāmate katamā ? yaduta te ca ahaṃ ca saptatriṃśatāṃ bodhipakṣyāṇāṃ dharmāṇāmadhigantāraḥ | imāṃ mahāmate caturvidhāṃ samatāṃ saṃdhāya tathāgatā arhantaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhāḥ parṣanmadhyagatā vācaṃ niścārayanti ||

tatredamucyate -

kāśyapaḥ krakuchandaśca konākamunirapyaham |

bhāṣāmi jinaputrāṇāṃ samatāyāṃ samudgataḥ || 6 ||



punarapi mahāmatirāha-yadidamuktaṃ bhagavatā-yāṃ ca rātriṃ tathāgato'bhisaṃbuddho yāṃ ca rātriṃ parinirvāsyati, atrāntare ekamapyakṣaraṃ tathāgatena nodāhṛtam, na pravyāhariṣyati, avacanaṃ buddhavacanamiti, tatkimidaṃ saṃdhāyoktaṃ tathāgatenārhatā samyaksaṃbuddhena avacanaṃ buddhavacanamiti ? bhagavānāha-dharmadvayaṃ mahāmate saṃdhāya mayaitaduktam | katamaddharmadvayam ? yaduta pratyātmadharmatāṃ ca saṃdhāya paurāṇasthitidharmatāṃ ca | idaṃ mahāmate dharmadvayaṃ saṃdhāyedamuktaṃ mayā | tatra svapratyātmadharmatānusaṃdhiḥ katamaḥ ? yattaistathāgatairadhigataṃ tanmayāpyadhigatamanūnamanadhikaṃ svapratyātmagatigocaraṃ vāgvikalparahitamakṣaragatidvayavinirmuktam | tatra paurāṇasthitidharmatā katamā ? yaduta paurāṇamidaṃ mahāmate dharmatāvanme hiraṇyarajatamuktākaravanmahāmate dharmadhātusthititā-utpādādvā tathāgatānāmanutpādādvā tathāgatānāṃ sthitaivaiṣāṃ dharmāṇāṃ dharmatā dharmasthititā dharmaniyāmatā | paurāṇanagarapathavanmahāmate | tadyathā mahāmate kaścideva puruṣo'ṭavyāṃ paryaṭan paurāṇaṃ nagaramanupaśyedavikalapathapraveśam | sa taṃ nagaramanupraviśet | tatra praviśya pratiniviśya nagaraṃ nagarakriyāsukhamanubhavet | tatkiṃ manyase mahāmate api nu tena puruṣeṇa sa panthā utpādito yena pathā taṃ nagaramanupraviṣṭo nagaravaicitryaṃ ca (anubhūtam) ? āha-no bhagavan | bhagavānāha-evameva mahāmate yanmayā taiśca tathāgatairadhigatam-sthitaivaiṣā dharmatā dharmasthititā dharmaniyāmatā tathatā bhūtatā satyatā | ata etasmātkāraṇānmahāmate mayedamuktam-yāṃ ca rātriṃ tathāgato'bhisaṃbuddho yāṃ ca rātriṃ parinirvāsyati, atrāntare ekamapyakṣaraṃ tathāgatena nodāhṛtaṃ nodāhariṣyati ||

tatredamucyate -

yasyāṃ ca rātryāṃ dhigamo yasyāṃ ca parinirvṛtaḥ |

etasminnantare nāsti mayā kiṃcitprakāśitam || 7 ||

pratyātmadharmasthititāṃ saṃdhāya kathitaṃ mayā |

taiśca buddhairmayā caiva na ca kiṃcidviśeṣitam || 8 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantamadhyeṣate sma-deśayatu me bhagavānnāstyastitvalakṣaṇaṃ sarvadharmāṇāṃ yathā ahaṃ ca anye ca bodhisattvā mahāsattvā nāstyastitvavarjitāḥ kṣipramanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyeran | bhagavānāha-tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasi kuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavānetadavocat-dvayaniśrito'yaṃ mahāmate loko yaduta astitvaniśritaśca nāstitvaniśritaśca | bhāvābhāvacchandadṛṣṭipatitaśca aniḥśaraṇe niḥśaraṇabuddhiḥ | tatra mahāmate kathamastitvaniśrito lokaḥ ? yaduta vidyamānairhetupratyayairloka utpadyate nāvidyamānaiḥ, vidyamānaṃ cotpadyamānamutpadyate nāvidyamānam | sa caivaṃ bruvan mahāmate bhāvānāmastitvahetupratyayānāṃ lokasya ca hetvastivādī bhavati | tatra mahāmate kathaṃ nāstitvaniśrito bhavati ? yaduta rāgadveṣamohābhyupagamaṃ kṛtvā punarapi rāgadveṣamohabhāvābhāvaṃ vikalpayati | yaśca mahāmate bhāvānāmastitvaṃ nābhyupaiti bhāvalakṣaṇaviviktatvāt, yaśca buddhaśrāvakapratyekabuddhānāṃ rāgadveṣamohānnābhyupaiti bhāvalakṣaṇavinirmuktatvādvidyante neti | katamo'tra mahāmate vaināśiko bhavati ? mahāmatirāha-ya eṣa bhagavan abhyupagamya rāgadveṣamohān na punarabhyupaiti | bhagavānāha-sādhu sādhu mahāmate, sādhu khalu punastvaṃ mahāmate, yastvamevaṃ prabhāṣitaḥ | kevalaṃ mahāmate na rāgadveṣamohabhāvābhāvādvaināśiko bhavati | buddhaśrāvakapratyekabuddhavaināśiko'pi bhavati | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta adhyātmabahirdhānupalabdhitvācca kleśānām | na hi mahāmate rāgadveṣamohā adhyātmabahirdhopalabhyante'śarīratvāt | anabhyupagamatvācca mahāmate rāgadveṣamohābhāvānāṃ buddhaśrāvakapratyekabuddhavaināśiko bhavati | prakṛtivimuktāste buddhaśrāvakapratyekabuddhā bandhyabandhahetvabhāvāt | bandhye sati mahāmate bandho bhavati bandhahetuśca | evamapi bruvan mahāmate vaināśiko bhavati | idaṃ mahāmate nāstyastitvasya lakṣaṇam | idaṃ ca mahāmate saṃdhāyoktaṃ mayā-varaṃ khalu sumerumātrā pudgaladṛṣṭirna tveva nāstyastitvābhimānikasya śūnyatādṛṣṭiḥ | nāstyastitvābhimāniko hi mahāmate vaināśiko bhavati | svasāmānyalakṣaṇadṛṣṭipatitāśayaḥ svacittadṛśyamātrābhāvānna pratijānan, apratijñānādbāhyabhāvānnityadarśanātkṣaṇaparaṃparābhedabhinnāni skandhadhātvāyatanāni saṃtatiprabandhena vinivṛtya vinivartanta iti kalpākṣararahitāni prativikalpayan punarapi vaināśiko bhavati ||

tatredamucyate -

astināstītyubhāvantau yāvaccittasya gocaraḥ |

gocareṇa niruddhena samyakcittaṃ nirudhyate || 9 ||

viṣaye grahaṇābhāvānnirodho na ca nāsti ca |

vidyate tathatāvastu āryāṇāṃ gocaro yathā || 10 ||

abhūtvā yasya utpādo bhūtvā vāpi vinaśyati |

pratyayaiḥ sadasaccāpi na te me śāsane sthitāḥ || 11 ||

na tīrthakairna buddhaiśca na mayā na ca kenacit |

pratyayaiḥ sādhyate'stitvaṃ kathaṃ nāsti bhaviṣyati || 12 ||

kena prasādhitāstitvaṃ pratyayairyasya nāstitā |

utpādavādadurdṛṣṭyā nāstyastīti vikalpyate || 13 ||

yasya notpadyate kiṃcinna ca kiṃcinnirudhyate |

tasyāstināsti nopaiti viviktaṃ paśyato jagat || 14 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantamadhyeṣate-deśayatu me bhagavān, deśayatu me sugataḥ, deśayatu me tathāgato'rhan samyaksaṃbuddho vadatāṃ variṣṭhaḥ siddhāntanayalakṣaṇam, yena siddhāntanayalakṣaṇena suprativibhāgaviddhena ahaṃ ca anye ca bodhisattvā mahāsattvāḥ siddhāntanayalakṣaṇagatiṃgatāḥ kṣipramanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbhotsyante, aparapraṇeyāśca bhaviṣyanti sarvatārkikatīrthakarāṇām | bhagavānāha-tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-dvividhaṃ mahāmate siddhāntanayalakṣaṇaṃ sarvaśrāvakapratyekabuddhabodhisattvānāṃ yaduta siddhāntanayaśca deśanānayaśca | tatra siddhāntanayo mahāmate yaduta pratyātmādhigamaviśeṣalakṣaṇaṃ vāgvikalpākṣararahitamanāsravadhātugatiprāpakaṃ pratyātmagatibhūmigatisvalakṣaṇaṃ sarvatarkatīrthyamāravarjitam | vinihatya ca tāṃstīrthyamārān pratyātmagatirvirājate | etanmahāmate siddhāntanayalakṣaṇam | tatra deśanānayaḥ katamaḥ ? yaduta navāṅgaśāsanavicitropadeśo'nyānanyasadasatpakṣavarjitaḥ upāyakuśalavidhipūrvakaḥ sattveṣu darśanāvatāraḥ | yadyenādhimucyate tattasya deśayet | etanmahāmate deśanānayalakṣaṇam | atra mahāmate tvayā anyaiśca bodhisattvairmahāsattvairyogaḥ karaṇīyaḥ ||

tatredamucyate -

siddhāntaśca nayaścāpi pratyātmaśāsanaṃ ca vai |

ye paśyanti vibhāgajñā na te tarkavaśaṃ gatāḥ || 15 ||

na bhāvo vidyate satyaṃ yathā bālairvikalpyate |

abhāvena tu vai mokṣaṃ kathaṃ necchanti tārkikāḥ || 16 ||

utpādabhaṅgasaṃbaddhaṃ saṃskṛtaṃ pratipaśyataḥ |

dṛṣṭidvayaṃ prapuṣṇanti na paśyanti viparyayāt || 17 ||

ekameva bhavetsatyaṃ nirvāṇaṃ manavarjitam |

kadalīskandhamāyābhaṃ lokaṃ paśyedvikalpitam || 18 ||

rāgo na vidyate dveṣo mohaścāpi na pudgalaḥ |

tṛṣṇāyā hyuditāḥ skandhā vidyante svapnasādṛśāḥ || 19 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantamadhyeṣate sma-deśayatu me bhagavān, deśayatu me sugataḥ abhūtaparikalpasya lakṣaṇam | kathaṃ kiṃ kena kasya bhagavan abhūtaparikalpaḥ pravartamānaḥ pravartate ? abhūtaparikalpo'bhūtaparikalpa iti bhagavannucyate | katamasyaitadbhagavan dharmasyādhivacanaṃ yaduta abhūtaparikalpa iti ? kiṃ vā prativikalpayan abhūtaparikalpo bhavati ? bhagavānāha-sādhu sādhu mahāmate | sādhu khalu punastvaṃ mahāmate, yattvametamarthamadhyeṣitavyaṃ manyase | bahujanahitāya tvaṃ mahāmate pratipanno bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāyai mahato janakāyasyārthāya hitāya sukhāya devānāṃ ca manuṣyāṇāṃ ca | tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-arthavividhavaicitryābhūtaparikalpābhiniveśānmahāmate vikalpaḥ pravartamānaḥ pravartate | nṛṇāṃ grāhyagrāhakābhiniveśābhiniviṣṭānāṃ ca mahāmate svacittadṛśyamātrānavadhāritamatīnāṃ ca sadasaddṛṣṭipakṣapatitānāṃ ca mahāmate tīrthakaradṛṣṭiprativikalpavāsanāpratipuṣṭānāṃ bāhyavicitrārthopalambhābhiniveśāccittacaittakalāpo vikalpasaṃśabditaḥ pravartamānaḥ pravartate ātmātmīyābhiniveśāt | mahāmatirāhatadyadi bhagavannarthavividhavaicitryābhūtaparikalpābhiniveśānnṛṇāṃ vikalpaḥ pravartamānaḥ pravartate sadasaddṛṣṭipakṣapatitānāṃ grāhyagrāhakatīrthakaradṛṣṭiprativikalpapuṣṭānāṃ bāhyavicitrārthopalambhābhiniveśāccittacaittakalāpo vikalpasaṃśabditaḥ svacittadṛśyamātrānavabodhātsantāsantavicitrabhāvābhiniveśātpravartamānaḥ pravartate | tadyathaiva bhagavan bāhyārthavicitralakṣaṇaḥ sadasatpakṣapatitalakṣaṇo bhāvābhāvavivikto dṛṣṭilakṣaṇavinivṛttaḥ, tathaiva bhagavan paramārthapramāṇendriyāvayavadṛṣṭāntahetulakṣaṇavinivṛttaḥ | tatkathaṃ bhagavannekatra vicitravikalpo'bhūtārthavicitrabhāvābhiniveśaṃ prativikalpayan pravartate, na punaḥ paramārthalakṣaṇābhiniveśaṃ prativikalpayan pravartate vikalpaḥ ? nanu bhagavan viṣamahetuvādastava prasajyate ekatra pravartate ekatra neti bruvataḥ, sadasatpakṣāśrayābhiniveśaśca abhūtaprativikalpadṛṣṭipravṛttiṃ bruvato vividhamāyāṅgapuruṣavaicitryānniṣpannaikarūpavatprativikalpayan vikalpena lakṣaṇavaicitryabhāvābhāvaṃ ca vikalpasya vinivṛtterlokāyatikadṛṣṭyāśayapatitaśca | bhagavānāha-na hi mahāmate vikalpaḥ pravartate nivartate vā | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta sadasato vikalpasyāpravṛttitvādbāhyadṛśyabhāvābhāvātsvacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhānmahāmate vikalpo na pravartate na nivartate | anyatra mahāmate bālānāṃ svacittavaicitryavikalpakalpitatvāt | kriyāpravṛttipūrvako vikalpo vaicitryabhāvalakṣaṇābhiniveśātpravartata iti vadāmi | kathaṃ khalu mahāmate bālapṛthagjanāḥ svavikalpacittamātrāvabodhādātmātmīyābhivinivṛttadṛṣṭayaḥ kāryakāraṇapratyayavinivṛttadoṣāḥ svacittamātrāvabodhātparāvṛttacittāśrayāḥ sarvāsu bhūmiṣu kṛtavidyāstathāgatasvapratyātmagatigocaraṃ pañcadharmasvabhāvavastudṛṣṭivikalpavinivṛttiṃ pratilabheran ? ata etasmātkāraṇānmahāmate idamucyate mayā-vikalpo'bhūtārthavaicitryādabhiniveśātpravartate, svavikalpavaicitryārthayathābhūtārthaparijñānādvimucyata iti ||

tatredamucyate -

kāraṇaiḥ pratyayaiścāpi yeṣāṃ lokaḥ pravartate |

cātuṣkoṭikayā yuktā na te mannayakovidāḥ || 20 ||

asanna jāyate loko na sanna sadasan kvacit |

pratyayaiḥ kāraṇaiścāpi yathā bālairvikalpyate || 21 ||

na sannāsanna sadasadyadā lokaṃ prapaśyati |

tadā vyāvartate cittaṃ nairātmyaṃ cādhigacchati || 22 ||

anutpannāḥ sarvabhāvā yasmātpratyayasaṃbhavāḥ |

kāryaṃ hi pratyayāḥ sarve na kāryājjāyate bhavaḥ || 23 ||

kāryānna jāyate kāryaṃ dvitvaṃ kārye prasajyate |

na ca dvitvaprasaṅgena kāryādbhāvopalabhyate || 24 ||

ālambālambyavigataṃ yadā paśyati saṃskṛtam |

niścitaṃ cittamātraṃ hi cittamātraṃ vadāmyaham || 25 ||

mātrā svabhāvasaṃsthānaṃ pratyayairbhāvavarjitam |

niṣṭhābhāvaḥ paraṃ brahma etāṃ mātrāṃ vadāmyaham || 26 ||

prajñaptisatyato hyātmā dravyasanna hi vidyate |

skandhānāṃ skandhatā tadvatprajñaptyā na tu dravyataḥ || 27 ||

caturvidhā vai samatā lakṣaṇaṃ hetubhāvajam |

nairātmyasamatā caiva caturthaṃ yogayoginām || 28 ||

vyāvṛttiḥ sarvadṛṣṭīnāṃ kalpyakalpanavarjitā |

anupalambho hyajātiśca cittamātraṃ vadāmyaham || 29 ||

na bhāvaṃ nāpi cābhāvaṃ bhāvābhāvavivarjitam |

tathatā cittavinirmuktaṃ cittamātraṃ vadāmyaham || 30 ||

tathatāśūnyatākoṭi nirvāṇaṃ dharmadhātukam |

kāyaṃ manomayaṃ citraṃ cittamātraṃ vadāmyaham || 31 ||

vikalpavāsanābaddhaṃ vicitraṃ cittasaṃbhavam |

bahirākhyāyate nṛṇāṃ cittamātraṃ hi laukikam || 32 ||

dṛśyaṃ na vidyate bāhyaṃ cittaṃ citraṃ hi dṛśyate |

dehabhogapratiṣṭhānaṃ cittamātraṃ vadāmyaham || 33 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavantametadavocat-yatpunaretaduktaṃ bhagavatā-yathārutārthagrahaṇaṃ na kartavyaṃ bodhisattvena mahāsattvena anyaiśceti | kathaṃ na bhagavan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo yathārutārthagrāhī na bhavati ? kiṃ ca rutam ? ko'rthaḥ ? bhagavānāha-tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu na ca manasi kuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-tatra rutaṃ mahāmate katamat ? yaduta vāgakṣarasaṃyogavikalpo dantahanutālujihvauṣṭhapuṭaviniḥsṛtaparasparajalpo vikalpavāsanāhetuko rutamityucyate | tatra arthaḥ punarmahāmate katamaḥ ? yaduta śrutacintābhāvanāmayyā prajñayā eko rahogato nirvāṇapuragāmimārgaḥ svabuddhyā vāsanāśrayaparāvṛttipūrvakaḥ svapratyātmagatigocarabhūmisthānāntaraviśeṣārthalakṣaṇagatiṃ pravicārayan bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'rthakuśalo bhavati ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate rūtārthakuśalo bodhisattvo mahāsattvo rutamarthādanyannānyaditi samanupaśyati, arthaṃ ca rutāt | yadi ca punarmahāmate artho rutādanyaḥ syāt, arutārthābhivyaktihetukaḥ syāt | sa cārtho rutenānupraviśyate pradīpeneva dhanam | tadyathā mahāmate kaścideva puruṣaḥ pradīpaṃ gṛhītvā dhanamavalokayet-idaṃ me dhanamevaṃvidhamasmin pradeśe iti | evameva mahāmate vāgvikalparutapradīpena bodhisattvā mahāsattvā vāgvikalparahitāḥ svapratyātmāryagatimanupraviśanti ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate aniruddhā anutpannāḥ prakṛtiparinirvṛtāstriyānamekayānaṃ ca pañcacittasvabhāvādiṣu yathārutārthābhiniveśaṃ pratītya abhiniveśataḥ samāropāpavādadṛṣṭipatito bhavati | anyathā vyavasthitānanyathā prativikalpayan māyāvaicitryadarśanavikalpanavat | tadyathā mahāmate anyathā hi māyāvaicitryaṃ draṣṭavyamanyathā pratikalpyate bālairna tvāryaiḥ ||

tatredamucyate -

yathārutaṃ vikalpitvā samāropenti dharmatām |

te ca vai tatsamāropātpatanti narakālaye || 34 ||

na hyātmā vidyate skandhaiḥ skandhāścaiva hi nātmani |

na te yathā vikalpyante na ca te vai na santi ca || 35 ||

astitvaṃ sarvabhāvānāṃ yathā bālairvikalpyate |

yadi te bhavedyathādṛṣṭāḥ sarve syustattvadarśinaḥ || 36 ||

abhāvātsarvadharmāṇāṃ saṃkleśo nāsti śuddhitaḥ |

na te tathā yathā dṛṣṭā na ca te vai na santi ca || 37 ||

punaraparaṃ mahāmate jñānavijñānalakṣaṇaṃ te upadekṣyāmi, yena jñānavijñānalakṣaṇena suprativibhāgaviddhena tvaṃ ca anye ca bodhisattvā mahāsattvā jñānavijñānalakṣaṇagatiṃgatāḥ kṣipramanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbhotsyante | tatra mahāmate triprakāraṃ jñānaṃ laukikaṃ lokottaraṃ ca lokottaratamaṃ ca | tatrotpannapradhvaṃsi vijñānam | anutpannapradhvaṃsi jñānam | punaraparaṃ mahāmate nimittānimittapatitaṃ vijñānaṃ nāstyastivaicitryalakṣaṇahetukaṃ ca | nimittānimittavyatikrāntalakṣaṇaṃ jñānam | punaraparaṃ mahāmate upacayalakṣaṇaṃ vijñānam | apacayalakṣaṇaṃ jñānam | tatra trividhaṃ jñānaṃ svasāmānyalakṣaṇāvadhārakaṃ ca utpādavyayāvadhārakaṃ ca anutpādānirodhāvadhārakaṃ ca | tatra laukikaṃ jñānaṃ sadasatpakṣābhiniviṣṭānāṃ sarvatīrthakarabālapṛthagjanānāṃ ca | tatra lokottaraṃ jñānaṃ sarvaśrāvakapratyekabuddhānāṃ ca svasāmānyalakṣaṇapatitāśayābhiniviṣṭānām | tatra lokottaratamaṃ jñānaṃ buddhabodhisattvānāṃ nirābhāsadharmapravicayādanirodhānutpādadarśanātsadasatpakṣavigataṃ tathāgatabhūminairātmyādhigamātpravartate ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate asaṅgalakṣaṇaṃ jñānam, viṣayavaicitryasaṅgalakṣaṇaṃ ca vijñānam | punaraparaṃ mahāmate trisaṅgakṣayotpādayogalakṣaṇaṃ vijñānamasaṅgasvabhāvalakṣaṇaṃ jñānam | punaraparaṃ mahāmate aprāptilakṣaṇaṃ jñānaṃ svapratyātmāryajñānagatigocaramapraveśānirgamatvādudakacandravajjale ||

tatredamucyate -

cittena cīyate karma jñānena ca vidhīyate |

prajñayā ca nirābhāsaṃ prabhāvaṃ cādhigacchati || 38 ||

cittaṃ viṣayasaṃbaddhaṃ jñānaṃ tarke pravartate |

nirābhāse viśeṣe ca prajñā vai saṃpravartate || 39 ||

cittaṃ manaśca vijñānaṃ saṃjñāvaikalpavarjitāḥ |

vikalpadharmatāṃ prāptāḥ śrāvakā na jinātmajāḥ || 40 ||

śānte kṣāntiviśeṣe vai jñānaṃ tāthāgataṃ śubham |

saṃjāyate viśeṣārthaṃ samudācāravarjitam || 41 ||

prajñā hi trividhā mahyaṃ āryā yena prabhāvitā |

lakṣaṇaṃ kalpyate yena yaśca bhāvān vṛṇoti ca || 42 ||

yānadvayavisaṃyuktā prajñā hyabhāvavarjitā |

sadbhāvābhiniveśena śrāvakāṇāṃ pravartate |

cittamātrāvatāreṇa prajñā tāthāgatī matā || 43 ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate navavidhā pariṇāmavādināṃ tīrthakarāṇāṃ pariṇāmadṛṣṭirbhavati yaduta saṃsthānapariṇāmo lakṣaṇapariṇāmo hetupariṇāmo yuktipariṇāmo dṛṣṭipariṇāma utpādapariṇāmo bhāvapariṇāmaḥ pratyayābhivyaktipariṇāmaḥ kriyābhivyaktipariṇāmaḥ | etā mahāmate nava pariṇāmadṛṣṭayaḥ, yāḥ saṃdhāya sarvatīrthakarāḥ sadasatpakṣotpādapariṇāmavādino bhavanti||



tatra mahāmate saṃsthānapariṇāmo yaduta saṃsthānasyānyathābhāvadarśanāt, suvarṇasya bhūṣaṇavikṛtivaicitryadarśanavat | tadyathā mahāmate suvarṇaṃ kaṭakarucakasvastyādipariṇāmena pariṇāmyamānaṃ vicitrasaṃsthānapariṇataṃ dṛśyate | na suvarṇaṃ bhāvataḥ pariṇamati | evameva mahāmate sarvabhāvānāṃ pariṇāmaḥ kaiścittīrthakarairvikalpyate anyaiśca kāraṇataḥ | na ca te tathā, na cānyathā parikalpamupādāya | evaṃ sarvapariṇāmabhedo draṣṭavyo dadhikṣīramadyaphalapākavat | tadyathā mahāmate evaṃ dadhikṣīramadyaphalādīnāmekaikasya pariṇāmo vikalpasya pariṇāmo vikalpyate tīrthakaraiḥ, na cātra kaścitpariṇamati sadasatoḥ svacittadṛśyabāhyabhāvābhāvāt, evameva mahāmate bālapṛthagjanānāṃ svacittavikalpabhāvanāpravṛttirdraṣṭavyā | nātra mahāmate kaściddharmaḥ pravartate vā nivartate vā, māyāsvapnapravṛttarūpadarśanavat | tadyathā mahāmate svapne pravṛttinivṛttī upalabhyete vandhyāputramṛtajanmavat ||

tatredamucyate -

pariṇāmaṃ kālasaṃsthānaṃ bhūtabhāvendriyeṣu ca |

antarābhavasaṃgrāhyo ye kalpenti na te budhāḥ || 44 ||

na pratītyasamutpannaṃ lokaṃ kalpenti vai jināḥ |

kiṃ tu pratyaya evedaṃ lokaṃ gandharvasaṃnibham || 45 ||

atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantaṃ sarvadharmasaṃdhyarthaparimocanārthamadhyeṣate sma-deśayatu me bhagavān, deśayatu me tathāgato'rhan samyaksaṃbuddhaḥ sarvadharmāṇāṃ saṃdhyasaṃdhilakṣaṇam, yena saṃdhyasaṃdhilakṣaṇena suprativibhāgābhividdhena ahaṃ ca anye ca bodhisattvā mahāsattvāḥ sarvasaṃdhyasaṃdhyupāyakuśalā yathārutārthābhiniveśasaṃdhau na prapateyuḥ | sarvadharmāṇāṃ saṃdhyasaṃdhikauśalena vāgakṣaraprativikalpanaṃ ca vinihatya buddhyā sarvabuddhakṣetraparṣaccāriṇo balavaśitābhijñādhāraṇīmudrāsumudritā vicitrairnirmāṇakiraṇairdaśaniṣṭhāpāde sunibaddhabuddhayo'nābhogacandrasūryamaṇimahābhūtacaryāgatisamāḥ sarvabhūmiṣu svavikalpalakṣaṇavinivṛttadṛṣṭayaḥ svapnamāyādisarvadharmānudarśanādbuddhabhūmyāśrayānupraviṣṭāḥ sarvasattvadhātuṃ yathārhattvadharmadeśanayā ākṛṣya svapnamāyādisarvadharmasadasatpakṣavarjite bhaṅgotpādavikalparahite rutānyathāparyāyavṛttyāśrayatayā pratiṣṭhāpayeyuḥ | bhagavānāha-sādhu sādhu mahāmate | tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-aparimito mahāmate sarvadharmāṇāṃ yathārutārthābhiniveśasaṃdhiḥ, lakṣaṇābhiniveśasaṃdhiḥ, pratyayābhiniveśasaṃdhiḥ, bhāvābhāvābhiniveśasaṃdhiḥ, utpādānutpādavikalpābhiniveśasaṃdhiḥ, nirodhānirodhābhiniveśaprativikalpasaṃdhiḥ, yānāyānābhiniveśaprativikalpasaṃdhiḥ, saṃskṛtāsaṃskṛtaprativikalpābhiniveśasaṃdhiḥ, bhūmyabhūmisvalakṣaṇavikalpābhiniveśasaṃdhiḥ, svavikalpābhisamayavikalpasaṃdhiḥ, sadasatpakṣatīrthyāśrayaprativikalpasaṃdhiḥ, triyānaikayānābhisamayavikalpasaṃdhiḥ | ete cānye ca mahāmate bālapṛthagjanānāṃ svavikalpasaṃdhayaḥ, yāṃ saṃdhiṃ saṃdhāya bālapṛthagjanāḥ prativikalpayamānāḥ kauśeyakrimaya iva svavikalpadṛṣṭisaṃdhisūtreṇa ātmānaṃ parāṃśca svavikalpadṛṣṭisaṃdhisūtrarocanatayā pariveṣṭayanti bhāvābhāvasaṃdhilakṣaṇābhiniveśābhiniviṣṭāḥ | na cātra mahāmate kaścitsaṃdhirna saṃdhilakṣaṇaṃ viviktadarśanātsarvadharmāṇām | vikalpasyāpravṛttatvānmahāmate bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ sarvadharmeṣu viviktadarśī viharati ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate bāhyabhāvābhāvasvacittadṛśyalakṣaṇāvabodhānnirābhāsacittamātrānusāritvātsadasatoḥ sarvabhāvavikalpasaṃdhiviviktadarśanānna saṃdhirnāsaṃdhilakṣaṇaṃ sarvadharmāṇām | nātra kaścinmahāmate badhyate na ca mucyate, anyatra vitathapatitayā buddhyā bandhamokṣau prajñāyete | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta sadasatoḥ saṃdhyanupalabdhitvātsarvadharmāṇām ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate trayaḥ saṃdhayo bālānāṃ pṛthagjanānāṃ yaduta rāgo dveṣo mohaśca | tṛṣṇā ca paunarbhavikī nandīrāgasahagatā yāṃ saṃdhāya gatisaṃdhayaḥ prajāyante | tatra saṃdhisaṃdhānaṃ sattvānāṃ gatipañcakaṃ saṃdhervyucchedānmahāmate nasaṃdhirnāsaṃdhilakṣaṇaṃ prajñāyate | punaraparaṃ mahāmate trisaṃgatipratyayakriyāyogābhiniveśāya saṃdhiḥ | vijñānānāṃ nairantaryātpravṛttiyogenābhiniveśato bhavasaṃdhirbhavati | trisaṃgatipratyayavyāvṛttervijñānānāṃ vimokṣatrayānudarśanātsarvasaṃdhayo na pravartante ||

tatredamucyate -

abhūtaparikalpo hi saṃdhilakṣaṇamucyate |

tasya bhūtaparijñānātsaṃdhijālaṃ prasīdati || 46 ||

bhāvajñānarutagrāhātkauśeyakrimayo yathā |

badhyante svavikalpena bālāḥ saṃdhyavipaścitaḥ || 47 ||

punarapi mahāmatirāha-yatpunaretaduktaṃ bhagavatā-yena yena vikalpena ye ye bhāvā vikalpyante, na hi sa teṣāṃ svabhāvo bhavati | parikalpita evāsau | tadyadi bhagavan parikalpita evāsau na bhāvasvabhāvalakṣaṇāvadhāraṇam, nanu te bhagavan evaṃ bruvataḥ saṃkleśavyavadānābhāvaḥ prasajyate parikalpitasvabhāvabhāvitatvātsarvadharmāṇām | bhagavānāha-evametanmahāmate yathā vadasi | na mahāmate yathā bālapṛthagjanairbhāvasvabhāvo vikalpyate, tathā bhavati | parikalpita evāsau mahāmate, na bhāvasvabhāvalakṣaṇāvadhāraṇam | kiṃ tu yathā mahāmate āryairbhāvasvabhāvo'vadhāryate āryeṇa jñānena āryeṇa darśanena āryeṇa prajñāacakṣuṣā tathā bhāvasvabhāvo bhavati ||



mahāmatirāha-tadyadi bhagavan yathā āryairāryeṇa jñānena āryeṇa darśanena āryeṇa prajñācakṣuṣā na divyamāṃsacakṣuṣā bhāvasvabhāvo'vadhāryate tathā bhavati, na tu yathā bālapṛthagjanairvikalpyate bhāvasvabhāvaḥ, tatkathaṃ bhagavan bālapṛthagjanānāṃ vikalpavyāvṛttirbhaviṣyati āryabhāvavastvanavabodhāt ? na ca te bhagavan viparyastāḥ nāviparyastāḥ | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta āryavastusvabhāvānavabodhātsadasatorlakṣaṇasya vṛttidarśanāt | āryairapi bhagavan yathā vastu vikalpyate, na tathā bhavati svalakṣaṇaviṣayāgocaratvāt | sa teṣāmapi bhagavan bhāvasvabhāvalakṣaṇaḥ parikalpitasvabhāva eva khyāyate hetvahetuvyapadeśāt | yaduta bhāvasvalakṣaṇadṛṣṭipatitatvādanyeṣāṃ gocaro bhavati na yathā teṣām | ityevamanavasthā prasajyate bhagavan bhāvasvabhāvalakṣaṇānavabodhāt | na ca bhagavan parikalpitasvabhāvahetuko bhāvasvabhāvalakṣaṇaḥ | sa ca kathaṃ parikalpena prativikalpyamāno na tathā bhaviṣyati yathā parikalpyate ? anyadeva bhagavan prativikalpasya lakṣaṇam, anyadeva svabhāvalakṣaṇam | visadṛśahetuke ca bhagavan vikalpasvabhāvalakṣaṇe | te ca parasparaṃ parikalpyamāne bālapṛthagjanairna tathā bhaviṣyataḥ | kiṃ tu sattvānāṃ vikalpavyāvṛttyarthamidamucyate | yathā prativikalpena vikalpyante tathā na vidyante ||



kimidaṃ bhagavan sattvānāṃ tvayā nāstyastitvadṛṣṭiṃ vinivārya vastusvabhāvābhiniveśena āryajñānagocaraviṣayābhiniveśānnāstitvadṛṣṭiḥ punarnipātyate, viviktadharmopadeśābhāvaśca kriyate āryajñānasvabhāvavastudeśanayā ? bhagavānāha-na mayā mahāmate viviktadharmopadeśābhāvaḥ kriyate, na cāstitvadṛṣṭirnipātyate āryavastusvabhāvanirdeśena | kiṃ tu utrāsapadavivarjanārthaṃ sattvānāṃ mahāmate mayā anādikālabhāvasvabhāvalakṣaṇābhiniviṣṭānāmāryajñānavastusvabhāvābhiniveśalakṣaṇadṛṣṭyā viviktadharmopadeśaḥ kriyate | na mayā mahāmate bhāvasvabhāvopadeśaḥ kriyate | kiṃ tu mahāmate svayamevādhigatayāthātathyaviviktadharmavihāriṇo bhaviṣyanti | bhrānternirnimittadarśanāt svacittadṛśyamātramavatīrya bāhyadṛśyabhāvābhāvavinivṛttadṛṣṭayo vimokṣatrayādhigatayāthātathyaviviktadharmavihāriṇo bhaviṣyanti | bhrānternirnimittadṛṣṭayo vimokṣatrayādhigatayāthātathyamudrāsumudritā bhāvasvabhāveṣu pratyātmādhigatayā buddhyā pratyakṣavihāriṇo bhaviṣyanti nāstyastitvavastudṛṣṭivivarjitāḥ ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate anutpannāḥ sarvadharmā iti bodhisattvena mahāsattvena pratijñā na karaṇīyā | tatkasya hetoḥ ? pratijñāyāḥ sarvasvabhāvabhāvitvāttaddhetupravṛttilakṣaṇatvācca | anutpannān sarvadharmān pratijñāya pratibruvan mahāmate bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ pratijñāyā hīyate | yā pratijñā-anutpannāḥ sarvadharmā iti, sāsya pratijñā hīyate, pratijñāyāstadapekṣotpattitvāt | atha sāpi pratijñā anutpannā sarvadharmābhyantarādanutpannalakṣaṇānutpattitvātpratijñāyāḥ, anutpannāḥ sarvadharmā iti sa vādaḥ prahīyate | pratijñāvayavakāraṇena sadasato'nutpattiḥ pratijñāyāḥ | sā hi mahāmate pratijñā sarvabhāvābhyantarā sadasatoranutpattilakṣaṇāt | yadi mahāmate tayā pratijñayā anutpannayā anutpannāḥ sarvabhāvā iti pratijñāṃ kurvanti, evamapi pratijñāhāniḥ prasajyate | pratijñāyāḥ sadasatoranutpattibhāvalakṣaṇatvātpratijñā na karaṇīyā | anutpannasvabhāvalakṣaṇā hi mahāmate teṣāṃ pratijñā bhavati | ataste mahāmate pratijñā na karaṇīyā | bahudoṣaduṣṭatvādavayavānāṃ parasparahetuvilakṣaṇakṛtakatvācca avayavānāṃ pratijñā na karaṇīyā-yaduta anutpannāḥ sarvadharmāḥ | evaṃ śūnyā asvabhāvāḥ sarvadharmā iti mahāmate bodhisattvena mahāsattvena pratijñā na karaṇīyā | kiṃ tu mahāmate bodhisattvena mahāsattvena māyāsvapnavatsarvabhāvopadeśaḥ karaṇīyo dṛśyādṛśyalakṣaṇatvāt | dṛṣṭibuddhimohanatvācca sarvadharmāṇāṃ māyāsvapnavadbhāvopadeśaḥ karaṇīyo'nyatra bālānāmutrāsapadavivarjanatayā | bālāḥ pṛthagjanā hi mahāmate | nāstyastitvadṛṣṭipatitānāṃ teṣāmutrāsaḥ syānmā iti | utrāsyamānā mahāmate dūrībhavanti mahāyānāt ||

tatredamucyate -

na svabhāvo na vijñaptirna vastu na ca ālayaḥ |

bālairvikalpitā hyete śavabhūtaiḥ kutārkikaiḥ || 48 ||

anutpannāḥ sarvadharmāḥ sarvatīrthyaprasiddhaye |

na hi kasyacidutpannā bhāvā vai pratyayānvitāḥ || 49 ||

anutpannāḥ sarvadharmāḥ prajñayā na vikalpayet |

taddhetumattvāttatsiddherbuddhisteṣāṃ prahīyate || 50 ||

keśoṇḍukaṃ yathā mithyā gṛhyate taimirairjanaiḥ |

tathā bhāvavikalpo'yaṃ mithyā bālairvikalpyate || 51 ||

prajñaptimātrātribhavaṃ nāsti vastusvabhāvataḥ |

prajñaptivastubhāvena kalpayiṣyanti tārkikāḥ || 52 ||

nimittaṃ vastu vijñaptiṃ manovispanditaṃ ca tat |

atikramya tu putrā me nirvikalpāścaranti te || 53 ||

ajale ca jalagrāho mṛgatṛṣṇā yathā nabhe |

dṛśyaṃ tathā hi bālānāmāryāṇāṃ ca viśeṣataḥ || 54 ||

āryāṇāṃ darśanaṃ śuddhaṃ vimokṣatrayasaṃbhavam |

utpādabhaṅganirmuktaṃ nirābhāsapracāriṇām || 55 ||

nirābhāso hi bhāvānāmabhāve nāsti yoginām |

bhāvābhāvasamatvena āryāṇāṃ jāyate phalam |

kathaṃ hyabhāvo bhāvānāṃ kurute samatāṃ katham || 56 ||

yadā cittaṃ na jānāti bāhyamādhyātmikaṃ calam |

tadā tu kurute nāśaṃ samatācittadarśanam || 57 ||



punarapi mahāmatirāha-yatpunaridamuktaṃ bhagavatā-yadā tvālambyamarthaṃ nopalabhate jñānaṃ tadā vijñaptimātravyavasthānaṃ bhavati | vijñaptergrāhyābhāvādgrāhakasyāpyagrahaṇaṃ bhavati | tadagrahaṇānna pravartate jñānaṃ vikalpasaṃśabditam | tatkiṃ punarbhagavan bhāvānāṃ svasāmānyalakṣaṇānanyavaicitryānavabodhānnopalabhate jñānam ? atha svasāmānyalakṣaṇavaicitryabhāvasvabhāvābhibhavānnopalabhate jñānam | atha kuḍyakaṭavapraprākārabhūjalapavanāgnivyavahitātidūrasāmīpyānnopalabhate jñānaṃ jñeyam | atha bālāndhavṛddhayogādindriyāṇāṃ jñeyārthaṃ nopalabhate jñānam | tadyadi bhagavan svasāmānyalakṣaṇānanyavaicitryānavabodhānnopalabhate jñānam, na tarhi bhagavan jñānaṃ vaktavyam | ajñānametadbhagavan yadvidyamānamarthaṃ nopalabhate | atha svasāmānyalakṣaṇavaicitryabhāvasvabhāvābhibhavānnopalabhate jñānam, tadajñānameva bhagavan na jñānam | jñeye sati bhagavan jñānaṃ pravartate nābhāvāt | tadyogācca jñeyasya jñānamityucyate | atha kuḍyakaṭavapraprākārabhūjalapavanāgnivyavahitātidūrasāmīpyānnopalabhate bālavṛddhāndhayogavadvaikalyādindriyāṇāṃ jñānaṃ nopalabhate | tadyadevaṃ nopalabhate, na tadbhagavan jñānam | ajñānameva tadvidyamānamarthaṃ buddhivaikalyāt ||



bhagavānāha-na hi tanmahāmate evamajñānaṃ bhavati | jñānameva tanmahāmate, nājñānam | na caitatsaṃdhāyoktaṃ mayā-yadā tvālambyamarthaṃ nopalabhate jñānaṃ tadā vijñaptimātravyavasthānaṃ bhavatīti | kiṃ tu svacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhātsadasatorbāhyabhāvābhāvājjñānamapyarthaṃ nopalabhate | tadanupalambhājjñānajñeyayorapravṛttiḥ | vimokṣatrayānugamājjñānasyāpyanupalabdhiḥ | na ca tārkikā anādikālabhāvābhāvaprapañcavāsitamataya evaṃ prajānanti | te cāprajānanto bāhyadravyasaṃsthānalakṣaṇabhāvābhāvaṃ kṛtvā vikalpasyāpravṛttiṃ cittamātratāṃ nirdekṣyanti | ātmātmīyalakṣaṇagrāhābhiniveśābhiniviṣṭāḥ svacittadṛśyamātrānavabodhājjñānaṃ jñeyaṃ prativikalpayanti | te ca jñānajñeyaprativikalpanayā bāhyabhāvābhāvapravicayānupalabdherucchedadṛṣṭimāśrayante ||

tatredamucyate -

vidyamānaṃ hi ālambyaṃ yadi jñānaṃ na paśyati |

ajñānaṃ taddhi na jñānaṃ tārkikāṇāmayaṃ nayaḥ || 58 ||

ananyalakṣaṇābhāvājjñānaṃ yadi na paśyati |

vyavadhānadūrasāmīpyaṃ mithyājñānaṃ taducyate || 59 ||

bālavṛddhāndhayogācca jñānaṃ yadi na jāyate |

vidyamānaṃ hi tajjñeyaṃ mithyājñānaṃ taducyate || 60 ||

punaraparaṃ mahāmate bālapṛthagjanā anādikālaprapañcadauṣṭhulyasvaprativikalpanā nāṭake nṛtyantaḥ svasiddhāntanayadeśanāyāmakuśalāḥ svacittadṛśyabāhyabhāvalakṣaṇābhiniviṣṭā upāyadeśanāpāṭhamabhiniviśante, na svasiddhāntanayaṃ cātuṣkoṭikanayaviśuddhaṃ prativibhāvayanti | mahāmatirāha-evametadbhagavan yathā vadasi | deśayatu me bhagavān deśanāsiddhāntanayalakṣaṇaṃ yena ahaṃ ca anye ca bodhisattvā mahāsattvā anāgate'dhvani deśanāsiddhāntanayakuśalā na vipralabhyeran kutārkikaistīrthakaraśrāvakapratyekabuddhayānikaiḥ | bhagavānāha-yena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-dviprakāro mahāmate atītānāgatapratyutpannānāṃ tathāgatānāmarhatāṃ samyaksaṃbuddhānāṃ dharmanayo yaduta deśanānayaśca siddhāntapratyavasthānanayaśca | tatra deśanāpāṭhanayo mahāmate yaduta vicitrasaṃbhārasūtropadeśaḥ | yathācittādhimuktikatayā deśayanti sattvebhyaḥ | tatra siddhāntanayaḥ punarmahāmate katamaḥ ? yena yoginaḥ svacittadṛśyavikalpavyāvṛttiṃ kurvanti yaduta ekatvānyatvobhayatvānubhayatvapakṣāpatanatācittamanomanovijñānātītaṃ svapratyātmāryagatigocaraṃ hetuyuktidṛṣṭilakṣaṇavinivṛttamanālīḍhaṃ sarvakutārkikaistīrthakaraśrāvakapratyekabuddhayānikairnāstyastitvāntadvayapatitaiḥ, tamahaṃ siddhānta iti vadāmi | etanmahāmate siddhāntanayadeśanālakṣaṇaṃ yatra tvayā ca anyaiśca bodhisattvairmahāsattvairyogaḥ karaṇīyaḥ ||

tatredamucyate -

nayo hi dvividho mahyaṃ siddhānto deśanā ca vai |

deśemi yā bālānāṃ siddhāntaṃ yogināmaham || 61 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantametadavocat-uktametadbhagavaṃstathāgatenārhatā samyaksaṃbuddhena ekasmin kāle ekasmin samaye yathā lokāyatiko vicitramantrapratibhāno na sevitavyo na bhaktavyo na paryupāsitavyaḥ, yaṃ ca sevamānasya lokāmiṣasaṃgraho bhavati na dharmasaṃgraha iti | kiṃ kāraṇaṃ punarbhagavatedamuktaṃ lokāyatiko vicitramantrapratibhānaḥ, yaṃ ca sevamānasya lokāmiṣasaṃgraho bhavati na dharmasaṃgrahaḥ ? bhagavānāha-vicitramantrapratibhāno mahāmate lokāyatiko vicitrairhetupadavyañjanairbālān vyāmohayati na yuktiyuktaṃ nārthopasaṃhitam | atha yāvadeva yatkiṃcidbālapralāpaṃ deśayati | etena mahāmate kāraṇena lokāyatiko vicitramantrapratibhāna ityucyate | akṣaravaicitryasauṣṭhavena bālānākarṣati, na tattvanayapraveśena praviśati | svayaṃ sarvadharmānavabodhādantadvayapatitayā dṛṣṭyā bālān vyāmohayati, svātmānaṃ ca kṣiṇoti | gatisaṃdhyapramuktatvātsvacittadṛśyamātrānavabodhādbāhyabhāvasvabhāvābhiniveśādvikalpasya vyāvṛttirna bhavati | ata etasmātkāraṇānmahāmate lokāyatiko vicitramantrapratibhāno'parimukta eva jātijarāvyādhimaraṇaśokaparidevaduḥkhadaurmanasyopāyāsādibhyo vicitraiḥ padavyañjanairhetudṛṣṭāntopasaṃhārairbālān vyāmohayati ||



indro'pi mahāmate anekaśāstravidagdhabuddhiḥ svaśabdaśāstrapraṇetā | tacchiṣyeṇa nāgaveśarūpadhāriṇā svarge indasabhāyāṃ pratijñāṃ kṛtvā tava vā sahasrāro ratho bhajyatāṃ mama vā ekaikanāgabhāvasya phaṇācchedo bhavatviti | sahadharmeṇa ca nāgaveśadhāriṇā lokāyatikaśiṣyeṇa devānāmindraṃ vijitya sahasrāraṃ rathaṃ bhaṅktvā punarapīmaṃ lokamāgataḥ | evamidaṃ mahāmate lokāyatikavicitrahetudṛṣṭāntopanibaddhaṃ yena tiryañco'pyadhītya devāsuralokaṃ vicitrapadavyañjanairvyāmohayati | āyavyayadṛṣṭābhiniveśenābhiniveśayati kimaṅga punarmānuṣān | ata etasmātkāraṇānmahāmate lokāyatikaḥ parivarjitavyo duḥkhajanmahetuvāhakatvāt, na sevitavyo na bhajitavyo na paryupāsitavyaḥ | śarīrabuddhiviṣayopalabdhimātraṃ hi mahāmate lokāyatikairdeśyate vicitraiḥ padavyañjanaiḥ | śatasahasraṃ mahāmate lokāyatam | kiṃ tu paścime loke paścimāyāṃ pañcāśatyāṃ bhinnasaṃhitaṃ bhaviṣyati kutarkahetudṛṣṭipraṇītatvāt | bhinnasaṃhitaṃ bhaviṣyatyaśiṣyaparigrahāt | evadeva mahāmate lokāyataṃ bhinnasaṃhitaṃ vicitrahetūpanibaddhaṃ tīrthakarairdeśyate svakāraṇābhiniveśābhiniviṣṭaiḥ, na svanayaḥ | na ca mahāmate kasyacittīrthakarasya svaśāstranayaḥ | anyatra lokāyatameva anekairākāraiḥ kāraṇamukhaśatasahasrairdeśayanti | na svanayaṃ ca na prajānanti mohohāllokāyatamidamiti ||



mahāmatirāha-yadi bhagavan sarvatīrthakarā lokāyatameva vicitraiḥ padavyañjanairdṛṣṭāntopasaṃhārairdeśayanti, na svanayaṃ svakāraṇābhiniveśābhiniviṣṭāḥ, atha kiṃ bhagavānapi lokāyatameva deśayati āgatāgatānāṃ nānādeśasaṃnipatitānāṃ devāsuramanuṣyāṇāṃ vicitraiḥ padavyañjanaiḥ, na svamataṃ sarvatīrthyamatopadeśābhyantaratvāt ? bhagavānāha-nāhaṃ mahāmate lokāyataṃ deśayāmi na cāyavyayam | kiṃ tu mahāmate anāyavyayaṃ deśayāmi | tatra āyo nāma mahāmate utpādarāśiḥ samūhāgamādutpadyate | tatra vyayo nāma mahāmate vināśaḥ | anāyavyaya ityanutpādasyaitadadhivacanam | nāhaṃ mahāmate sarvatīrthakaravikalpābhyantaraṃ deśayāmi | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta bāhyabhāvābhāvādanabhiniveśātsvacittadṛśyamātrāvasthānāddidhāvṛttino'pravṛttervikalpasya | nimittagocarābhāvātsvacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhanātsvacittadṛśyavikalpo na pravartate | apravṛttivikalpasyānimittaśūnyatāpraṇihitavimokṣatrayāvatārānmukta ityucyate ||



abhijānāmyahaṃ mahāmate anyatarasmin pṛthivīpradeśe viharāmi | atha yenāhaṃ tena lokāyatiko brāhmaṇa upasaṃkrāntaḥ | upasaṃkramya akṛtāvakāśa eva māmevamāha-sarvaṃ bho gautama kṛtakam | tasyāhaṃ mahāmate evamāha-sarvaṃ bho brāhmaṇa yadi kṛtakam, idaṃ prathamaṃ lokāyatam | sarvaṃ bho gautama akṛtakam | yadi brāhmaṇa sarvamakṛtakam , idaṃ dvitīyaṃ lokāyatam | evaṃ sarvamanityaṃ sarvaṃ nityaṃ sarvamutpādyaṃ sarvamanutpādyam | idaṃ brāhmaṇa ṣaṣṭhaṃ lokāyatam | punarapi mahāmate māmevamāha brāhmaṇo lokāyatikaḥ-sarvaṃ bho gautama ekatvaṃ sarvamanyatvaṃ sarvamubhayatvaṃ sarvamanubhayatvaṃ sarvaṃ kāraṇādhīnaṃ vicitrahetūipapattidarśanāt | idamapi brāhmaṇa ekādaśaṃ lokāyatam | punarapi bho gautama sarvamavyākṛtaṃ sarvaṃ vyākṛtam, astyātmā nāstyātmā, astyayaṃ loko nāstyayaṃ lokaḥ,asti paro loko nāsti paro lokaḥ, nāstyasti ca paro lokaḥ, asti mokṣo nāsti mokṣaḥ, sarvaṃ kṣaṇikaṃ sarvamakṣaṇikam, ākāśamapratisaṃkhyānirodho nirvāṇaṃ bho gautama kṛtakamakṛtakam, astyantarābhavo nāstyantarābhava iti | tasyaitaduktaṃ mahāmate mahā-yadi bho brāhmaṇa evam, idamapi brāhmaṇa lokāyatameva bhavatīti, na madīyam | tvadīyametadbrāhmaṇa lokāyatam | ahaṃ bho brāhmaṇa anādikālaprapañcavikalpavāsanādauṣṭhulyahetukaṃ tribhavaṃ varṇayāmi | svacittadṛśyamātrānavabodhādbrāhmaṇa vikalpaḥ pravartate na bāhyabhāvopalambhāt | yathā tīrthakarāṇāmātmendriyārthasaṃnikarṣātrayāṇāṃ na tathā mama | ahaṃ bhe brāhmaṇa na hetuvādī nāhetuvādī anyatra vikalpameva grāhyagrāhakabhāvena prajñāpya pratītyasamutpādaṃ deśayāmi | na ca tvādṛśā anye vā budhyante ātmagrāhapatitayā saṃtatyā | nirvāṇākāśanirodhānāṃ mahāmate tattvameva nopalabhyate saṃkhyāyām, kutaḥ punaḥ kṛtakatvam ||
punarapi mahāmate lokāyatiko brāhmaṇa evamāha-ajñānatṛṣṇākarmahetukamidaṃ bho gautama tribhavam, athāhetukam ? dvayamapyetadbrāhmaṇa lokāyatam | svasāmānyalakṣaṇapatitā bho gautama sarvabhāvāḥ | idamapi brāhmaṇa lokāyatameva bhavati | yāvadbrāhmaṇa manovispanditaṃ bāhyārthābhiniveśavikalpasya tāvallokāyatam ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate lokāyatiko brāhmaṇo māmetadavocat-asti bho gautama kiṃcidyanna lokāyatam ? madīyameva bho gautama sarvatīrthakaraiḥ prasiddhaṃ vicitraiḥ padavyañjanairhetudṛṣṭāntopasaṃhārairdeśyate | asti bho brāhmaṇa yanna tvadīyaṃ na ca na prasiddhaṃ deśyate na ca na vicitraiḥ padavyañjanairna ca nārthopasaṃhitameva | kiṃ tadalokāyataṃ yanna prasiddhaṃ deśyate ca ? asti ca bho brāhmaṇa alokāyataṃ yatra sarvatīrthakarāṇāṃ tava ca buddhirna gāhate bāhyabhāvādasadbhūtavikalpaprapañcābhiniviṣṭānām | yaduta vikalpasyāpravṛttiḥ sadasataḥ svacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhādvikalpo na pravartate | bāhyaviṣayagrahaṇābhāvādvikalpaḥ svasthāne'vatiṣṭhate dṛśyate | tenedamalokāyataṃ madīyaṃ na ca tvadīyam | svasthāne'vatiṣṭhata iti na pravartata ityarthaḥ | anutpattivikalpasyāpravṛttirityucyate | evamidaṃ bho brāhmaṇa yanna lokāyatam | saṃkṣepato brāhmaṇa yatra vijñānasyāgatirgatiścyutirupapattiḥ prārthanābhiniveśābhiṣvaṅgo darśanaṃ dṛṣṭiḥ sthānaṃ parāmṛṣṭirvicitralakṣaṇābhiniveśaḥ saṃgatiḥ sattvānāṃ tṛṣṇāyāḥ kāraṇābhiniveśaśca | etadbho brāhmaṇa tvadīyaṃ lokāyataṃ na madīyam | evamahaṃ mahāmate pṛṣṭo lokāyatikena brāhmaṇenāgatya | sa ca mayaivaṃ visarjitastūṣṇībhāvena prakrāntaḥ ||



atha khalu kṛṣṇapakṣiko nāgarājo brāhmaṇarūpeṇāgatya bhagavantametadavocat-tena hi gautama paraloka eva na saṃvidyate | tena hi māṇava kutastvamāgataḥ ? ihāhaṃ gautama śvetadvīpādāgataḥ | sa eva brāhmaṇa paro lokaḥ | atha māṇavo niṣpratibhāno nigṛhīto'ntarhito'pṛṣṭvaiva māṃ svanayapratyavasthānakathāṃ cintayan śākyaputro mannayabahirdhā varāko'pravṛttilakṣaṇahetuvādī svavikalpadṛśyalakṣaṇāvabodhādvikalpasyāpravṛttiṃ varṇayati | tvaṃ caitarhi mahāmate māṃ pṛcchasi-kiṃ kāraṇaṃ lokāyatikavicitramantrapratibhānaṃ sevyamānasyāmiṣasaṃgraho bhavati na dharmasaṃgraha iti | mahāmatirāha-atha dharmāmiṣamiti bhagavan kaḥ padārthaḥ ? bhagavānāha-sādhu sādhu mahāmate | padārthadvayaṃ prati mīmāṃsā pravṛttā anāgatāṃ janatāṃ samālokya | tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasi kuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt ||



bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-tatra āmiṣaṃ mahāmate katamat ? yaduta āmiṣamāmṛśamākarṣaṇaṃ nirmṛṣaṃ parāmṛṣṭiḥ svādo bāhyaviṣayābhiniveśo'ntadvayapraveśaḥ | kudṛṣṭyā punaḥ skandhaprādurbhāvo jātijarāvyādhimaraṇaśokaparidevaduḥkhadaurmanasyopāyāsapravṛttistṛṣṇāyāḥ paunarbhavikyā ādiṃ kṛtvā | āmiṣamidamityucyate mayā ca anyaiśca buddhairbhagavadbhiḥ | eṣa mahāmate āmiṣasaṃgraho na dharmasaṃgraho yaṃ lokāyatikaṃ sevamāno labhate lokāyatam ||



tatra mahāmate dharmasaṃgrahaḥ katamaḥ ? yaduta svacittadharmanairātmyadvayāva-

bodhāddharmapudgalanairātmyalakṣaṇadarśanādvikalpasyāpravṛttiḥ, bhūmyuttaroparijñānāccittamanomanovijñānavyāvṛttiḥ, sarvabuddhajñānābhiṣekagatiḥ anadhiṣṭhāpadaparigrahaḥ sarvadharmānābhogavaśavartitā dharma ityucyate, sarvadṛṣṭiprapañcavikalpabhāvāntadvayāpatanatayā | prāyeṇa hi mahāmate tīrthakaravādo bālānantadvaye pātayati na tu viduṣām, yaduta ucchede ca śāśvate ca | ahetuvādaparigrahācchāśvatadṛṣṭirbhavati, kāraṇavināśahetvabhāvāducchedadṛṣṭirbhavati | kiṃ tu utpādasthitibhaṅgadarśanāddharma ityevaṃ vadāmi | eṣa mahāmate dharmāmiṣanirṇayaḥ, yatra tvayā anyaiśca bodhisattvairmahāsattvaiḥ śikṣitavyam ||

tatredamucyate -

saṃgrahaiśca dametsattvān śīlena ca vaśīkaret |

prajñayā nāśayeddṛṣṭiṃ vimokṣaiśca vivardhayet || 62 ||

lokāyatamidaṃ sarvaṃ yattīrthyairdeśyate mṛṣā |

kāryakāraṇasaddṛṣṭyā svasiddhānto na vidyate || 63 ||

ahamekaḥ svasiddhāntaṃ kāryakāraṇavarjitam |

deśemi śiṣyavargasya lokāyatavivarjitam || 64 ||

cittamātraṃ na dṛśyo'sti dvidhā cittaṃ hi dṛśyate |

grāhyagrāhakabhāvena śāśvatocchedavarjitam || 65 ||

yāvatpravartate cittaṃ tāvallokāyataṃ bhavet |

apravṛttirvikalpasya svacittaṃ paśyate jagat || 66 ||

āyaṃ kāryārthanirvṛttiṃ vyayaṃ kāryasya darśanam |

āyavyayaparijñānādvikalpo na pravartate || 67 ||

nityamanityaṃ kṛtakamakṛtakaṃ parāparam |

evamādyāni sarvāṇi lokāyatanayaṃ bhavet || 68 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantametadavocat-nirvāṇaṃ nirvāṇamiti bhagavannucyate | kasyaitadadhivacanaṃ yaduta nirvāṇamiti yatsarvatīrthakarairvikalpyate ? bhagavānāha-tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu va suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | yathā tīrthakarā nirvāṇaṃ vikalpayanti, na ca bhavati teṣāṃ vikalpānurupaṃ nirvāṇam | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-tatra kecittāvanmahāmate tīrthakarāḥ skandhadhātvāyatananirodhādviṣayavairāgyānnivaidharmyādarśanāccittacaittakalāpo na pravartate | atītānāgatapratyutpannaviṣayānanusmaraṇāddīpabījānalavadupādānoparamādapravṛttirvikalpasyeti varṇayanti | atasteṣāṃ tatra nirvāṇabuddhirbhavati | na ca mahāmate vināśadṛṣṭyā nirvāyate ||



anye punardeśāntarasthānagamanaṃ mokṣa iti varṇayanti viṣayavikalpoparamādiṣu pavanavat | anye punarvarṇayanti tīrthakarāḥ buddhiboddhavyadarśanavināśānmokṣa iti | anye vikalpasyāpravṛtternityānityadarśanānmokṣaṃ kalpayanti | anye punarvarṇayanti vividhanimittavikalpo duḥkhajanmavāhaka iti svacittadṛśyamātrākuśalāḥ | nimittabhayabhītā nimittadarśanātsukhābhilāṣanimitte nirvāṇabuddhayo bhavanti | anye punaradhyātmabāhyānāṃ sarvadharmāṇāṃ svasāmānyalakṣaṇāvabodhādavināśato'tītānāgatapratyutpannabhāvāstitayā nirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye punarātmasattvajīvapoṣapuruṣapudgalasarvadharmāvināśataśca nirvāṇaṃ kalpayati | anye punarmahāmate tīrthakarā durvidagdhabuddhayaḥ prakṛtipuruṣāntaradarśanādguṇapariṇāmakartṛtvācca nirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye puṇyāpuṇyaparikṣayāt | anye kleśakṣayājjñānena ca | anye īśvarasvatantrakartṛtvadarśanājjagato nirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye anyonyapravṛtto'yaṃ saṃbhavo jagata iti na kāraṇataḥ | sa ca kāraṇābhiniveśa eva, na cāvabudhyante mohāt, tadanavabodhānnirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye punarmahāmate tīrthakarāḥ satyamārgādhigamānnirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye guṇaguṇinorabhisaṃbaddhādekatvānyatvobhayatvānubhayatvadarśanānnirvāṇabuddhayo bhavanti| anye svabhāvataḥ pravṛttito mayūravaicitryavividharatnākarakaṇṭakataikṣṇyavadbhāvānāṃ svabhāvaṃ dṛṣṭvā nirvāṇaṃ vikalpayanti | anye punarmahāmate pañcaviṃśatitattvāvabodhāt, anye prajāpālena ṣāḍguṇyopadeśagrahaṇānnirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye kālakartṛdarśanātkālāyattā lokapravṛttiriti tadavabodhānnirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye punarmahāmate bhavena, anye'bhavena, anye bhavābhavaparijñayā, anye bhavanirvāṇāviśeṣadarśanena nirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | anye punarmahāmate varṇayanti sarvajñasiṃhanādanādino yathā svacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhādbāhyabhāvābhāvānabhiniveśāccātuṣkoṭikarahitād yathābhūtāvasthānadarśanātsvacittadṛśyavikalpasyāntadvayāpatanatayā grāhyagrāhakānupalabdheḥ sarvapramāṇāgrahaṇāpravṛttidarśanāttattvasya vyāmohakatvādagrahaṇaṃ tattvasya, tadvyudāsātsvapratyātmāryadharmādhigamānnairātmyadvayāvabodhātkleśadvayavinivṛtterāvaraṇa-dvayaviśuddhatvādbhūmyuttarottaratathāgatabhūmimāyādiviśvasamādhicittamanomanovijñānavyāvṛtternirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | evamanyānyapi yāni tārkikaiḥ kutīrthyapraṇītāni tānyayuktiyuktāni vidvadbhiḥ parivarjitāni | sarve'pyete mahāmate antadvayapatitayā saṃtatyā nirvāṇaṃ kalpayanti | evamādibhirvikalpairmahāmate sarvatīrthakarairnirvāṇaṃ parikalpyate | na cātra kaścitpravartate vā nivartate vā | ekaikasya mahāmate tīrthakarasya nirvāṇaṃ tatsvaśāstramatibuddhyā parīkṣyamāṇaṃ vyabhicarati | tathā na tiṣṭhate yathā tairvikalpyate | manasa āgatigativispandanānnāsti kasyacinnirvāṇam | atra tvayā mahāmate śikṣitvā anyaiśca bodhisattvairmahāsattvaiḥ sarvatīrthakaranirvāṇadṛṣṭirvyāvartanīyā ||

tatredamucyate-

nirvāṇadṛṣṭayastīrthyā vikalpenti pṛthakpṛthak |

kalpanāmātramevaiṣāṃ mokṣopāyo na vidyate || 69 ||

bandhyabandhananirmuktā upāyaiśca vivarjitāḥ |

tīrthyā mokṣaṃ vikalpenti na ca mokṣo hi vidyate || 70 ||

anekabhedabhinno hi tīrthyānāṃ dṛśyate nayaḥ |

atasteṣāṃ na mokṣo'sti kasmānmūḍhairvikalpyate || 71 ||

kāryakāraṇadurduṣṭyā tīrthyāḥ sarve vimohitāḥ |

atasteṣāṃ na mokṣo'sti sadasatpakṣavādinām || 72 ||

jalpaprapañcābhiratā hi bālā-

stattve na kurvanti matiṃ viśālām |

jalpo hi traidhātukaduḥkhayoni-

stattvaṃ hi duḥkhasya vināśahetuḥ || 73 ||

yathā hi darpaṇe rūpaṃ dṛśyate na ca vidyate |

vāsanādarpaṇe cittaṃ dvidhā dṛśyati bāliśaiḥ || 74 ||

cittadṛśyāparijñānādvikalpo jāyate dvidhā |

cittadṛśyaparijñānādvikalpo na pravartate || 75 ||

cittameva bhaveccitraṃ lakṣyalakṣaṇavarjitam |

dṛśyākāraṃ na dṛśyo'sti yathā bālairvikalpyate || 76 ||

vikalpamātraṃ tribhavaṃ bāhyamarthaṃ na vidyate |

vikalpaṃ dṛśyate citraṃ na ca bālairvibhāvyate || 77 ||

sūtre sūtre vikalpoktaṃ saṃjñānāmāntareṇa ca |

abhidhānavinirmuktamabhidheyaṃ na lakṣyate || 78 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavantametadavocat-deśayatu me bhagavāṃstathāgato'rhan samyaksaṃbuddhaḥ svabuddhabuddhatām, yena ahaṃ ca anye ca bodhisattvā mahāsattvāstathāgatasvakuśalāḥ svamātmānaṃ parāṃścāvabodhayeyuḥ | bhagavānāha-tena hi mahāmate tvameva paripṛccha | yathā te kṣamate, tathā visarjayiṣyāmi | mahāmatirāha-kiṃ punarbhagavan tathāgato'rhan samyaksaṃbuddho'kṛtakaḥ kṛtakaḥ kāryaṃ kāraṇaṃ lakṣyaṃ lakṣaṇamabhidhānamabhidheyaṃ buddhirboddhavyaḥ, evamādyaiḥ padaniruktaiḥ kiṃ bhagavānanyo'nanyaḥ ?



bhagavānāha-na mahāmate tathāgato'rhan samyaksaṃbuddha evamādyaiḥ padaniruktairakṛtako na kṛtakaṃ na kāryaṃ na kāraṇam | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta ubhayadoṣaprasaṅgāt | yadi hi mahāmate tathāgataḥ kṛtakaḥ syāt, anityatvaṃ syāt | anityatvātsarvaṃ hi kāryaṃ tathāgataḥ syāt | aniṣṭaṃ caitanmama ca anyeṣāṃ ca tathāgatānām | athākṛtakaḥ syāt, alabdhātmakatvātsamudāgatasaṃbhāravaiyarthyaṃ syāt, śaśaviṣāṇavadvandhyāputratulyaśca syādakṛtakatvāt | yacca mahāmate na kāryaṃ na kāraṇaṃ tanna sannāsat | yacca na sannāsat, taccātuṣkoṭikabāhyam | cātuṣkoṭikaṃ ca mahāmate lokavyavahāraḥ | yacca cātuṣkoṭikabāhyaṃ tadvāgmātraṃ prasajyate vandhyāputravat | vandhyāputro hi mahāmate vāgmātraṃ na cātuṣkoṭikapatitaḥ | apatitatvādapramāṇaṃ viduṣām | evaṃ sarvatathāgatapadārthā vidvadbhiḥ pratyavagantavyāḥ | yadapyuktaṃ mayā nirātmānaḥ sarvadharmā iti, tasyāpyarthaṃ niboddhavyaṃ mahāmate | nirātmabhāvo mahāmate nairātmyam | svātmanā sarvadharmā vidyante na parātmanā gośvavat | tadyathā mahāmate na gobhāvo'śvātmako na cāśvabhāvo gavātmakaḥ, na sannāsat, na ca tau svalakṣaṇato na, vidyete eva tau svalakṣaṇataḥ, evameva mahāmate sarvadharmā na ca svalakṣaṇena na saṃvidyante | vidyanta eva | tena ca bālapṛthagjanairnirātmārthatā avabudhyate vikalpamupādāya, na tvavikalpam | evaṃ śūnyānutpādāsvābhāvyaṃ sarvadharmaṇāṃ pratyavagantavyam | evaṃ skandhebhyo nānyo nānanyastathāgataḥ | yadyananyaḥ skandhebhyaḥ syāt, anityaḥ syāt kṛtatvātskandhānām | athānyaḥ syāt, dvaye satyanyathā bhavati goviṣāṇavat ||



tatra sādṛśyadarśanādananyatvaṃ hrasvadīrghadarśanādanyatvaṃ sarvabhāvānām | dakṣiṇaṃ hi mahāmate goviṣāṇaṃ vāmasyānyadbhavati, vāmamapi dakṣiṇasya | evaṃ hrasvadīrghatvayoḥ parasparataḥ | evaṃ varṇavaicitryataśca | ataścāparasparato'nyaḥ | na cānyastathāgataḥ skandhadhātvāyanebhyaḥ | evaṃ vimokṣāttathāgato nānyo nānanyaḥ | tathāgata eva mokṣaśabdena deśyate | yadi anyaḥ syānmokṣāttathāgataḥ, rūpalakṣaṇayuktaḥ syāt | rūpalakṣaṇayuktatvādanityaḥ syāt | athānanyaḥ syāt, prāptilakṣaṇavibhāgo na syādyoginām | dṛṣṭaśca mahāmate vibhāgo yogibhiḥ | ato nānyo nānanyaḥ | evaṃ jñānaṃ jñeyānnānyannānanyat | yaddhi mahāmate na nityaṃ nānityaṃ na kāryaṃ na kāraṇaṃ na saṃskṛtaṃ nāsaṃskṛtaṃ na buddhirna boddhavyaṃ na lakṣyaṃ na lakṣaṇaṃ na skandhā na skandhebhyo'nyat nābhidheyaṃ nābhidhānaṃ naikatvānyatvobhayatvānubhayatvasaṃbaddham, tatsarvapramāṇavinivṛttam | yatsarvapramāṇavinivṛttaṃ tadvāṅbhātraṃ saṃpadyate | yadvāṅbhātraṃ tadanutpannam | yadanutpannaṃ tadaniruddham | yadaniruddhaṃ tadākāśasamam | ākāśaṃ ca mahāmate na kāryaṃ na kāraṇam | yacca na kāryaṃ na kāraṇaṃ tannirālambyam | yannirālambyaṃ tatsarvaprapañcātītam | yatsarvaprapañcātītaṃ sa tathāgataḥ | etaddhi mahāmate samyaksaṃbuddhatvam | eṣā sā buddhabuddhatā sarvapramāṇendriyavinivṛttā ||



tatredamucyate -

pramāṇendriyanirmuktaṃ na kāryaṃ nāpi kāraṇam |

buddhiboddhavyarahitaṃ lakṣyalakṣaṇavarjitam || 79 ||

skandhān pratītya saṃbuddho na dṛṣṭaḥ kenacitkvacit |

yo na dṛṣṭaḥ kvacitkenacitkathaṃ tasya vibhāvanā || 80 ||

na kṛtako nākṛtako na kāryaṃ nāpi kāraṇam |

na ca skandhā na cāskandhā na cāpyanyatra saṃkarāt || 81 ||

na hi yo yena bhāvena kalpyamāno na dṛśyate |

na taṃ nāstyeva gantavyaṃ dharmāṇāmeva dharmatā || 82 ||

astitvapūrvakaṃ nāsti asti nāstitvapūrvakam |

ato nāsti na gantavyamastitvaṃ na ca kalpayet || 83 ||

ātmanairātmyasaṃmūḍhāddhoṣamātrāvalambinaḥ |

antadvayanimagnāste naṣṭā nāśenti bāliśān || 84 ||

sarvadoṣavinirmuktaṃ yadā paśyanti mannayam |

tadā samyakprapaśyanti na te dūṣenti nāyakān || 85 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantametadavocat-deśayatu me bhagavān, deśayatu sugataḥ, yaddeśanāpāṭhe bhagavatā anirodhānutpādagrahaṇaṃ kṛtam | uktaṃ ca tvayā yathā tathāgatasyaitadadhivacanamanirodhānutpāda iti | tatkimayaṃ bhagavan abhāvo'nirodhānutpādaḥ, uta tathāgatasyaitatparyāyāntaram ? yadbhagavānevamāha-aniruddhā anutpannāśca bhagavatā sarvadharmā deśyante sadasatpakṣādarśanāt | yadyanutpannāḥ sarvadharmā iti bhagavan dharmagrahaṇaṃ na prāpnoti, ajātatvātsarvadharmāṇām | atha paryāyāntarametatkasyaciddharmasya, taducyatāṃ bhagavan | bhagavānāha-tena hi mahāmate śṛṇu, sādhu ca suṣṭhu ca manasikuru | bhāṣiṣye'haṃ te | sādhu bhagavanniti mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvo bhagavataḥ pratyaśrauṣīt | bhagavāṃstasyaitadavocat-na hi mahāmate abhāvastathāgato na ca sarvadharmāṇāmanirodhānutpādagrahaṇam | na pratyayo'pekṣitavyo na ca nirarthakamanutpādagrahaṇaṃ kriyate mayā | kiṃ tu mahāmate manomayadharmakāyasya tathāgatasyaitadadhivacanaṃ yatra sarvatīrthakaraśrāvakapratyekabuddhasaptabhūmipratiṣṭhitānāṃ ca bodhisattvānāmaviṣayaḥ | so'nutpādastathāgatasya | etanmahāmate paryāyavacanam | tadyathā mahāmate indraḥ śakraḥ puraṃdaraḥ, hasyaḥ karaḥ pāṇiḥ, tanurdehaṃ śarīram, pṛthivī bhūmirvasuṃdharā, khamākāśaṃ gaganam | ityevamādyānāṃ bhāvānāmekaikasya bhāvasya bahavaḥ paryāyavācakāḥ śabdā bhavanti vikalpitāḥ | na caiṣāṃ nāmabahutvādbhāvabahutvaṃ vikalpyate | na ca svabhāvo na bhavati | evaṃ mahāmate ahamapi sahāyāṃ lokadhātau tribhirnāmāsaṃkhyeyaśatasahasrairbālānāṃ śravaṇāvabhāsamāgacchāmi | taiścābhilapanti mām, na ca prajānanti tathāgatasyaite nāmaparyāyā iti | tatra kecinmahāmate tathāgatamiti māṃ saṃprajānanti | kecitsvayaṃbhuvamiti | nāyakaṃ vināyakaṃ pariṇāyakaṃ buddhamṛṣiṃ vṛṣabhaṃ brahmāṇaṃ viṣṇumīśvaraṃ pradhānaṃ kapilaṃ bhūtāntamariṣṭaneminaṃ somaṃ bhāskaraṃ rāmaṃ vyāsaṃ śukamindraṃ baliṃ varuṇamiti caike saṃjānanti | apare anirodhānutpādaṃ śūnyatāṃ tathatāṃ satyatāṃ bhūtatāṃ bhūtakoṭiṃ dharmadhātuṃ nirvāṇaṃ nityaṃ samatāmadvayamanirodhamanimittaṃ pratyayaṃ buddhahetūpadeśaṃ vimokṣaṃ mārgasatyāni sarvajñaṃ jinaṃ manomayamiti caike saṃjānanti | evamādibhirmahāmate paripūrṇaṃ tribhirnāmāsaṃkhyeyaśatasahasrairanūnairanadhikairihānyeṣu ca lokadhātuṣu māṃ janāḥ saṃjānante udakacandra ivāpraviṣṭanirgatam | na ca bālā avabudhyante dvayāntapatitayā saṃtatyā | atha ca satkurvanti gurukurvanti mānayanti pūjayanti ca māṃ padārthaniruktyakuśalā abhinnasaṃjñāḥ, na svanayaṃ prajānantiṃ deśanārutapāṭhābhiniviṣṭāḥ | anirodhānutpādamabhāvaṃ kalpayiṣyanti na ca tathāgatanāmapadaparyāyāntaramindraśakrapuraṃdaraṃ na svanayapratyavasthānapāṭhamadhimokṣanti, yathārutārthapāṭhānusāritvātsarvadharmāṇām | evaṃ ca mahāmate vakṣyanti te mohapuruṣāḥ-yathāruta evārthaḥ, ananyo'rtho rutāditi | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta arthasyāśarīratvādrutādanyo'rtho na bhavati | kiṃ tu rutamevārtha iti rutasvabhāvāparijñānādavidagdhabuddhayaḥ | na tvevaṃ jñāsyanti mahāmate yathā rutamutpannapradhvaṃsi, artho'nutpannapradhvaṃsī | rutaṃ mahāmate akṣarapatitam, artho'nakṣarapatitaḥ | bhāvābhāvavivarjitatvādajanmāśarīram | na ca mahāmate tathāgatā akṣarapatitaṃ dharmaṃ deśayanti | akṣarāṇāṃ sadasato'nupalabdheḥ | anyatra akṣarapatitāśayaḥ punarmahāmate yo'kṣarapatitaṃ dharmaṃ deśayati, sa ca pralapati, nirakṣaratvāddharmasya | ata etasmātkāraṇānmahāmate uktaṃ deśanāpāṭhe mayā anyaiśca buddhabodhisattvaiḥ yathaikamapyakṣaraṃ tathāgatā nodāharanti na pratyāharantīti | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta anakṣaratvāddharmāṇām | na ca nārthopasaṃhitamudāharanti | udāharantyeva vikalpamupādāya | anupādānānmahāmate sarvadharmāṇāṃ śāsanalopaḥ syāt | śāsanānāṃ lopācca buddhapratyekabuddhaśrāvakabodhisattvānāmabhāvaḥ syāt | tadabhāvātkiṃ kasya deśyeta ? ata etasmātkāraṇānmahāmate bodhisattvena mahāsattvena deśanāpāṭharutānabhiniviṣṭena bhavitavyam | sa vyabhicārī mahāmate deśanāpāṭhaḥ | sattvāśayapravṛttatvānnānādhimuktikānāṃ sattvānāṃ dharmadeśanā kriyate cittamanomanovijñānavyāvṛttyarthaṃ mayā anyaiśca tathāgatairarhadbhiḥ samyaksaṃbuddhaiḥ, na svapratyātmāryajñānādhigamapratyavasthānāt sarvadharmanirābhāasasvacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhāddvidhāvikalpasya vyāvṛttitaḥ | arthapratiśaraṇena mahāmate bodhisattvena mahāsattvena bhavitavyaṃ na vyañjanapratiśaraṇena | vyañjanānusārī mahāmate kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā svātmānaṃ ca nāśayati, parārthāṃśca nāvabodhayati | kudṛṣṭipatitayā saṃtatyā svapakṣaṃ vibhrāmyate kutīrthakaiḥ sarvadharmabhūmisvalakṣaṇākuśalaiḥ padaniruktyanabhijñaiḥ ||



atha sarvadharmabhūmisvalakṣaṇakuśalā bhavanti padaparyāyaniruktigatiṃgatā bhāvārthayuktikuśalāḥ | tataḥ svātmānaṃ ca samyaganimittasukhena prīṇayanti, parāṃśca samyaṅmahāyāne pratiṣṭhāpayanti | mahāyāne ca mahāmate samyakparigṛhyamāṇe buddhaśrāvakapratyekabuddhabodhisattvānāṃ parigrahaḥ kṛto bhavati | buddhabodhisattvaśrāvakapratyekabuddhaparigrahātsarvasattvaparigrahaḥ kṛto bhavati | sarvasattvaparigrahātsaddharmaparigrahaḥ kṛto bhavati | saddharmaparigrahācca mahāmate buddhavaṃśasyānupacchedaḥ kṛto bhavati | buddhavaṃśasyānupacchedādāyatanaviśeṣapratilambhāḥ prajñāyante | atasteṣu viśiṣṭāyatanapratilambheṣu bodhisattvā mahāsattvā upapattiṃ parigṛhya mahāyāne pratiṣṭhāpanatayā daśavaśitāvicitrarūpaveśadhāriṇo bhūtvā sattvaviśeṣānuśayalakṣaṇagatibhūtāstathātvāya dharmaṃ deśayanti ||



tatra tathātvamananyathātvaṃ tattvam | anāyūhāniryūhalakṣaṇaṃ sarvaprapañcopaśamaṃ tattvamityucyate | tena na mahāmate kulaputreṇa vā kuladuhitrā vā yathārutārthābhiniveśakuśalena bhavitavyam | nirakṣaratvāttattvasya | na cāṅguliprekṣakeṇa bhavitavyam | tadyathā mahāmate aṅgulyā kaścitkasyacitkiṃcidādarśayet | sa cāṅgulyagrameva pratiseradvīkṣitum | evameva mahāmate bālajātīyā iva bālapṛthagjanavargā yathārutāṅgulyagrābhiniveśābhiniviṣṭā eva kālaṃ kariṣyanti, na yathārutāṅgulyagrārthaṃ hitvā paramārthamāgamiṣyanti | tadyathā mahāmate annaṃ bhojyaṃ bālānāṃ ca kaścidanabhisaṃskṛtaṃ paribhoktum | atha kaścidanabhisaṃskṛtaṃ paribhuñjīta, sa unmatta iti vikalpyeta anupūrvasaṃskārānavabodhādannasya, evameva mahāmate anutpādo'nirodho nānabhisaṃskṛtaḥ śobhate | avaśyamevātrābhisaṃskāreṇa bhavitavyam, na cātmānamaṅgulyagragrahaṇārthadarśanavat | ata etena kāraṇena mahāmate arthābhiyogaḥ karaṇīyaḥ | artho mahāmate vivikto nirvāṇahetuḥ | rutaṃ vikalpasaṃbaddhaṃ saṃsārāvāhakam | arthaśca mahāmate bahuśrutānāṃ sakāśāllabhyate | bāhuśrutyaṃ ca nāma mahāmate yaduta arthakauśalyaṃ na rutakauśalyam | tatrārthakauśalyaṃ yatsarvatīrthakaravādāsaṃsṛṣṭaṃ darśanam | yathā svayaṃ ca na patati parāṃśca na pātayati | evaṃ satyarthe mahāmate bāhuśrutyaṃ bhavati | tasmādarthakāmena te sevanīyāḥ | ato viparītā ye yathārutārthābhiniviṣṭāste varjanīyāstattvānveṣiṇā ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmatirbuddhādhiṣṭhānādhiṣṭhita evamāha-na bhagavatā anirodhānutpādadarśanena kiṃcidviśiṣyate | tatkasya hetoḥ ? sarvatīrthakarāṇāmapi bhagavan kāraṇānyanutpannānyaniruddhāni | tavāpi bhagavan ākāśamapratisaṃkhyānirodho nirvāṇadhātuścānirodho'nutpannaḥ | tīrthakarā api bhagavan kāraṇapratyayahetukīṃ jagata utpattiṃ varṇayanti | bhagavānapi ajñānatṛṣṇākarmavikalpapratyayebhyo jagata utpattiṃ varṇayati | tasyaiva kāraṇasya saṃjñāntaraviśeṣamutpādya pratyayā iti | evaṃ bāhyaiḥ pratyayairbāhyānām | te ca tvaṃ ca bhāvānāmutpattaye | ato nirviśiṣṭo'yaṃ bhagavan vādastīrthakaravādena bhavati | aṇupradhāneśvaraprajāpatiprabhṛtayo navadravyasahitā aniruddhā anutpannāḥ | tavāpi bhagavan sarvabhāvā anutpannāniruddhāḥ sadasato'nupalabdheḥ | bhūtāvināśācca svalakṣaṇaṃ notpadyate, na nirudhyate | yāṃ tāṃ gatiṃ gatvā bhūto bhūtasvabhāvaṃ na vijahāti | bhūtavikalpavikāro'yaṃ bhagavan sarvatīrthakarairvikalpyate tvayā ca | ata etena kāraṇena aviśiṣṭo'yaṃ vādaḥ | viśeṣo vātra vaktavyo yena tathāgatavādo viśeṣyate, na sarvatīrthakaravādaḥ | aviśiṣyamāṇe bhagavan svavāde tīrthakarāṇāmapi buddhaprasaṅgaḥ syādanirodhānutpādahetutvāt | asthānamanavakāśaṃ coktaṃ bhagavatā yadekatra lokadhātau bahavastathāgatā utpadyeranniti | prāptaṃ caitattathāgatabahutvaṃ sadasatkāryaparigrahāccāviśiṣyamāṇe svavāde ||



bhagavānāha-na mama mahāmate anirodhānutpādastīrthakarānutpādānirodhavādena tulyo nāpyutpādānityavādena | tatkasya hetoḥ ? tīrthakarāṇāṃ hi mahāmate bhāvasvabhāvo vidyata evānutpannāvikaralakṣaṇaprāptaḥ | na tvevaṃ mama sadasatpakṣapatitaḥ | mama tu mahāmate sadasatpakṣavigata utpādabhaṅgavirahito na bhāvo nābhāavaḥ, māyāsvarūpavaicitryadarśanavannābhāvaḥ | kathaṃ na bhāvaḥ ? yaduta rūpasvabhāvalakṣaṇagrahaṇābhāvāddṛśyādṛśyato grahaṇāgrahaṇataḥ | ata etasmātkāraṇātsarvabhāvā na bhāvā nābhāvāḥ | kiṃ tu svacittadṛśyamātrāvabodhādvikalpasyāpravṛtteḥ svastho loko niṣkriyaḥ | bālāḥ kriyāvantaṃ kalpayanti, na tvāryāḥ | abhūtārthavikalpārthavibhram eṣa mahāmate gandharvanagaramāyāpuruṣavat | tadyathā mahāmate kaścidgandharvanagare bālajātīyo māyāpuruṣasattvasārthavaicitryaṃ praviaśantaṃ vā nirgacchantaṃ vā kalpayet-amī praviṣṭā amī nirgatāḥ | na ca tatra kaścitpraviṣṭo vā nirgato vā | atha yāvadeva vikalpavibhramabhāva eṣaḥ, teṣāmevameva mahāmate utpādānutpādavibhrama eṣa bālānām | na cātra kaścitsaṃskṛto'saṃskṛto vā māyāpuruṣotpattivat | na ca māyāpuruṣa utpadyate vā nirudhyate vā bhāvābhāvākiṃcitkaratvāt | evameva sarvadharmā bhaṅgotpādavarjitāḥ | anyatra vitathapatitayā saṃjñayā bālā utpādanirodhaṃ kalpayanti na tvāryāḥ | tatra vitathamiti mahāmate na tathā yathā bhāvasvabhāvaḥ kalpyate | nāpyanyathā | anyathā kalpyamāne sarvabhāvasvabhāvābhiniveśa eva syāt | na viviktadarśanāviviktadarśanādvikalpasya vyāvṛttireva na syāt | ata etasmātkāraṇānmahāmate animittadarśanameva śreyo na nimittadarśanam | nimittaṃ punarjanmahetutvādaśreyaḥ | animittamiti mahāmate vikalpasyāpravṛttiranutpādo nirvāṇamiti vadāmi | tatra nirvāṇamiti mahāmate yathābhūtārthasthānadarśanaṃ vikalpacittacaittakalāpasya parāvṛttipūrvakam | tathāgatasvapratyātmāryajñānādhigamaṃ nirvāṇamiti vadāmi ||

utpādavinivṛttyarthamanutpādaprasādhakam |

ahetuvādaṃ deśemi na ca bālairvibhāvyate || 86 ||

anutpannamidaṃ sarvaṃ na ca bhāvā na santi ca |

gandharvasvapnamāyākhyā bhāvā vidyantyahetukāḥ || 87 ||

anutpannasvabhāvāśca śūnyāḥ kena vadāhi me |

samavāyādvinirmukto buddhyā bhāvo na gṛhyate |

tasmācchūnyamanutpannaṃ niḥsvabhāvaṃ vadāmyaham || 88 ||

samavāyastathaikaikaṃ dṛśyābhāvānna vidyate |

na tīrthyadṛṣṭyapralayātsamavāyo na vidyate || 89 ||

svapna keśoṇḍukaṃ māyā gandharvaṃ mṛgatṛṣṇikā |

ahetukāni dṛśyante tathā lokavicitratā || 90 ||

nigṛhyāhetuvādena anutpādaṃ prasādhayet |

anutpāde prasādhyante mama netrī na naśyati |

ahetuvāde deśyante tīrthyānāṃ jāyate bhayam || 91 ||

kathaṃ kena kutaḥ kutra saṃbhavo'hetuko bhavet |

nāhetuko na hetubhyo yadā paśyanti saṃskṛtam |

tadā vyāvartate dṛṣṭirvibhaṅgotpādavādinī || 92 ||

kimabhāvo hyanutpāda uta pratyayavīkṣaṇam |

atha bhāvasya nāmedaṃ nirarthaṃ vā bravīhi me || 93 ||

na cābhāvo hyanutpādo na ca pratyayavīkṣaṇam |

na ca bhāvasya nāmedaṃ na ca nāma nirarthakam || 94 ||

yatra śrāvakapratyekabuddhānāṃ tīrthyānāṃ ca agocaraḥ |

saptabhūmigatānāṃ ca tadanutpādalakṣaṇam || 95 ||

hetupratyayavyāvṛttiṃ kāraṇasya nirodhanam |

cittamātravyavasthānamanutpādaṃ vadāmyaham || 96 ||

ahetuvṛttirbhāvānāṃ kalpyakalpanavarjitam |

sadasatpakṣanirmuktamanutpādaṃ vadāmyaham || 97 ||

cittaṃ dṛśyavinirmuktaṃ svabhāvadvayavarjitam |

āśrayasya parāvṛttimanutpādaṃ vadāmyaham || 98 ||

na bāhyabhāvaṃ nābhāvaṃ nāpi cittaparigrahaḥ |

svapnaṃ keśoṇḍukaṃ māyā gandharvaṃ mṛgatṛṣṇikā |

sarvadṛṣṭiprahāṇaṃ ca tadanutpādalakṣaṇam || 99 ||

evaṃ śūnyāsvabhāvādyān padān sarvān vibhāvayet |

na jātu śūnyayā śūnyā kiṃ tvanutpādaśūnyayā || 100 ||

kalāpaḥ pratyayānāṃ ca pravartate nivartate |

kalāpācca pṛthagbhūtaṃ na jātaṃ na nirudhyate || 101 ||

bhāvo na vidyate'nyo'nyaḥ kalāpācca pṛthak kvacit |

ekatvena pṛthaktvena yathā tīrthyairvikalpyate || 102 ||

asanna jāyate bhāvo nāsanna sadasatkvacit |

anyatra hi kalāpo'yaṃ pravartate nivartate || 103 ||

saṃketamātramevedamanyonyāpekṣasaṃkalā |

anyamarthaṃ na caivāsti pṛthakpratyayasaṃkalāt || 104 ||

janyābhāvādanutpādaṃ tīrthyadoṣavivarjitam |

deśemi saṃkalāmātraṃ na ca bālairvibhāvyate || 105 ||

yasya janyo bhavedbhāvaḥ saṃkalāyāḥ pṛthak kvacit |

ahetuvādī vijñeyaḥ saṃkalāyā vināśakaḥ || 106 ||

pradīpo dravyajātīnāṃ vyañjakaḥ saṃkalā bhavet |

yasya bhāvo bhavetkaścitsaṃkalāyāḥ pṛthak kvacit || 107 ||

asvabhāvā hyanutpannāḥ prakṛtyā gaganopamāḥ |

saṃkalāyāḥ pṛthagbhūtā ye dharmāḥ kalpitābudhaiḥ || 108 ||

anyamanyamanutpādamāryāṇāṃ prāptidharmatā |

yasya jātinamutpādaṃ tadanutpāde kṣāntiḥ syāt || 109 ||

yadā sarvamimaṃ lokaṃ saṃkalāmeva paśyati |

saṃkalāmātramevedaṃ tadā cittaṃ samādhyate || 110 ||

ajñānatṛṣṇākarmādiḥ saṃkalādhyātmiko bhavet |

khejamṛdbhāṇḍacakrādi bījabhūtādi bāhiram || 111 ||

parato yasya vai bhāvaḥ pratyayairjāyate kvacit |

na saṃkalāmātramevedaṃ na te yuktyāgame sthitāḥ || 112 ||

yadi janyo na bhāvo'sti syādbuddhiḥ kasya pratyayāt |

anyonyajanakā hyete tenaite pratyayāḥ smṛtāḥ || 113 ||

uṣṇadravacalakaṭhinā dharmā bālairvikalpitāḥ |

kalāpo'yaṃ na dharmo'sti ato vai niḥsvabhāvatā || 114 ||

vaidyā yathāturavaśātkriyābhedaṃ prakurvate |

na tu śāstrasya bhedo'sti doṣabhedāttu bhidyate || 115 ||

tathāhaṃ sattvasaṃtānaṃ kleśadoṣaiḥ sadūṣitaiḥ |

indriyāṇāṃ balaṃ jñātvā nayaṃ deśemi prāṇinām || 116 ||

na kleśendriyabhedena śāsanaṃ bhidyate mama |

ekameva bhavedyānaṃ mārgamaṣṭāṅgikaṃ śivam || 117 ||



atha khalu mahāmatirbodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ punarapi bhagavantametadavocat-anityatā anityateti bhagavan sarvatīrthakarairvikalpyate | tvayā ca sarvadeśanāpāṭhe deśyate-anityā bata saṃskārā utpādavyayadharmiṇa iti | tatkimiyaṃ bhagavaṃstathyā mithyeti ? katiprakārā bhagavan anityatā ? bhagavānāha-aṣṭaprakārā hi mahāmate sarvatīrthakarairanityatā kalpyate, na tu mayā | katamāṣṭaprakārā ? tatra kecittāvanmahāmate āhuḥ-prārambhavinivṛttiranityateti | prārambho nāma mahāmate utpādo'nutpādo'nityatā | anye saṃsthānavinivṛttimanityatāṃ varṇayanti | anye rūpamevānityamiti | anye rūpasya vikārāntaramanityatām | nairantaryaprabandhena svarasabhaṅgabhedaṃ sarvadharmāṇāṃ kṣīradadhipariṇāmavikārāntaravadadṛṣṭanaṣṭā sarvabhāveṣu pravartate na nityateti | anye punarbhāvamanityatāṃ kalpayanti | anye bhāvābhāvamanityatāṃ kalpayanti | anye anutpādānityatāṃ sarvadharmāṇāmanityatāyāśca tadantargatatvāt | tatra mahāmate bhāvābhāvānityatā nāma yaduta bhūtabhautikasvalakṣaṇavināśānupalabdhirapravṛttirbhūtasvabhāvasya | tatra anutpādānityatā nāma yaduta nityamanityaṃ sadasatorapravṛttiḥ sarvadharmāṇāmadarśanaṃ paramāṇupravicayādadarśanam | anutpādasyaitadadhivacanaṃ notpādasya | etaddhi mahāmate anutpādānityatāyā lakṣaṇaṃ yasyānavabodhātsarvatīrthakarā utpādānityatāvāde prapatanti ||



punaraparaṃ mahāmate yasya bhāvo nityatā, tasya svamativikalpenaiva nityatā nānityatā bhāvaḥ | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta svayamavināśitvādanityatāyāḥ | iha mahāmate sarvabhāvānāmabhāvo'nityatāyāḥ kāryam | na cānityatāmantareṇa sarvabhāvābhāva upalabhyate daṇḍaśilāmudgarānyatarabhedyabhedakavat | anyonyāviśeṣadarśanaṃ dṛṣṭam | ato'nityatā kāraṇaṃ sarvabhāvābhāvaḥ kāryam | na ca kāryakāraṇayorviśeṣo'sti iyamanityatā idaṃ kāryamiti | aviśeṣātkāryakāraṇayornityāḥ sarvabhāvā ahetukatvādbhāavasya | sarvabhāvābhāvo hi mahāmate ahetukaḥ | na ca bālapṛthagjanā avabudhyante | na ca kāraṇaṃ visadṛśaṃ kāryaṃ janayati | atha janayet, teṣāmanityatā sarvabhāvānāṃ visadṛśaṃ kāryaṃ syāt, kāryakāraṇavibhāgo na syāt | dṛṣṭaśca kāryakāraṇavibhāgasteṣām | yadi vā anityatā abhāvaḥ syāt, kriyāhetubhāvalakṣaṇapatitaśca syāt, ekabhāvena vā parisamāptaḥ syātsaervabhāveṣu | kriyāhetubhāvalakṣaṇapatitatvācca svayamevānityatā nityā syāt, anityatvādayaḥ sarvabhāvā nityāḥ syurnityā eva bhaveyuḥ ||



atha sarvabhāvāntargatā anityatā, tena tryadhvapatitā syāt | tatra yadatītaṃ rūpaṃ tattena saha vinaṣṭam | anāgatamapi notpannam | rūpānutpattitayā vartamānenāpi rūpeṇa sahābhinnalakṣaṇam | rūpaṃ ca bhūtānāṃ saṃniveśaviśeṣaḥ | bhūtānāṃ bhautikasvabhāvo na vinaśyate anyānanyavivarjitatvāt | sarvatīrthakarāṇāmavināśātsarvabhūtānāṃ sarvaṃ tribhavaṃ bhūtabhautikaṃ yatrotpādasthitivikāraḥ prajñapyate | kimanyadanityaṃ bhūtabhautikavinirmuktaṃ yasyānityatā kalpyate tīrthakaraiḥ ? bhūtāni ca na pravartante na nivartante svabhāvalakṣaṇābhiniveśāt ||



tatra prārambhavinivṛttirnāma anityatā-na punarbhūtāni bhūtāntaramārabhante parasparavilakṣaṇasvalakṣaṇānna viśeṣaḥ prārabhyate | tadaviśeṣātteṣāmapunarārambhāddvidhāyogādanārambhasyānityatābuddhayo bhavanti ||



tatra saṃsthānavinivṛttirnāma anityatā-yaduta na bhūtabhautikaṃ vinaśyati ā pralayāt | pralayo nāma mahāmate ā paramāṇoḥ pravicayaparīkṣā vināśo bhūtabhautikasya saṃsthānasyānyathābhūtadarśanāddīrghahrasvānulabdhiḥ | na paramāṇubhūteṣu vināśādbhūtānāṃ saṃsthānavinivṛttidarśanātsāṃkhyavāde prapatanti ||



tatra saṃsthānānityatā nāma-yaduta yasya rūpamevānityaṃ tasya saṃsthānasyānityatā na bhūtānām | atha bhūtānāmanityatā syāt, lokasaṃvyavahārābhāvaḥ syāt | lokasaṃvyavahārābhāvāllokāyatikadṛṣṭipatitaḥ syāt, vāgmātratvātsarvabhāvānām | na punaḥ svalakṣaṇotpattidarśanāt ||



tatra vikārānityatā nāma-yaduta rūpasyānyathābhūtadarśanaṃ na bhūtānāṃ suvarṇasaṃsthānabhūṣaṇavikāradarśanavat | na suvarṇaṃ bhāvādvinaśyati kiṃ tu bhūṣaṇasaṃsthānavināśo bhavati ||



ye cānye vikārapatitāḥ, evamādyādibhiḥ prakāraistīrthakarairanityatādṛṣṭirvikalpyate | bhūtāni hi dahyamānānyagninā svalakṣaṇatvānna dahyante | anyonyataḥ svalakṣaṇavigamānmahābhūtabhautikabhāvocchedaḥ syāt ||



mama tu mahāmate na nityā nānityā | tatkasya hetoḥ ? yaduta bāhyabhāvānabhyupagamātribhavacittamātropadeśādvicitralakṣaṇānupadeśānna pravartate na nivartate mahābhūtasaṃniveśaviśeṣaḥ | na bhūtabhautikatvādvikalpasya dvidhā pravartate grāhyagrāhakālakṣaṇatā | vikalpasya pravṛttidvayaparijñānādbāhyabhāvābhāvadṛṣṭivigamātsvacittamātrāvabodhādvikalpo vikalpābhisaṃskāreṇa pravartate nānabhisaṃskurvataḥ | cittavikalpabhāvābhāvavigamāllaukikalokottaratamānāṃ sarvadharmāṇāṃ na nityatā nānityatā | svacittadṛśyamātrānavabodhātkudṛṣṭyāntadvayapatitayā saṃtatyā sarvatīrthakaraiḥ svavikalpānavabodhātkathāpuruṣairasiddhapūrvairanityatā kalpyate | trividhaṃ ca mahāmate sarvatīrthakaralauikikalokottaratamānāṃ sarvadharmāṇāṃ lakṣaṇaṃ vāgvikalpaviniḥsṛtānām | na ca bālapṛthagjanā avabudhyante ||



tatredamucyate-

prārambhavinivṛttiṃ ca saṃsthānasyānyathātvatām |

bhāvamanityatāṃ rūpaṃ tīrthyāḥ kalpenti mohitāḥ || 118 ||

bhāvānāṃ nāsti vai nāśaṃ bhūtā bhūtātmanā sthitāḥ |

nānādṛṣṭinimagnāste tīrthyāḥ kalpenti nityatām || 119 ||

kasyacinna hi tīrthyasya vināśo na ca saṃbhavaḥ |

bhūtā bhūtātmanā nityāḥ kasya kalpentyanityatām || 120 ||

cittamātramidaṃ sarvaṃ dvidhā cittaṃ pravartate |

grāhyagrāhakabhāvena ātmātmīyaṃ na vidyate || 121 ||

brahmādisthānaparyantaṃ cittamātraṃ vadāmyaham |

cittamātravinirmuktaṃ brahmādirnopalabhyate || 122 ||
