ukto vandanādividhiḥ | tena puṇyavṛddhirbhavatīti kuto gamyate? āryāvalokanasūtrāt |

evaṃ hi tatroktam-



varjayatyakṣaṇānyaṣṭau ya ime deśitā mayā |

kṣaṇaṃ cārāgayatyekaṃ buddhotpādaṃ suśobhanam ||

varṇavān rūpasaṃpanno lakṣaṇaiḥ samalaṃkṛtaḥ |

sthāmnā balena copeto nāsau kausīdyamṛcchati |

āḍhayo mahādhanaścāsau adhṛṣyaḥ puṇyavānapi |

ārāgya lokapradyotaṃ satkaroti punaḥ punaḥ ||

śreṣṭhīkuleṣu sphīteṣu sa āḍhayeṣūpapadyate |

bhaveddānapatiḥ śūro muktatyāgo hyamatsarī ||

rājā bhaveddhārmiko'sau catudvīpeśvaraḥ prabhuḥ |

praśāsayenmahīṃ kṛtsnāṃ samudragirikuṇḍalām ||

maharddhikaścakravartī saptaratnasamanvitaḥ |

rājye pratiṣṭhito buddhān satkaroti punaḥ punaḥ ||

cyutaścāsmādgataḥ svarga prasanno jinaśāsane

śakro bhavati devendraḥ īścaro merumūrdhani ||

na śakyaṃ bhāṣatā varṇaṃ kṣapayituṃ kalpakoṭibhiḥ |

yaḥ stupaṃ lokanāthasya naraḥ kuryātpradakṣiṇam ||

na jātu so'ndhaḥ khañjo vā kalpānāmapi koṭibhiḥ |

utpādya bodhicittaṃ yaḥ śāstuḥ stūpaṃ hi vandate ||

dṛḍhavīryo dṛḍhasthāmo vīraśca dṛḍhavikramaḥ |

kauśalyaṃ gacchati kṣipraṃ kṛtvā stūpapradakṣiṇam ||

yo buddhakoṭiniyutaśatasahastrān

kalpāna koṭī ca tuliya satkareyā |

yaśceha kalpe caramaka ghorakāle

vandeya stūpaṃ bahutara tasya puṇyam ||

agro hi buddho atuliya dakṣiṇīyo

agrāṃ caritvā cariyaviśeṣaprāptaḥ |

tasyeha pūjāṃ kariya narariṣabhasya

vipāka śreṣṭho bhavati atulyarūpaḥ ||

itaścyutvā manuṣyebhyastrāyastriṃśeṣu gacchati |

vimānaṃ labhate tatra vicitraṃ ratanāmayam ||

kūṭāgāraṃ svayaṃ datvā apsarogaṇasevitaḥ |

mālāṃ stūpe saṃpradāya trāyastriṃśeṣu jāyate ||



aṣṭāṅgajalasaṃpūrṇāṃ suvarṇasikatāśritām |

vaiḍūryasphaṭikaiścaiva divyāṃ puṣkariṇīṃ labhet ||

bhuktvā ca tāṃ ratiṃ divyāṃ āyuḥ saṃpūrya paṇḍitaḥ |

cyutvā ca devalokātsa manuṣyo bhavati bhogavān ||

jātikoṭisahastrāṇi śatāni niyutāni ca |

satkṛtaḥ syācca sarvatra caitye mālāṃ pradāya ca ||

cakravartī ca rājāsau śakraśca bhavatīśvaraḥ |

brahmā ca brahmalokasmin caitye mālāṃ pradāya ca ||

paṭṭapradānaṃ datvā tu lokanāthasya tāyinaḥ |

sarve'syārthāḥ samṛdhyanti ye divyā ye ca mānuṣāḥ |

[ tyajeddhīnānakuśalān na sa tatropapadyate |]

mālāvihāraṃ kṛtvā ca lokanāthasya dhātuṣu |

abhedyaparivāreṇa rājā bhūyānmaharddhikaḥ ||

priyaḥ sa dayitaścāsau satkṛtaśca praśaṃsitaḥ |

devānāmatha nāgānāṃ ye loke'smiṃśca paṇḍitāḥ ||

yatrāsau jāyate vīraḥ puṇyateja sudīpitaḥ |

te kulāḥ satkṛtā bhonti rāṣṭrāṇi nagarāṇi ca ||

yaḥ sarṣapāt sūkṣmataraṃ gṛhītvā dhūpeya dhūpaṃ bhagavati caityakeṣu |

tasyānuśaṃsān śṛṇuta prabhāṣato me

prasannacittā jahiya khilāṃ malāṃśca ||

sa puṇyavāṃścarati diśaḥ samantā-

dārogyaprāpto dṛḍhamatirapramattaḥ |

vineti śokaṃ vicarati cārikāyāṃ

priyo manāpo bhavati mahājanasya ||

rājyaṃ ca labdhvā jinavaru satkarotī

mahānubhāvo vidu cakravartī |

suvarṇavarṇo vicitralakṣaṇaiḥ sa

manojñagandhān labhi sarvaloke |

jātamātro labhate śreṣṭhavastrān

divyaviśiṣṭa surucira kauśikāṃśca ||

bhotī sukhasukāyaḥ saṃveṣṭaya stūpaṃ nāthasya cīvaraiḥ |

yaścīvareṇa caityeṣu kuryāt pūjāmatulāṃ nāyakānām |

tasyeha bhotī asadṛśu ātmabhāvo

dvātriṃśatībhiḥ kavacita lakṣaṇebhiḥ ||

pāṇītaleṣu surucira muktahārāḥ

prādurbhavantī vividha anantakalpāḥ |

siṃhalatāḥ suruciravarṇasūtrā

veṭhitva stūpaṃ bhagavata cīvarebhiḥ ||

datvā patākāṃ bhagavata cetikeṣū

chandaṃ janitvā tatha siya buddhaloke |

sa pūjanīyo bhavati mahājanasya

carantu śreṣṭho jinacārikāye ||

suvarṇavarṇo bhavati si ātmabhāvo

lābhī sa bhotī suruciracīvarāṇām |

karpāsikānāṃ susahitakambalānāṃ

dukūlakānāṃ tatha varakauśakānām ||

dhvajaṃ daditvā hataraji sattvasāre

dhanaṃ prabhūtaṃ pratilabhi nacireṇa |

prabhūtakoṣo bhavati anantaprajño

paricāru tasya bhavatyadīnacittaḥ |

na cittaśūlaṃ janayati so parasya

prasādacittaḥ sada apramattaḥ ||

na tasya agniḥ kramati viṣāṃ na śastraṃ

udvīkṣaṇīyo bhavati mahājanasya |

adho upādāya ca vibhavāgru yāvat

jāmbūnadaṃ tena bhavati buddhakṣetram ||

śakyaṃ kṣayetuṃ āyu śriya evarūpā

na buddhastūpe dharayata ekadīpam ||

na tasya kāyo bhavati avarṇitāṅgo

dṛḍhāṃsu bhotī parighabhujo achambhī |

ālokaprāpto vicarati sarvaloke

daditva dīpaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

yadi buddhakṣetrā niyutaśatā sahastrā

bhaveyu pūrṇā śikhagatasarṣapebhiḥ |

śakyaṃ gaṇetuṃ tulayitu bhāṣituṃ vā

na tathāgateṣū dharayitu ekadīpam ||

alaṃkaritvā suruciradarśanīyaṃ

yo deti chatraṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu |

tasyeha bhotyasadṛśa ātmabhāvo

dvātriṃśatībhiḥ kavacita lakṣaṇebhiḥ ||

yebhirjinasya pratapata ātmabhāvo

rūpaṃ viśiṣṭaṃ yathariva kāñcanasya |

jāmbūnado vā suruciradarśanīyā

abhikīrṇa [puṣpebhi] kusumita lakṣaṇebhiḥ ||

abhijñaprāpto bhavati mahāyaśākhyaḥ

carati śreṣṭhāvaracārikāyām |

na bhogahānirbhavati kadācidasya

devāna bhoti gurukṛta pūjitaśca ||

na kāmabhogai ramati kadāci dhīro |

viśuddhaśīlaḥ sakuśalabrahmacaryaḥ |

samādayitvā vanupavane uṣitvā

'bhiyuktidhyāno bhavati viśeṣaprāptaḥ ||

na jñānahānirbhavati kadācidasya

bodhicittaṃ vijahati so kathaṃcit |

maitrīvihārī bhavati adīnacitto

datveha chatraṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

vādyena pūjāṃ naravṛṣabhasya kṛtvā

na śokaśalyavaśa jātu bhoti |

manojñaghoṣo bhavati manuṣyaloke

svarāṅgu tasyāvikala[vi] śuddha bhoti ||

viśuddhacakṣurbhavati sa saṃprajanyā

viśuddhaśrotro bhavati udagracittaḥ |

ghrāṇendriyaṃ parama uttapta bhoti

vāditva vādyaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

jihvāsya bhoti surucira darśanīyā

susūkṣma mṛdvī rucira manojñaghoṣā |

raktā pravālā yathariva devatānāṃ

svarāṅgakoṭīvara sṛjate'prameyām ||

na jātu bhotī uragu ajihvako vā

na khañjakubjo nāpi ca nāmitāṅgaḥ |

viśiṣṭa bhotī surucira ātmabhāvo

vāditva vādyaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu |||

na jātu kaścijjanaye'prasādaṃ

devo ca nāgo manuja mahorago vā |

āśvāsaprāpto vicarati sarvaloke

vāditva vādyaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

kalpāna koṭī niyuta[śatā] sahastraṃ

viśiṣṭakāyo bhavati aninditāṅgaḥ |

prāsādiko'sau kavacita lakṣaṇebhiḥ

saṃśodhya stūpaṃ bhagavata nirvṛtasya ||

vimāna śreṣṭhaṃ labhati manojñagandhaṃ

divyaṃ viśiṣṭaṃ suruciracandanasya |

na jātu tṛṣṇāṃ janayati so kadācit

saṃśodhya stūpaṃ bhagavata nirvṛtasya ||

pralopakāle jinavaraśāsanasmin

na jātu bhotī upagata jambudvīpe |

svarge sa bhoti pratiṣṭhita tasmi kāle

gandhānulepaṃ dadiya jinasya stūpe ||

durgandhikāmānaśucijugupsanīyān

varjeti nityaṃ pratiṣṭhita śīlaskandhe |

carī sa nityamimu vara brahmacarya

gandhānulepaṃ kariya jinasya stūpe ||

itaścyuto'sau marupati svargaloke

artha sahastrā tulayati no cireṇa |

karoti cārtha suvipula devatānāṃ

gandhānulepaṃ kariya jinasya stūpe ||

viśiṣṭavākyo bhavati manojñaghoṣaḥ

priyo manāpo bahujanasatkṛtaśca |

sukhaṃ ca tasya bhavati sadā prasannaṃ

gandhānulepaṃ kariya jinasya stūpe ||

apāyabhūmiṃ vijahātyaśeṣāṃ

āsannako bhavati tathāgatānām |

prasādalabdhaḥ sada sukhi premaṇīyo

gandhānulepaṃ kariya jinasya stūpe ||

so akṣaṇaṃ vai vijahāti sarvaṃ

aṣṭa kṣaṇāścāsya viśiṣṭa bhonti |

buddhāna pūjāmatuliya so karoti |

choritva jālaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

śūraśca bhoti dṛḍhamatirapramatto

na kāmabhoge'bhiratiṃ janeti |

naiṣkramyaprāpto ca adīnacittaḥ

choritva jālaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

na bodhicittaṃ pramuṣyati tasya jātu

akhaṇḍaśīlo'sti susaṃvṛtaśca |

dharma virāgaṃ labhate viśuddhaṃ

upanīya jālaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

durvācatāṃ vijahati sarvakālaṃ

prajñāabhāvaṃ ca jahātyaśeṣam |

viśālaprajño viharati cārikāyāṃ

upanīya jālaṃ bhagavata cetikeṣu ||

lābhī ca bhotī śucibhojanānāṃ

vastrān viśiṣṭān labhate suvarṇān |

sparśābhyupetān rucidarśanīyā-

nupanīya jālaṃ jinacetikebhyaḥ ||

abhyutkṣipitvā jinacetikebhyaḥ

nirmālya śuṣkaṃ pramuditavegajātaḥ |

vrajeta kāmān duḥkhadavairaghorān

ārāgayeddaśabalasārthavāhān ||

prāsādiko bhoti viśuddhakāyaḥ

udvīkṣaṇīyo bahujanapūjanīyaḥ |

na tasya rājāpi praduṣṭacittaḥ

yo jīrṇapuṣpānapaneya caitye ||

kumārga sarvaṃ pithita apāyabhūmiḥ

sa śīlaskandhe sthita bodhisattvaḥ |

avatārayitvā jinacetikebhyaḥ

puṣpaṃ ca prāganyanaraiḥ pradattam ||

śokāṃśca doṣān vijahātyamatto

rogānaśeṣān vijahātyanekān |

āśvāsaprāptaśca anantakalpān

yo jīrṇapuṣpānapaneti caitye ||

buddhaśca bhotyasadṛśadakṣiṇīyo

atulyaprāpto naramarupūjanīyaḥ |

alaṃkṛto bhavati viśuddhakāyaḥ

yo jīrṇapuṣpānapaneti caitye ||

dadyācca yaḥ surucira divya puṣpaṃ

māndāravānapyatha pāṭalaṃ vā |

nirmālyakaṃ yo'panayeta caitye

vipāka śreṣṭho'sya bhavedatulyaḥ ||

yaḥ prāñjaliḥ praṇamati nāthastūpaṃ

chandaṃ janitvā ca sa buddhaloke |

so bhoti loke gurukṛtu satkṛtaśca

prāsādiko bhavati sudarśanīyaḥ ||

tasyeha rājyaṃ nipatati sarvaloko

devāsurā nāgamanuṣyakāśca |

sarvāḥ sahastrāḥ kusumita lokadhātuḥ

praśāsti rājño vaśa īścarāṃśca ||

ye tasya rājye sthita bhonti sattvāḥ

sthāpeya sarvānukaluṣa buddhajñāne |

apāyabhūmyastyaktā bhavanti

karoti caiṣāṃ paramasuśreṣṭhamartham ||

paricāro'sya bhavati manojñaghoṣaḥ

puṇyairupetaḥ smṛtimatipūjanīyaḥ |

āśvāsaprāpto vicaratī jīvaloke

sadābhiprāyaṃ janayati śreṣṭhaprītim ||

paricāra bhotyasya svarāṅgaśuddhaḥ

jñāyeta sattvairmadhura praśāntavākyaḥ |

na tasya kaścijjanayati ceśvaratvaṃ

vilokanīyo bhavati mahājanasya ||

dānapramodaṃ priyatārthacaryāṃ samānārthatāṃ janayati mahājanasya |

ākruṣṭaḥ sanno janayeta roṣaṃ

yaḥ prāñjaliḥ praṇamati buddhastūpam ||

devendra bhotyupagata svargaloke

manuṣyako bhavati narasya rājā |

na pārihāṇirbhavati kadācidasya

yo añjalībhirnamatīha stūpam ||

nāsāvapāye prapateta jātu

hīnāṃśca varjeta sa kāma loke |

āḍhayo dhanī bhoti prabhūtakoṣo

yo'ñjalībhirnamatiha buddhastūpam ||

sūtrāntacaryā na kadācidasya

nāsthānakopaṃ kurute nṛloke |

sattvāśca tṛptā muditāsya bhonti

yaḥ saṃpramuñcī guṇavati ekavācam ||

yaḥ puṣpamuṣṭiṃ gṛhītvodagracittaḥ

prasādato'vakirati lokanāthe |

sa puṇyavān bhavati manuṣyaloke

rākṣe ca sthitvā jina satkaroti ||

śokā na doṣāḥ khilamala nāsya bhonti

atulyatāptaśca susaṃsthitāṅgaḥ |

ālokanīyaśca mahājanasya

vrajeta kāmān bhayakara vairaghorān || iti ||



āryamahākaruṇā[puṇḍarīka] sūtre'pyuktam- tiṣṭhatu tāvadānanda yo māṃ saṃmukhaṃ satkuryāt

tiṣṭhatu me śarīrasya pūjā sarṣapaphalamātreṣu dhātuṣu | tiṣṭhatu māmuddiśya kṛteṣu stūpeṣu satkāraḥ | ye kecidānanda buddhamālambya antaśa ekapuṣpamapyākāśe kṣepsyanti, tasya puṇyaskandhasya yo vipākaḥ, sacedyāvānanādiḥ saṃsāro yasya pūrvā koṭirna prajñāyate, tāvataḥ kalpān saṃsaratāṃ teṣāṃ śakratvaṃ brahmatvaṃ cakravartitvam, na śakyastatparyanto'dhigantum | tiṣṭhatu buddhālambanatā antaśa ākāśe'pyekapuṣpanikṣepaḥ, sacedantaśaḥ svaprāntaragatā api sattvā buddhamālambya ākāśe ekapuṣpamapi kṣepsyanti, tadapyahaṃ kuśalamūlaṃ nirvāṇaparyavasānaṃ vadāmīti ||



uktaṃ ca āryavṛhatsāgaranāgarājaparipṛcchāyām- aṣṭābhirbhujagādhipate dharmaiḥ samanvāgatā bodhisattvāḥ satatasamitaṃ buddhasamavadhānaṃ pratilabhante | katamairaṣṭābhiḥ? buddhabimbadarśanasattvasamādāpanatayā | tathāgatapratimākaraṇatayā | tathāgatasyābhīkṣṇaṃ varṇabhāṣaṇatayā | tathāgatadarśanasarvasattvasamādāpanatayā | yatra ca buddhakṣetre tathāgataśravaṃ śṛṇvanti, tatra praṇidhānamutpādayanti | nacāvalīnasaṃtatayo bhavanti | udārasaṃtatikāśca buddhajñānamabhilaṣante iti ||



kiṃ punaḥ puṇyavṛddhayarthino buddhasamavadhānena prayojanabhūtam, yasya guṇaparyantamasarvajño nādhigacchet | yathā āryagaṇḍavyūhe saṃvarṇitam-

sudurlabho buddhaśabdaḥ kalpakoṭiśatairapi |

kiṃ punardarśanaṃ sarvakāṅkṣācchedanamuttamam ||

sudṛṣṭo lokapradyotaḥ sarvadharmagatiṃ gataḥ |

puṇyatīrthaṃ trailokasya sarvasattvaviśodhanam ||

mahatpuṇyamayaṃ kṣetramuditaṃ jñānamaṇḍalam |

bhāsayatyamitaṃ lokaṃ puṇyaskandhavivardhanam ||

chedano duḥkhajālasya jñānaskandhaviśodhanaḥ |

na durgatibhayaṃ teṣāṃ yairihārāgito jinaḥ ||

vipulaṃ jāyate cittaṃ paśyatāṃ dvipadottamam |

prajñābalamasaṃkhyepaṃ jāyate candrabhāsvaram ||



punaratraivāha-



arthāya sarvasattvānāmutpadyante tathāgatāḥ |

mahākāruṇikā vīrā dharmacakrapravartakāḥ ||

pratikartuṃ kathaṃ śakyaṃ buddhānāṃ sarvadehibhiḥ |

sattvārtheṣvabhiyuktānāṃ kalpakoṭiśatairapi ||

kalpakoṭiṃ varaṃ pakkaṃ tryapāye bhṛśadāruṇe |

na tvevādarśanaṃ śāstuḥ sarvasaṅganivartinaḥ |

yāvantyaḥ sarvalokasminnapāyagatayaḥ pṛthak |

varaṃ tatra ciraṃ vāso buddhānāmaśrutirna ca ||

kiṃ kāraṇamapāyeṣu nivāsaściramiṣyate |

yatkāraṇaṃ jinendrasya darśanaṃ jñānavardhanam ||

chidyante sarvaduḥkhāṇi dṛṣṭvā lokeśvaraṃ jinam |

saṃbhavatyavatāraśca jñāne saṃbuddhagocare ||

kṣapayatyāvṛtīḥ sarvā dṛṣṭvā buddhaṃ narottamam |

vardhayatyamitaṃ puṇyaṃ yena bodhiravāpyate || iti ||



tadevamasti puṇyavṛddhau buddhasamavadhānena prayojanam | api ca pratimāmātradarśanamapi tāvadaparimitaphalaṃ tathāgatānām, kiṃ punaḥ svarūpeṇa? uktaṃ hi āryaśraddhābalādhānāvatāramudrāsūtre-



yaḥ kaścinmañjuśrīḥ kulaputraḥ kuladuhitā vā sarvalokadhāturajopamānāṃ pratyekabuddhānāṃ dine dine śatarasamāhāraṃ dadyāt divyāni ca vastrāṇi, evaṃ dadadgaṅgānadīvālukopamān kalpān dadyāt | yaścānyo mañjuśrīḥ kulaputraḥ kuladuhitā vā citrakarmalikhitaṃ vā pustakakarmakṛtaṃ vā buddhaṃ paśyet, ayaṃ tato'saṃkhyeyataraṃ puṇyaṃ prasavati | kaḥ punarvādo yo'ñjalipragrahaṃ vā kuryāt, puṣpaṃ vā dadyāt, dhūpaṃ vā gandhaṃ vā dīpaṃ vā dadyāt | ayameva tato'saṃkhyeyataraṃ puṇyaṃ prasavatīti ||



āryabodhisattvapiṭake'pi puṇyavṛddhayupāya uktaḥ- yastathāgatacaityaṃ śodhayati, sa catastro'grāḥ praṇidhānaviśuddhīranuprāpnoti | katamāścatastraḥ? agrāṃ rūpapraṇidhānaviśuddhim, agrāṃ dṛḍhasamādānapraṇidhānaviśuddhim, agrāṃ tathāgatadarśanapraṇidhānaviśuddhim, agrāṃ lakṣaṇasaṃpatpraṇidhānaviśuddhimiti ||



punaratraivākhyātam- tathāgatacaityeṣu puṣpāvaropaṇaṃ gandhānulepanaṃ kṛtvā aṣṭāvavikalatā anuprāpnoti | katamā aṣṭau? na rūpavikalo bhavati | na bhogavikalaḥ | na parivāravikalaḥ | na śīlavikalaḥ | na samādhivikalaḥ | na śrutavikalaḥ | na prajñāvikala | na praṇidhānavikalaḥ | iti ||



uktaṃ ca āryaratnarāśisūtre- ye tribhavaparyāpannāḥ sattvāste sarve pratyekaṃ tathāgatastūpān kārayeyurevaṃrūpānuccaistvena tadyathā sumeruḥ parvatarājaḥ | tāṃśca gaṅgānadīvālikāsamān kalpān pratyekaṃ sarvasattkāraiḥ satkuryuḥ | yaśca bodhisattvo'virahitasarvajñatācittainaikapuṣpamapyāropayet, ayaṃ tasmātpūrvakātpuṇyaskandhādbahutaraṃ puṇyaṃ prasavet ||



atraivoktam- ye khalu punastrisāhastramahāsāhastre lokadhātau sattvāste sarve mahāyānasaṃprasthitā bhaveyuḥ | sarve ca cakravartirājyasamanvāgatā bhaveyuḥ | ekaikaśca rājā cakravartī mahāsamudrapramāṇa dīpasthālīṃ kṛtvā sumerumātrāṃ vartīmādīpya pratyekamevaṃrūpāṃ dīpapūjāṃ tathāgatacaityeṣu pravartayet | yaśca abhiniṣkrāntagṛhāvāso bodhisattvastailaprakṣiptāṃ vartī kṛtvā ādīpya tathāgatacaitye dhārayet, asyāstailaprakṣiptāyā varteretatpūrvakaṃ pradīpadānaṃ śatatamīmapi kalāṃ nopaiti | yāvadupaniṣadamapi na kṣamata iti | peyālaṃ | ye ca khalu punaste rājānaścakravartino buddhapramukhaṃ bhikṣusaṃghaṃ sarvasukhopadhānaiḥ satkuryuḥ, yaścābhiniṣkrāntagṛhāvāso bodhisattvaḥ piṇḍapātraṃ caritvā pātraparyāpannaṃ pareṣāṃ saṃvibhajya paribhuñjīta, idaṃ tato bahutaraṃ ca mahārghataraṃ ca | yacca te rājānaścakravartinaḥ sumerumātraṃ cīvararāśiṃ buddhapramukhāya bhikṣusaṃghāya dadyuḥ, yaccābhiniṣkrāntagṛhāvāso bodhisattvastricīvaraṃ bahirdhā mahāyānasaṃprasthitāya buddhapramukhāya bhikṣusaṃghāya vā tathāgatacaitye vā dadyāt, idaṃ bhikṣoścīvaradānametatpūrvakacīvararāśimabhibhavati | yacca te rājānaḥ pratyekaṃ sarvaṃ jambūdvīpaṃ puṣpasaṃstṛtaṃ kṛtvā tathāgatacaitye niryātayet, yaccābhiniṣkrāntagṛhāvāso bodhisattvaḥ antaśa ekapuṣpamapi tathāgatacaitye āropayet, asya dānasyaitat pūrvakaṃ dānaṃ śatamīmapi kalāṃ nopaiti, yāvadupaniṣadamapi nopaitīti ||



āryānupūrvasamudgataparivarte'pi deśitam- catura imān bhadrānuśaṃsān paśyan bodhisattvastathāgatapūjāyāmutsuko bhavati | katamāṃścaturaḥ? agraśca me dakṣiṇīyaḥ pūjito bhaviṣyati, māṃ ca dṛṣṭvā anye'pi tathā śikṣiṣyanti, tathāgataṃ ca pūjayitvā bodhicittaṃ dṛḍhaṃ bhaviṣyati, dvātriṃśatāṃ ca mahāpuruṣalakṣaṇānāṃ saṃmukhadarśanena kuśalamūlamupacittaṃ bhaviṣyati | imāścatvāraḥ [iti] ||



idaṃ ca niruttaraṃ tathāgatapūjopasthānam | yathodāhṛtamāryasāgaramatiparipṛcchāsūtre-trīṇīmāni sāgaramate tathāgatasya niruttarāṇi pūjopasthānāni | katamāni trīṇi? yacca bodhicittamutpādayati | yacca saddharma parigṛhṇāti | yacca sattveṣu mahākaruṇācittamutpādayatīti ||



nirdiṣṭamapyāryaratnameghe- daśabhiḥ kulaputra dharmeḥ samanvāgatā bodhisattvā ananuliptā garbhamalena jāyante | katamairdaśabhiḥ? yaduta tathāgatapratimākaraṇatayā jīrṇacaityasaṃskaraṇatayā | tathāgatacaityeṣu gandhavilepanānupradānena | tathāgatapratibhāsu gandhodakasnānānupradānena | tathāgatacaityeṣu saṃmārjanopalepanānupradānena | mātāpitṝṇāṃ kāyaparicaryācaraṇena | ācāryopādhyāyānāṃ kāyaparicaryācaraṇena | sabrahmacāriṇāṃ kāyaparicaryācaraṇena | tacca nirāmiṣeṇa cittena na sāmiveṇa | tacca kuśalamevaṃ pariṇāmayanti- anena kuśalamūlena sarvasattvā nirupaliptā garbhamalena jāyantāmiti | tacca tīvreṇāśayena cintayanti | ebhiḥ kulaputra daśabhirdharmairiti ||



anumodanānuśaṃsāstvāryaprajñāpāramitāyāmuktāḥ- yaḥ prathamayānasaṃprasthitānāṃ bodhisattvānāṃ mahāsattvānāṃ tāścittotpādānanumodate, caratāmapi bodhisatvacaryā tāṃścittotpādānanumodate, avinivartanīyāmapi avinivartanīyadharmatāmanumodate bodhisattvānāṃ mahāsattvānām, kiyantaṃ sa bhagavan kulaputro vā kuladuhitā vā bahutaraṃ puṇyaskandhaṃ prasavati? evamukte bhagavān śakraṃ devānāmindrametadavocat-syātkhalu punaḥ kauśika trisāhastramahāsāhastrasya lokadhātoḥ palāgreṇa tulyamānasya pramāṇamudragrahītum, na tveva kauśika bodhisattvasya mahāsattvasya teṣāmanumodanāsahagatānāṃ cittotpādānāṃ puṇyapramāṇaṃ grahītum | evamukte śakro devānāmindro bhagavantametadavocat- mārādhiṣṭhitāste bhagavan sattvā veditavyāḥ, ye bodhisattvānāṃ mahāsattvānāṃ prathamacittotpādamupādāya yāvadanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhānāmevamaprameyamanumodanāsahagataṃ puṇyamiti na śṛṇvanti na jānanti, tāmanumodanāṃ na samanvāharanti, mārapakṣikāste bhagavan sattvā bhaviṣyanti | bhagavānāha - yaiḥ kauśika kulaputraiḥ kuladuhitṛbhiśceme cittotpādā anumoditā bodhisattvayānikairvā pratyekabuddhayānikairvā śrāvakayānikairvā, te kṣipraṃ tathāgatānarhataḥ samyaksaṃbuddhānārāgayiṣyanti | bhagavānāha - evaṃ tairanumodanāsahagataiścittotpādakuśalamūlairyatra yatropapatsyante, tatra tatra satkṛtāśca bhaviṣyanti, gurukṛtāśca mānitāśca pūjitāśca arcitāśca apacāyitāśca bhaviṣyanti | na ca te amanaāpāni rūpāṇi drakṣyanti | na ca te amanaāpān śabdān śroṣyanti | evaṃ na gandhānna rasānna spraṣṭavyān sprakṣyanti | na ca teṣāmapāyeṣūpapattiḥ pratikāṅkṣitavyā | svargopapattisteṣāṃ pratikāṅkṣitavyā | tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi taiḥ satvaiḥ sarvasattvasukhāvahāni asaṃkhyeyānāṃ satvānāṃ kuśalamūlānyanumoditāni, yāvadanuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbuddhaya aprameyāsaṃkhyeyān sattvān parinirvāpayiṣyantīti ||



punaratraivāha- ye subhūte gaṅgānadīvālikopameṣu trisāhastramahāsāhastreṣu lokadhātuṣu sarvasattvāste sarve'nuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhiṃ pratitiṣṭheyuḥ, anuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhiṃ pratiṣṭhāya gaṅgānadīvālikāsamān kalpānupalambhasaṃjñinaścatvāri dhyānāni samāpadyeran, yaśca bodhisattvo mahāsattvo'nayā prajñāpāramitayā upāyakauśalyena ca parigṛhīto'tītānāgatapratyutpannānāṃ buddhānāṃ bhagavatāṃ śīlasamādhiprajñāvimuktivimuktijñānadarśanaskandham, śrāvakāṇāṃ pratyekabuddhānāmapi śīlasamādhiprajñāvimuktivimuktijñānadarśanaskandhaṃ sarvamekato'bhisaṃkṣipya piṇḍayitvā tulayitvā niravaśeṣamanumodeta agrayāanumodanayā jyeṣṭhayā śreṣṭhayā varayā pravarayā praṇītayā uttarayā niruttarayā uttarottarayā asamayā asamasamayā apratisamayā anumodanayānumodya anumodanāsahagataṃ puṇyakriyāvastu anuttarāyai samyaksaṃbodhaye pariṇāmayati | asya subhūte anumodanāsahagatasya puṇyakriyāvastuno'sau pūrvaka aupalambhikānāṃ bodhisatvānāṃ caturdhyānamayaḥ puṇyābhisaṃskāraḥ śatatamīmapi kalāṃ nopaiti, yāvadupaniṣadamapi na kṣamate iti ||



ayameva nayaḥ pariṇāmanāyāmuktaḥ | athavā agrapariṇāmanayā pariṇāmitatvātsarvapuṇyānāmasya buddhatvāya satkṛtapraṇidhibuddhatvameva syāt | ataḥ kā parā puṇyavṛddhiḥ? taddhi aśeṣasattvamokṣakṛtapuṇyajñānopetaṃ nirvikalpaṃ ca ||



adhyeṣaṇāyāstvanuśaṃsā āryograparipṛcchāyāmuktāḥ- dharmagrāhyatāmupādāya aprameyāsaṃkhyeyeṣu buddhakṣetreṣvāyuḥ parirakṣaṇāyeti ||
