tadevamaraṇye vasan
samādhānāya yujyeta
uktaṃ hi bhagavatyām- sa teṣāmeva sattvānāmarthāya dhyānapāramitāyāṃ carannavikṣiptacitto bhavati | tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hyasyaivaṃ - bhavati laukikī dhyānopapattirapi tāvadvikṣiptacittasya durlabhā, kaḥ punarvādo'nuttarā samyaksaṃbodhiḥ | tasmānmayā avikṣiptacittena bhavitavyam, yāvannānuttarāṃ samyaksaṃbodhimabhisaṃbudhyeyamiti ||
punarasyāmuktam- punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prathamacittotpādamupādāya dhyānapāramitāyāṃ caran sarvākārajñatāpratisaṃyuktairmanasikārairdhyānaṃ samāpadyate | sa cakṣuṣā rūpāṇi dṛṣṭvā na nimittagrāhī bhavati nānuvyañjanagrāhī | yatodhikaraṇamasya cakṣurindriyeṇāsaṃvarasaṃvṛtasya viharato'bhidhyādaurmanasye anye vā pāpakā akuśalā dharmāścittamanuprāpnuyuḥ, teṣāṃ saṃvarāya pratipadyate | rakṣati cakṣurindriyam | evaṃ śrotreṇa śabdān śrutvā, ghrāṇena gandhān ghrātvā, jihvayā rasānāsvādya, kāyena spraṣṭavyāni spṛṣṭvā, manasā dharmān vijñāya na nimittagrāhī bhavati, nānuvyañjanagrāhī | yatodhikaraṇamasya manaindriyeṇāsaṃvarasaṃvṛtasya pāpakāścittamanuprāpnuyuḥ, teṣāṃ saṃvarāya pratipadyate | rakṣati manaindriyam | sa gacchannapi tiṣṭhannapi niṣaṇṇo'pi śayāno'pi bhāṣamāṇo'pi samāhitāvasthāṃ [na] vijahāti | sa bhavatyahastalolaḥ apādalolo'mukhalolo'prakīrṇavāk avikṣiptendriyo'nuddhato'nunnato'capalo'nalaso'saṃbhrāntakāyo'saṃbhrāntacittaḥ | śāntakāyaḥ śāntavāk śāntacittaḥ | rahasyarahasi kā kalpiteryāpathaḥ saṃtuṣṭaḥ || pe|| subharaḥ supoṣaḥ sūpāsyakalyāṇācāragocaraḥ | saṃgaṇikayāpi vivekagocaraḥ | lābhe'lābhe ca samo nirvikāraḥ | anunnato'navanataḥ | evaṃ sukhe duḥkhe, stutau nindāyām, yaśasyayaśasi, jīvite maraṇe ca samo nirvikāro'nunnato'navanataḥ | evaṃ śatrau mitre ca | manāpavartini | āryeṣvanāryeṣu | śavdeṣu saṃkīrṇeṣvasaṃkīrṇeṣu | priyāpriyeṣu ca rūpeṣu samo nirvikāraḥ | anunnato'navanataḥ anurodhavirodhāpagataḥ | tatkasya hetoḥ? tathā hi sa svalakṣaṇaśūnyānasaṃbhūtānaniṣpannānanabhinirvṛttān sarvadharmān paśyatīti vistaraḥ ||
tatra līne manasi muditābhāvanayottejanaṃ kuryāt, uddhate tvanityatāmanasikāraiḥ praśamaḥ ||
ubhayapratipakṣārthaṃ cāryarāṣṭrapāloktāṃ gāthāṃ smaret-
bahukalpakoṭībhi kadāci buddho
utpadyate lokahito maharṣī |
labdho'dhunā sa pravaraḥ kṣaṇo'dya
tyajati pramādaṃ yadi moktukāmaḥ |iti ||
tathā- māyopamaṃ vitathametatsvapnopamaṃ ca saṃskṛtamavekṣya na cirādbhaviṣyati viyogaḥ sarvapriyaiḥ, na nityamiha kaścit | udyujya yathā ghaṭata nityaṃ pāramitāsu bhūmiṣu baleṣu | mā jātu sraṃsaya vīryaṃ yāvanna budhyathā pravarabodhim | iti ||
āryalalitavistare'pyuktam-
jvalitaṃ tribhavaṃ jaravyādhidukhairmaraṇāgnipradīptamanāthamidam |
bhavaniḥ saraṇe sada mūḍha jagadbhramati bhramaro yatha kumbhagataḥ ||
adhruvaṃ tribhavaṃ śaradabhranibhaṃ naṭaraṅgasamā jagi janmacyutiḥ |
girinadyasamaṃ laghuśīghrajavaṃ vrajatāyu jage yatha vidyu nabhe ||
bhuvi devapure triapāyapathe bhavatṛṣṇaavidyavaśā janatā |
parivartiṣu pañcagatiṣvabudhā yatha kumbhakarasya hi cakrabhramī ||
priyarūpavaraiḥ sada snigdharutaiḥ śubhagandharasairvarasparśasukhaiḥ |
pariṣiktamidaṃ kalipāśajagat mṛgalubdhakapāśi yathaiva kapi ||
sabhayāḥ saraṇāḥ sada vairakarāḥ bahuśokaupadrava kāmaguṇāḥ |
asidhārasamā viṣapatranibhāḥ jahitāryajanairyatha mīḍhaghaṭaḥ |
smṛtimoṣakarāstamasīkaraṇā bhayahetukarā dukhamūla sadā |
bhavatṛṣṇalatāyavivṛddhikarāḥ sabhayāḥ saraṇāḥ sada kāmaguṇāḥ ||
yatha agnikhadā jvalitāḥ sabhayāḥ tatha kāma ime viditāryajanaiḥ |
mahapaṅkasamā asiśūlasamā madhudigdha iva kṣuradhārasamā ||
yatha sarpaśiro yatha mīḍhaghaṭaḥ tatha kāma ime viditā viduṣām |
tatha śūlasamā dvijapeśisamā yatha śvānakaraṃka savairamukhā ||
dakacandranibhā iti kāmaguṇāḥ pratibimba ivā girighoṣa yathā |
pratibhāsasamā naṭaraṅganibhā tatha svapnasamā viditāryajanaiḥ ||
kṣaṇikā vasikā iti kāmaguṇāḥ tatha māyamarīcisamā alikā |
dakabudbudaphenasamā vitathāḥ parikalpasamutthita buddha budhaiḥ ||
prathame vayase vararūpadharaḥ priya iṣṭa mato iya bālacarī |
jaravyādhidukhairhatatejavapuṃ vijahanti mṛgā iva śuṣkanadīm ||
dhanadhānyavaro bahudravyabalī priya iṣṭa mato iya bālacarī |
parihīṇadhanaṃ puna kṛcchragataṃ vijahanti narā iva śūnyaṭavīm ||
yatha puṣpadrumo saphalo va drumo naru dānaratastatha prītikaraḥ |
dhanahīnu jarārditu yācanako bhavate tada apriya gṛdhrasamaḥ ||
prabhu dravyabalī vararūpadharaḥ priyasaṅga manendriyaprītikaraḥ |
jaravyādhidukhārditu kṣīṇadhano bhavate tada apriya mṛtyusamaḥ ||
jarayā jaritaḥ samatītavayo drama vidyuhato va yathā bhavati |
jarajīrṇa agāra yathā sabhayo jaraniḥ saraṇaṃ laghu brūhi mune ||
jara śoṣayate naranārigaṇaṃ yatha mālulatā ghanaśālavanam |
jara vīryaparākramavegaharī jara paṅkanimagna yathā puruṣo ||
jara rūpasurūpavirūpakarī jara tejaharī balasthāmaharī |
sada saukhyaharī paribhāvakarī jara mṛtyukarī jara ojaharī ||
bahurogaśatairghanavyādhidukhaiḥ upasṛṣṭu jagajjvalaneva mṛgāḥ |
jaravyādhigataṃ prasamīkṣya jagat dukhaniḥsaraṇaṃ laghu deśayahī ||
śiśirehi yathā himadhātu mahaṃ tṛṇagulmavanauṣadhiojaharo ||
tatha ojaharo ayu vyādhi jage parihīyati indriyarūpabalam ||
dhanadhānyamahārthakṣayāntakaraḥ paribhāvakaraḥ sada vyādhi jage ||
pratighātakaraḥ priyadveṣakaraḥ paridāhakaro yatha sūryu nabhe ||
maraṇaṃ cyavanaṃ cyuti kālakriyā priyadravyajanena viyogu sadā |
apunāgamanaṃ ca asaṃgamanaṃ drumapatraphalā nadistrotu yathā ||
maraṇaṃ vaśitāna vaśīkurute maraṇaṃ harate nadidāru yathā |
asahāya naro vrajate'dvitiyaḥ svakakarmaphalānugato vivaśaḥ ||
maraṇaṃ grasate bahu prāṇiśatān makaro va jalākari bhūtagaṇān |
garuḍo uragaṃ mṛgarāja gajaṃ jvalano va tṛṇauṣadhibhūtagaṇam ||iti||
rājāvavādakasūtre'pyāha- tadyathā mahārāja catasṛbhyo digbhyaścatvāraḥ parvatā āgaccheyurdṛḍhāḥ sāravanto'khaṇḍā acchidrā asuṣirāḥ susaṃvṛtā ekaghanā nabha[ḥ] spṛśantaḥ pṛthivīṃ collikhantaḥ sarvatṛṇakāṣṭhaśākhāparṇapalāśādisarvasattvaprāṇibhūtāni nirmathnantaḥ | tebhyo na sukaraṃ javena vā palāyituṃ balena vā dravyamantrauṣadhibhirvā nivartayitum, evameva mahārāja catvārīmāni mahābhayānyāgacchanti yeṣāṃ na sukaraṃ javena vā palāyituṃ balena dravyamantrauṣaghairvā nivartanaṃ kartum | katamāni catvāri? jarā vyādhirmaraṇaṃ vipattiśca || jarā mahārāja āgacchati yauvanaṃ pramathamānā | vyādhirmahārāja āgacchatyārogyaṃ prathamamānaḥ | maraṇaṃ āgacchati jīvitaṃ pramathamānam | vipattirmahārāja āgacchati sarvāḥ saṃpattīḥ pramathamānā | tatkasya hetoḥ? tadyathā mahārāja siṃho mṛgarājo rūpasaṃpanno javasaṃpannaḥ sujātanakhadaṃṣṭrākarālo mṛgagaṇamanupraviśya mṛgaṃ gṛhītvā yathākāmakaraṇīyaṃ karoti | sa ca mṛgo'tibalaṃ vyālamukhamāsādya vivaśo bhavati | evameva mahārāja viddhasya mṛtyuśalyenāpagatamadasyāparāyaṇasya marmasu chidyamāneṣu mucyamāneṣu saṃghiṣu māṃsaśoṇite pariśuṣyamāṇe paritaptatṛṣitavihvalavadanasya karacaraṇavikṣepābhiyuktasya akarmaṇyasyāsamarthasya lālāsiṅghāṇakapūyamūtrapurīṣopaliptasya īṣajjīvitāvaśeṣasya karmabhavātpunarbhavamālambamānasya yamapuruṣabhayabhītasya kālarātrivaśagatasya caramāśvāsapraśvāseṣu prarudhyamāneṣu ekākino'dvitīyasyāsahāyasyemaṃ lokaṃ jahataḥ paralokamākrāmato mahāpathaṃ vrajato mahākāntāraṃ praviśato mahāgahanaṃ samavagāhamānasya mahāndhakāraṃ pratipadyamānasya mahārṇavenohyamānasya karmavāyunā hriyamāṇasya animittīkṛtāṃ diśaṃ gacchato nānyattrāṇaṃ nānyaccharaṇaṃ nānyatparāyaṇamṛte dharmāt | dharmo hi mahārāja tasmin samaye trāṇaṃ layanaṃ śaraṇaṃ parāyaṇaṃ bhavati | tadyathā śītārtasyāgnipratāpaḥ, agnimapagatasyānirvāpaṇam, uṣṇārtasya śaityam, adhvānaṃ pratipannasya śītalaṃ chāyopavanam, pipāsitasya śītalajalam, bubhukṣitasya vā praṇītamannam, byādhitasya vaidyoṣadhiparicārakāḥ, bhayabhītasya balavantaḥ sahāyāḥ sādhavaḥ pratiśaraṇā bhavanti, evameva mahārāja viddhasya mṛtyuśalyena apagatamadasyātrāṇasyāparāyaṇasya nānyattrāṇaṃ nānyatparāyaṇamanyatra dharmāt | tasmāttarhi te mahārāja anityatānudarśinā bhavitavyam, kṣayavyayānudarśinā bhavitavyaṃ maraṇabhayabhītena | dharmeṇaiva te mahārāja rājyaṃ kārayitavyaṃ nādharmeṇa | tatkasya hetoḥ? asthāpi te mahārāja, ātmabhāvasyaivaṃ suciramapi parirakṣitasya suciramapi śucinā praṇītena khādanīyabhojanīyāsvādanīyena saṃtarpitasya saṃpravāritasya kṣutpipāsāparigatasya kālakriyā bhaviṣyati | evaṃ kāśikauśeyadūkūlapatrorṇakṣaumādibhirvastraviśeṣairācchāditasya caramaśayanāvasthitasya vividhasvedāmbuklinnamalinavasanāvṛtasya kālakriyā bhaviṣyati | evamapi te mahārāja snānānulepanavāsadhūpapuṣpasurabhigandhasyātmabhāvasya nacireṇa durgandhatā bhaviṣyati | evaṃ stryagāramadhyagatasyāpi te strīgaṇaparivṛtasya nānāvādyagītatūryanāṭayairupagīyamānasya sumanasaḥ krīḍato ramamāṇasya paricārayato maraṇabhayabhītasya atīva duḥkhadaurmanasyābhyāṃ kālakriyā bhaviṣyati | evamapi te mahārāja gṛheṣūpalepanopalipteṣu susthāpitārgaleṣu supihitavātāyaneṣu bahugandhadhūpapuṣpatailavartiprajvāliteṣvāsaktapaṭṭadāmakalāpeṣu muktakusumāvakīrṇeṣu gandhaghaṭikānirdhūpiteṣu vinyastapādapīṭhapaṭikāstaraṇagoṇikastaraṇakācalindikaprāvaraṇasāntaropacchadapaṭikobhayakṛtopadhāneṣu paryaṅkeṣu śayitvā | punaśca śṛgālakākagṛghramṛtakalevaramāṃsāsthikeśarudhiravasākule paramabībhatse śmaśāne gataceṣṭasyātmabhāvaḥ pṛthivyāmavaśaḥ śeṣyate | evamapi te mahārāja gajaskandhāśvapṛṣṭharathābhirūḍhasya śaṅkhapaṭaheṣvāhanyamāneṣu chatreṇa dhāryamāṇena vālavyajanena vīja[ya]mānasyānekahastyaśvarathapadātibhiranuyātasyāñjaliśatasahastrairnamaskriyamāṇasya nirgamanamanubhūya nacirānniśceṣṭasya mṛtaśayanābhirūḍhasya caturbhiḥ puruṣairutkṣiptasya dakṣiṇena nagaradvāreṇa nirṇītasya mātāpitṛbhrātṛbhaginībhāryāputraduhitṛvayasyadāsīdāsakarmakarapauruṣeyaiḥ śokagatahṛdayairvikṣiptabhujaiḥ sorastāḍaṃ paramakaruṇaṃ- hā putra hā nātha hā tāta hā svāmin ityākrandamānaiḥ paurajānapadaiḥ saparibhavadṛśyamānasya śmaśānaṃ nītasya punaḥ kākagṛghraśvaśṛgālādibhirbhakṣitasya tānyasthīnyagninā vā dagdhāni pṛthivyāṃ vā nikhānitāni adbhirvāklinnāni vātātapavarṣairvā cūrṇīkṛtāni digvidikṣu prakṣiptāni tatraiva pūtabhāvamāyāsyanti | evamanityāḥ sarvasaṃskārāḥ, evamadhruvāḥ | iti vistaraḥ ||
tatra kleśaḥ prādhānyena rāgadveṣamohāḥ, yasyaiṣāmekatarasya tāvatpratipakṣamādau bhāvayet, tannidānaṃ ca varjayet ||
tatra āryaratnameghe tāvadāha- sa rāgasya pratipakṣaṃ bhajate, rāgotpattipratyayāṃśca varjayati |
katamaśca sa rāgasya pratipakṣaḥ? katame ca te rāgotpattipratyayāḥ? aśubhā bhāvanā rāgasya pratipakṣaḥ | janapadakalyāṇī rāgotpattipratyayaḥ | katamā ca sā aśubhā bhāvanā? yaduta santyasmin kāye keśā romāṇi nakhā dantā rajomalaṃ tvak māṃsāsthi snāyuḥ śirā vṛkkā hṛdayaṃ plīhakaḥ klomakaḥ antrāṇi antraguṇaḥ, āmāśayaḥ pakkāśayaḥ, audaryakaṃ yakṛtpurīṣamaśru svedaḥ kheṭaḥ siṅghāṇakaḥ vasā lasīkā majjā medaḥ pittaṃ śleṣmā pūyaṃ śoṇitaṃ mastakaṃ mastakaluṅgaṃ prastrāvaḥ | eṣu ca vastuṣu bodhisattva upaparīkṣaṇajātīyo bhavati | tasyaivamupaparīkṣamāṇasyaivaṃ bhavati- yo'pi tāvatsyādbālo mūḍhaḥ abhavyo'kuśalaḥ, so'pi tāvadetāni bastūni jñātvā rāgacittaṃ notpādayet, prāgeva saprajñajātīyaḥ | evaṃ hi bodhisattvo'śubhabhāvanābahulo bhavatīti ||
bhagavatyāmapyuktam- punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ carannimamevaṃ kāyaṃ yathābhūtaṃ prajānāti | tadyathāpi nāma subhūte goghātako vā goghātakāntevāsī vā gāṃ hatvā tīkṣṇena śastreṇa catvāri phalakāni kṛtvā pratyavekṣate sthito'thavā niṣaṇṇaḥ | evameva subhūte bodhisattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ carannimameva kāyaṃ dhātuśo yathābhūtaṃ prajānāti | astyasmin kāye pṛthivīdhāturabdhāturapi tejodhāturapi vāyudhāturapīti || peyālaṃ ||
punarapyāha- tadyathāpi nāma subhūte karṣakasya mūtoḍī pūrṇā nānādhānyānāṃ śālīnāṃ vrīhīṇāṃ tilānāṃ taṇḍulānāṃ mudgānāṃ bhāṣāṇāṃ yavānāṃ godhūmānāṃ masūrāṇāṃ sarṣapāṇām , tānetān cakṣuṣmān puruṣaḥ pratyavekṣamāṇaḥ evaṃ jātīyādayaṃ śālirayaṃ vrīhiramī tilā amī taṇḍulā amī mudrā amī māṣā amī yavā amī godhūmā amī masūrā amī sarṣapā iti || evameva bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ carannimameva kāyamūrddhaṃ pādatalādadhaḥ keśamastakanakharomatvakromaparyantaṃ pūrṇaṃ nānāprakārasyāśuceryathābhūtaṃ pratyavekṣate- santyasmin kāye keśā romāṇi nakhā yāvanmastakaṃ mastakaluṅgamakṣigūthaṃ karṇagūthamiti || pe|| punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvaḥ śmaśānagataḥ paśyati nānārūpāṇi mṛtaśarīrāṇi śmaśāne'paviddhāni śavaśayane ujjhitāni ekāhamṛtāni vā dvayahamṛtāni vā tryahamṛtāni vā caturahamṛtāni vā pañcāhamṛtāni vā vyādhmātakāni vinīlakāni vipūyakāni vipaṭhayakāni, sa imameva kāyaṃ tatropasaṃharati- ayamapi kāya evaṃdharmā evaṃsvabhāvaḥ etāṃ dharmatāmavyativṛtta iti || evaṃ hi subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ caran bahirdhā kāye kāyānudarśī viharati || pe || punaraparaṃ yadā mṛtaśarīrāṇi śmaśāne utsṛṣṭāni paśyati, ṣaḍātramṛtāni kākairvā khādyamānāni, kurarairvā gṛghrairvā śvabhirvā śṛgālairvā, tato'nyairvā nānāvidhaiḥ pāṇakajātaiḥ khādyamānāni, sa imameva kāyaṃ tatropasaṃharatiayamapi kāya evaṃdharmā evaṃsvabhāvaḥ, etāṃ dharmatāṃ na vyativṛtta iti || punaraparaṃ yadā mṛtaśarīrāṇi paśyati śmaśāne utsṛṣṭāni vikhāditānyaśucīni durgandhāni, sa imameva kāyaṃ tatropasaṃharatīti pūrvavat || pe|| punaraparaṃ yadā paśyati mṛtaśarīrāṇi śivapathikāyāmasthisaṃkalikāṃ māṃsaśoṇitabhrakṣitāṃ snāyuvinibaddhām | sa tatremameva kāyamiti pūrvavat || punaraparaṃ yadā mṛtaśarīrāṇi paśyati śivapathikāyāmasthisaṃkalībhūtāni apagatamāṃsaśoṇitasnāyubandhanāni, sa imameva kāyamiti pūrvavat || punaraparaṃ yadā paśyati śivapathikāyāmasthīni digvidikṣu kṣiptāni, yadutānyena pādāsthīni, anyena jaṅghāsthīni, anyena corvasthīni, anyena śroṇikaṭāhakam, anyena pṛṣṭhavaṃśam, anyena pārśvakāsthīni, anyena grīvāsthīni, anyena bāhvasthīni, sa imameva kāyamupasaṃharatīti pūrvavat || pe|| punaraparaṃ yadā paśyati śivapathikāyāmasthīnyanekavārṣikāṇi vātānupariśoṣitāni śaṅkhasaṃnibhāni, imameva kāyaṃ tatropasaṃharatīti pūrvavat | ayamapi kāya evaṃdharmā evaṃsvabhāva etāṃ dharmatāṃ na vyativṛtta iti || punaraparaṃ subhūte bodhisattvo mahāsattvaḥ prajñāpāramitāyāṃ caran yadā paśyati śivapathikāyāmasthīnyanekavārṣikāṇi tirobhūtāni nīlāni kapotavarṇāni pūtīni cūrṇakajātāni pṛthivyāṃ pāṃśunāśamasabhībhūtāni, sa imameva kāyaṃ tatropasaṃharati- ayamapi kāya evaṃdharmāḥ evaṃsvabhāvaḥ, etāṃ dharmatāṃ na vyativṛtta iti ||
eṣa tāvatsamāsato rāgasya samudācārapratipakṣaḥ | dveṣasya maitrī pratipakṣaḥ, apriyasattvādarśanaṃ ca | tena vā saha bhojanādyekārthatayā prītyutpādanaṃ tatra parasukhasyāśaṃsā prārthanā tṛṣṇābhinandanaṃ maitrī | kāmarāgapratyupakārahetubhyāmakliṣṭaḥ sneha ityarthaḥ ||
sā trividhā āryākṣayamatisūtre'vihitā- satvārambaṇā maitrī prathamacittotpādikānāṃ bodhisattvānām, dharmārambaṇā caryāpratipannānāṃ bodhisattvānām, anārambaṇā maitrī anutpattikadharmakṣāntipratilabdhānāṃ bodhisattvānāmiti ||
punarbuddharambaṇā bodhisattvārambaṇā śrāvakapratyekabuddhārambaṇā sattvārambaṇā ca | tatra sattvārambaṇāyāḥ pūrvaṃ priye sattve hitasukhopasaṃhārānna dhyānamabhyasya | tatsame maitrīmupasaṃharet | tataḥ paricitteṣu, tata udāsīneṣu, tataḥ samīpavāsiṣu, tataḥ svagrāmavāsiṣu, evaṃ paragrāme ca | evaṃ yāvadekāṃ diśamadhimucya spharitvopasaṃpadya viharati | evaṃ daśasu dikṣu | buddhādyārambaṇāyāstvayaṃ prayāso nāsti ||
sā ca vajradhvajapariṇāmanāyāmuktā, sa bodhisattvacaryāṇāṃ caran yāvanti kānicid dṛśyante rūpāṇi manojñāni vā pratikūlāni vā, evaṃ śabdā gandhā rasā spraṣṭavyā dharmā manojñā vā pratikūlā vā, anavadyā viśuddhāḥ kalyāṇodāraprabhāsvarā vā, yena saumanasyaṃ jāyate | sukhamavakrāmati | prasādo jāyate | prītiḥ saṃbhavati | prāmodyaṃ saṃtiṣṭhate | harṣaḥ prādurbhavati | daurmanasyaṃ nivartate | cittakalpatā prādurbhavati | cittaṃ karmaṇyaṃ bhavati | āśayo mṛdurbhavati | indriyāṇi prahlādaṃ gacchanti | satatasukhaṃ saṃvedayamāna evaṃ pariṇāmayati sarvabuddhānāmetayā pariṇāmanayā bhūyasyā mātrayāte buddhā bhagavanto'cintyena buddhavihārasukhena samanvāgatā bhavantu, atulyena buddhasamādhisukhena susaṃgṛhītā bhavantu, anantasukhena bhūyasyā mātrayopastabdhā bhavantu | apramāṇena buddhavimokṣasukhena samanvāgatā bhavantu | aprameyeṇa buddhaprātihāryasukhena susaṃgṛhītā bhavantu | acintyena buddhāsaṅgavihārasukhena suparigṛhītā bhavantu | durāsadena buddhavṛṣabhitasukhenābhicchannā bhavantu | aprameyeṇa buddhabalasukhena atyantasukhitā bhavantu | sarvaveditaśāntenānutpattisukhenādhikārasukhā bhavantu | asaṅgavihārasatatasamāhitena tathāgatasukhenādvayasamudācāreṇāvikopitasukhā bhavantu || evaṃ bodhisattvastatkuśalamūlaṃ tathāgateṣu pariṇamayya bodhisattveṣu pariṇāmayati | yadidamaparipūrṇānāmabhiprāyāṇāṃ paripūraṇāya pariṇāmayati apariśuddhānāṃ sarvajñatādhyāśayānāṃ pariśuddhayai | apariniṣpannānāṃ sarvapāramitānāṃ pariniṣpattaye | vajropamasya bodhicittotpādasyādhiṣṭhānāya | anivartyasya sarvajñatāsaṃnāhasyāpratiprastrabdhaye | bodhisattvānāṃ kuśalamūlānāṃ mārgaṇatāyai | sarvajagatsamatāsthitasya mahāpraṇidhānasya paripūraye | sarvabodhisattvavihārāṇāmadhigamāya | sarvabodhisattvendriyāṇāṃ tīkṣṇābhijñatāyai | sarvabodhisattvakuśalamūlānāṃ sarvajñatāsparśanatāyai || sa evaṃ tatkuśalamūlaṃ bodhisattvānāmarthāya pariṇamayya buddhaśāsanāvacareṣu sarvaśrāvakapratyekabuddheṣu tatkuśalamūlameva pariṇāmayati | ye kecitsattvā ekācchaṭāsaṃghātamātramapi buddhaśabdaṃ śṛṇvanti, dharmaśabdaṃ vā āryasaṃghaparyupāsanaṃ vā kurvanti, teṣāṃ tatkuśalamūlamanuttarāyai samyaksaṃbodhiye pariṇāmayati | buddhānusmṛtiparipūryai pariṇāmayati | dharmānusmṛtiprayogatāyai pariṇāmayati | āryasaṃghagauravāya pariṇāmayati | acirahitabuddhadarśanatāyai pariṇāmayati | cittapariśuddhayai pariṇāmayati | buddhadharmaprativedhāya pariṇāmayati | aprameyaguṇapratipattaye pariṇāmayati | sarvābhijñākuśalapariśuddhayai pariṇāmayati |dharmavimativinivartanāya pariṇāmayati | yathā buddhaśāsanāvacareṣu pariṇāmayati, śrāvakapratyekabuddheṣu ca | tathā sa bodhisattvaḥ sarvasattveṣu tatkuśalamūlaṃ pariṇāmayati || yadidaṃ nairayikamārgavinivartanāya pariṇāmayati | tiryagyonivyavacchedāya pariṇāmayati | yamalokopacchedasukhāya pariṇāmayati | niravaśeṣasarvāpāyagatyupapattivyavacchedāya pariṇāmayati || teṣāṃ ca sarvasattvānāmanuttarabodhicchandavivardhanatāyai pariṇāmayati || adhyāśayasarvajñatācittalābhāya pariṇāmayati | sarvabuddhadharmāpratikṣepāya pariṇāmayati | atyantasukhasarvajñatābhūmisaṃvartanāya pariṇāmayati | atyantasarvasattvaviśuddhaye pariṇāmayati | sarvasattvānāmanantajñānādhigamāya pariṇāmayati | pe | tasya yatkiṃciccīvarapiṇḍapātaśayanāsanaglānapratyayabhaiṣajyagamanāgamanaśarīropasthānaniṣadyādiniṣevaṇāyatanānāṃ pravartanakarma īryāpathādhiṣṭhānamīryāpathasyāvikopanaṃ kāyakarma vākkarma manaskarma sucaritaṃ ṣaṇṇāmindriyāṇāṃ saṃvaraḥ svaśarīrācchādanamardanasnānakarma, aśitapītakhāditaṃ saṃmiñjitaprasāritāvalokitavilokitasuptajāgaritasvaśarīragatopasthānam, sarvametadbodhisattvasya sarvajñatālambanaprayuktasya na kiṃcidapariṇāṃmitasarvajñatāyāṃ sarvasattvahitasukhacittasya || pe|| sarvajagatparitrāṇamanaso nityodyuktakuśalamūlasya madapramādavyativṛttasya || pe|| sarvakleśaparāṅyukhasya sarvabodhisattvānuśikṣaṇacetasaḥ sarvajñatāmārgāpratihatasya jñānabhūminiṣevaṇasya paṇḍitasaṃvāsābhiratasya || pe|| madhukara iva kuśalamūlasaṃbharaṇasya sarvajagaduccalitasaṃtānasyānabhiniviṣṭasarvasaṃskārasya | pe || antaśaḥ śvasvapi tadanyeṣvapiṃ tiryagyonigateṣvekaudanonmiñjitamekālopaṃ vā parityajati | sugatāvupapattiṣu tatsarvaṃ teṣāmeva hitāya teṣāmeva parimocanāya pariṇāmayati | tasyāstiryagyonistasmādduḥkhārṇavāttasmādduḥkhotpādāttasmādduḥkhaskandhāttasmādduḥkhāvedanāyaḥ tasmādduḥkhopacayāttasmādduḥkhābhisaṃskārāttasmādduḥkhanidānāttato duḥkhamūlāttasmādduḥkhāyatanātteṣāṃ sattvānāṃ vinivartanāya pariṇāmayati, tadārambaṇena ca sarvasattvārambaṇīkaroti manasikaroti, tatra kuśalamūle pūrvaṃgamīkaroti, yadidaṃ sarvajñatāyāṃ pariṇāmayati | bodhicittotpādena pratigṛhṇāti | tatra kuśalamūlamupanayati | saṃsārakāntārādvinivartayati | anāvaraṇena buddhasukhenābhimukhīkaroti | saṃsārasāgarādunmajjayati | buddhadharmaprayuktaya maitryā spharatītyādi || imāśca suvarṇaprabhāsoktā maitrīkaruṇāgarbhā gāthāḥ sarvā ādarataḥ samanvāhṛtya bhāvayitavyā antaśo vacasāpi-
suvarṇabhāsottamadundubhena śāmyantu duḥkhāstrisahastraloke |
apāyaduḥkhā yamalokaduḥkhā dāridraduḥkhāśca iha triloke ||
anena co dundubhighoṣanādinā śāmyantu sarvavyasanāni loke |
bhavantu sattvā hyabhayāhatā tathā yathābhayāḥ śāntabhayā munīndrāḥ ||
yathaiva sarvāryaguṇopapannāḥ saṃsārasarvajñamahāsamudrāḥ |
tathaiva bhontu guṇasāgarāḥ prajāḥ samādhibodhyaṅgaguṇairupetāḥ ||
anena co dundubhighoṣanādinā bhavantu brahmasvara sarvasattvāḥ |
spṛśantu buddhatvavarāgrabodhiṃ pravartayantū śubhadharmacakram ||
tiṣṭhantu kalpāni acintiyāni deśantu dharmaṃ jagato hitāya |
hanantu kleśān bidhamantu duḥkhān samentu rāgaṃ tatha doṣa moham |
ye sattva tiṣṭhanti apāyabhūmau ādīpta saṃprajvalitāsthigātrāḥ |
śṛṇvantu te dundubhi saṃpravāditaṃ namo'stu buddhāya bhaṇantu vācam ||
jātismarāḥ sattvā bhavantu sarve jātīśataṃ jātisahastrakoṭayaḥ |
anusmarantū satataṃ munīndrān śṛṇvantu teṣāṃ vacanaṃ hyudāram ||
anena co dundubhighoṣanādinā labhantu buddhehi samāgamaṃ sadā |
vivarjayantū khalu pāpakarma carantu kuśalāni śubhakriyāṇi ||
sarvatra kṣetreṣu ca sarvaprāṇināṃ sarve ca duḥkhāḥ praśamantu loke |
ye sattva vikalendriya aṅgahīnāḥ te sarvi sakalendriya bhontu sāṃpratam ||
ye vyādhitā durbalakṣīṇagātrā nistrāṇabhūtāḥ śayitā diśāsu |
te sarvi mucyantu ca vyādhito laghu labhantu cārogyabalendriyāṇi ||
ye rājacaurabhaṭatarjitavadhyaprāptā nānāvidhairmayaśatairvyasanopapannāḥ ||
te sarvi sattva vyasanāgataduḥkhitā hi mucyantu tairbhayaśataiḥ paramaiḥ sughoraiḥ ||
ye tāḍitā bandhanabaddhapīḍitā vividheṣu vyasaneṣu ca saṃsthitā hi |
anekaāyāsasahastraākulā vicitrabhayadāruṇaśokaprāptāḥ ||
te sarvi mucyantviha bandhanebhyaḥ saṃtāḍitā mucyiṣu tāḍanebhyaḥ |
badhyāśca saṃyujyiṣu jīvitena vyasanāgatā nirbhaya bhontu sarve ||
ye sattva kṣuttarṣapipāsapīḍitā labhantu te bhojanapāna citram |
andhāśca paśyantu vicitrarūpāṃ badhirāśca śṛṇvantu manojñaghoṣān ||
nagrāśca vastrāṇi labhantu citrāṃ daridrasattvāśca nidhiṃ labhantu |
prabhūtadhanadhānyavicitraratnaiḥ sarve ca sattvāḥ sukhino bhavantu ||
mā kasyacidbhavatu duḥkhavedanā saukhyānvitāḥ sattva bhavantu sarve |
abhirūpaprāsādikasaumyarūpā anekasukhasaṃcita nitya bhontu ||
manasānnapānāḥ susamṛddhapuṇyāḥ saha cittamātreṇa bhavantu teṣām |
vīṇāmṛdaṅgāḥ paṇavāḥ sughoṣakāḥ utsā sarāḥ puṣkariṇī taḍāgāḥ ||
suvarṇapadmotpalapadminīśca saha citatmātreṇa bhavantu teṣām |
gandhaṃ ca mālyaṃ ca vilepanaṃ ca vāsaśca cūrṇaṃ kusumaṃ vicitram ||
triṣkālavṛkṣemi pravarṣayantu gṛhṇantu te sattva bhavantu hṛṣṭāḥ |
kurvantu pūjāṃ daśasū diśāsu acintiyāṃ sarvatathāgatānām ||
sabodhisattvānatha śrāvakāṇāṃ dharmasya bodhi pratisṛṣṭitasya |
nīcāṃ gatiṃ sattva vivarjayantu bhavantu aṣṭākṣaṇavītivṛttāḥ ||
āsādayantū jinarājamuttamaṃ labhantu buddhehi samāgamaṃ sadā |
sarvāḥ striyo nitya narā bhavantu śūrāśca vīrā vidupaṇḍitāśca ||
te sarvi bodhāya carantu nityaṃ carantu te pārimitāsu ṣaṭsu |
paśyantu buddhān daśasū diśāsu ratnadrumendreṣu sukhopaviṣṭān |
vaiḍūryaratnāsanasaṃniṣaṇṇān dharmāśca śṛṇvantu prakāśyamānān iti ||
eṣā saṃkṣepato maitrī dveṣasamudācārapratipakṣaḥ ||
mohānuśayasya pratītyasamutpādadarśanaṃ pratipakṣaḥ ||
tatra pratītyasamutpādaḥ śālistambasūtre'bhihitaḥ- tatrādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya hetūpanibandhaḥ katamaḥ? yadidamabidyāpratyayāḥ saṃskārā yāvajjātipratyayaṃ jarāmaraṇamiti | avidyā cennābhaviṣyat, naiva saṃskārāḥ prājñāsyanta | evaṃ yāvadyadi jātirnābhaviṣyat, na jarāmaraṇaṃ prājñāsyata | atha satyāmavidyāyāṃ saṃskārāṇāmabhinirvṛttirbhavati | evaṃ yāvajjātyāṃ satyāṃ jarāmaraṇasyābhinirvṛttirbhavati | tatra avidyāyā naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ saṃskārānabhinirvartayāmīti | saṃskārāṇāmapyevaṃ na bhavati- vayamavidyayābhinirvṛttā iti | evaṃ yāvajjātyā naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ jarāmaraṇamabhinirrvartayāmīti |
jarāmaraṇasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ jātyā nirvṛtta iti | atha ca satyāmavidyāyāṃ saṃskārāṇāmabhinirvṛttirbhavati prādurbhāvaḥ | evaṃ yāvajjātyāṃ satyāṃ jarāmaraṇasyābhinirvṛttirbhavati prādurbhāvaḥ | evamādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya hetūpanibandho draṣṭavyaḥ ||
kathamādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya pratyayopanibandho draṣṭavya iti? [ṣaṇṇāṃ dhātūnāṃ samavāyāt | katameṣāṃ ṣaṇṇāṃ dhātūnāṃ samavāyāt?] yadidaṃ pṛthivyaptejovāyvākāśavijñānadhātūnāṃ samavāyādādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya pratyayopanibandho draṣṭavyaḥ || tatrādhyātmikasya pratītyasamutpādasya pṛthivīdhātuḥ katama iti? yo'yaṃ kāyasya saṃśleṣataḥ kaṭhinabhāvamabhinirvartayati, ayamucyate pṛthivīdhātuḥ | yaḥ kāyasyānuparigrahakṛtyaṃ karoti, ayamucyate'bdhātuḥ | yaḥ kāyasyāśitapītabhakṣitaṃ paripācayati, ayamucyate tejodhātuḥ | yaḥ kāyasyāśvāsapraśvāsakṛtyaṃ karoti, ayamucyate vāyudhātuḥ | yaḥ kāyasyāntaḥśauṣiryabhāvamabhinirvartayati, ayamucyate ākāśadhātuḥ |
yo nāmarūpamabhinirvartayati naḍakalāpayogena pañcavijñānakāyasaṃprayuktaṃ sāstravaṃ ca manovijñānam, ayamucyate vijñānadhātuḥ | asatsu pratyayeṣu kāyasyotpattirna bhavati | yadā ādhyātmikaḥ pṛthivīdhāturavikalo bhavati, evamaptejovāyvākāśavijñānadhātavaścāvikalā bhavanti, tataḥ sarveṣāṃ samavāyātkāyasyotpattirbhavati | tatra pṛthivīdhātornaivaṃ bhavati - ahaṃ kāyasya kaṭhinabhāvabhinirvartayāmīti | abdhātornaivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ kāyasyānuparigrahakṛtyaṃ karomīti | tejodhātornaivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ kāyasyāśitapītakhāditaṃ paripācayāmīti | vāyudhātornaivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ kāyasyāśvāsapraśvāsakṛtyaṃ karomīti | ākāśadhātornaivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ kāyasyāntaḥśauṣirya karomīti | vijñānadhātornaivaṃ bhavati- ahamebhiḥ pratyayairjanita iti | atha ca satsveṣu pratyayeṣu kāyasyotpatirbhavati | tatra pṛthivīdhāturnātmā na sattvo na jīvo na janturna manujo na mānavo na strī na pumānna napuṃsakam, na cāham, na mama, na cāpyanyasya kasyacit | evamabdhātustejodhāturvāyudhāturākāśadhāturvijñānadhāturna sattvo na jīvo na janturna manujo na mānavo na strī na pumānna napuṃsakaṃ na cāhaṃ na mama na cāpyanyasya kasyacit ||
tatra avidyā katamā? yā eṣveva ṣaṭsu dhātuṣvekasaṃjñā piṇḍasaṃjñā nityasaṃjñā dhruvasaṃjñā śāśvatasaṃjñā sukhasaṃjñā ātmasaṃjñā satvajīvamanujamānavasaṃjñā, ahaṃkāramamakārasaṃjñā | evamādi vividhamajñānam | iyamucyate'vidyeti | evamavidyāyāṃ satyāṃ viṣayeṣu rāgadveṣamohāḥ pravartante | tatra ye rāgadveṣamohā viṣayeṣu,amī ucyante saṃskārā iti | vastuprativijñaptirvijñānam | vijñānasahajāścatvāro'rūpiṇa upādānaskandhāḥ, tannāma[rūpam] , catvāri ca mahābhūtāni copādāya upādāya rūpamaikadhyamabhisaṃkṣipya tannāmarūpam | nāmarūpasaṃniśritānīndriyāṇi ṣaḍāyatanam | trayāṇāṃ dharmāṇāṃ saṃnipātaḥ sparśaḥ | sparśānubhavanā vedanā | vedanādhyavasānaṃ tṛṣṇā | tṛṣṇāvaipulyamupādānam | upādānanirjātaṃ punarbhavajanakaṃ karma bhavaḥ | taddhetukaskandhaprādurbhāvo jātiḥ | skandhaparipāko jarā | skandhānāṃ vināśo maraṇam | mriyamāṇasya mūḍhasya sābhiṣvaṅgasyāntardāhaḥ śokaḥ | lālapyanaṃ paridevaḥ | pañcavijñānakāyasaṃprayuktamasātānubhavanaṃ duḥkham | manasikārasaṃprayuktaṃ mānasaṃ duḥkhaṃ daurmanasyam | ye vānye evamādaya upakleśāsta upāyāsāḥ || peyālaṃ ||
punaraparaṃ tattve'pratipattiḥ mithyāpratipattiḥ ajñānamavidyā | evamavidyāyāṃ satyāṃ trividhāḥ saṃskārāḥ abhinirvartante puṇyopagā apuṇyopagā āniñjyopagāśca | ima ucyante'vidyāpratyayāḥ saṃskārā iti | puṇyopagānāṃ saṃskārāṇāṃ puṇyopagameva vijñānaṃ bhavati | apuṇyopagānāṃ saṃskārāṇāmapuṇyopagameva vijñānaṃ bhavati | āniñjyopagānā saṃskāraṇāmāniñjyopagameva vijñānaṃ bhavati | idamucyate saṃskārapratyayaṃ vijñānamiti | evaṃ nāmarūpam | nāmarūpavivṛddhayā ṣaḍbhirāyatanadvāraiḥ kṛtyakriyāḥ pravartante | tannāmarūpapratyayaṃ ṣaḍāyatanamityucyate | ṣaḍbhya āyatanebhyaḥ ṣaṭ sparśakāyāḥ pravartante, ayaṃ ṣaḍāyatanapratyayaḥ sparśa ityucyate | yajjātīyaḥ sparśo bhavati, tajjātīyā vedanā pravartate | iyaṃ sparśapratyayā vedanetyucyate | yastāṃ vedayati viśeṣeṇāsvādayati, abhinandati adhyavasyati adhitiṣṭhati, sā vedanāpratyayā tṛṣṇetyucyate | āsvādanābhinandanādhyavasānam- mā me priyarūpasātarūpairviyogo bhavatviti aparityāgo bhūyo bhūyaśca prārthanā, idaṃ tṛṣṇāpratyayamupādānamityucyate | evaṃ prārthayamānaḥ punarbhavajanakaṃ karma samutthāpayati kāyena vācā manasā | ayamupādānapratyayo bhava ityucyate | yā karmanirjātānāṃ skandhānāmabhinirvṛtiḥ, sā bhavapratyayā jātirityucyate | yo jātyabhinirvṛttānāṃ skandhānāmupacayaparipākādvināśo bhavati, tadidaṃ jātipratyayaṃ jarāmaraṇamucyate |pe|| evamayaṃ dvādaśāṅgaḥ pratītyasamutpādo'nyonyahetuko'nyonyapratyayato naivānityo na nityo na saṃskṛto nāsaṃskṛto na vedayitā na kṣayadharmo na nirodhadharmo na virāgadharmaḥ anādikālapravṛtto'nudbhinno'nupravartate nadīstrotavat | atha ca | imānyasya dvādaśāṅgasya pratītyasamutpādasya catvāri aṅgāni saṃghātakriyāyai hetutvena pravartante | katamāni catvāri? yaduta avidyā tṛṣṇā karma vijñānaṃ ca | tatra vijñānaṃ vījasvabhāvatvena hetuḥ | karma kṣetrasvabhāvatvena hetuḥ | avidyā tṛṣṇā ca kleśasvabhāvena hetuḥ | karmakleśā vijñānabījaṃ saṃjanayanti | tatra karma vijñānabījasya kṣetrakāryaṃ karoti | tṛṣṇā vijñānabījaṃ snehayati | avidyā vijñānabījamavakirati | [ asatāmeṣāṃ pratyayānāṃ bījasyābhinivṛttirna bhavati ] | tatra karmaṇo naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ vijñānabījaṃ snehayāmīti | abidyāyā api naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ vijñānabījamavakirāmīti | vijñānabījasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati- ahamebhiḥ pratyayairjanita iti | api tu vijñānabīje karmakṣetrapratiṣṭhite tṛṣṇāsnehābhiṣyandite'vidyāvakīrṇe tatratatropapattyāyatanasaṃghau mātuḥ kukṣau virohati, nāmarūpāṅkurasyābhinirvṛttirbhavati | sa ca nāmarūpāṅkuro na svayaṃkṛto na parakṛto nobhayakṛto niśvarādinirmito na kālapariṇāmito na caikakāraṇādhīno nāpyahetusamutpannaḥ | atha ca mātāpitṛsaṃyogādṛtusamavāyādanyeṣāṃ ca pratyayānāṃ samavāyādāsvādānupraviddhaṃ vijñānabījaṃ mātuḥ kukṣau nāmarūpāṅkurabījamabhinirvartati | asvāmikeṣu dharmeṣu amameṣu aparigraheṣu apratyarthikeṣu ākāśasameṣu māyālakṣaṇasvabhāveṣu hetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt | tadyathā pañcabhiḥ kāraṇaiścakṣurvijñānamutpadyate | katamaiḥ pañcabhiḥ? cakṣuśca pratītya rūpaṃ ca ālokaṃ ca ākāśaṃ tajjaṃ ca manasikāraṃ pratītyotpadyate cakṣurvijñānam | tatra cakṣurvijñānasya cakṣurāśrayakṛtyaṃ karoti | rūpamārambaṇakṛtyaṃ karoti | āloko'vabhāsakṛtyaṃ karoti | ākāśamanāvaraṇakṛtyaṃ karoti | tajjamanasikāraḥ samanvāhārakṛtyaṃ karoti | asatsveṣu pratyayeṣu cakṣurvijñānaṃ notpadyate | yadā cakṣurādhyātmikamāyatanamavikalaṃ bhavati, evaṃ rūpālokākāśatajjamanasikārāśca avikalā bhavanti, tataḥ sarvasamavāyāccakṣurvijñānasyotpattirbhavati | tatra cakṣuṣo naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasyāśrayakṛtyaṃ karomīti | rūpasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati- aha cakṣurvijñānasyārambaṇakṛtyaṃ karomīti | ālokasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati- ahamavabhāsakṛtyaṃ karomīti | ākāśasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasyānāvaraṇakṛtyaṃ karomīti | tajjamanasikārasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati- ahaṃ cakṣurvijñānasya samanvāhārakṛtyaṃ karomīti | cakṣurvijñānasyāpi naivaṃ bhavati- ahamebhiḥ pratyayairjanita iti | atha ca punaḥ satsveṣu pratyayeṣu cakṣurvijñānasyotpattirbhavati prādurbhāvaḥ | evaṃ śeṣāṇāmindriyāṇāṃ yathāyogyaṃ kartavyam ||
tatra na kaściddharmo'smāllokātparaṃ lokaṃ saṃkrāmati | asti ca karmaphalaprativijñaptiḥ, hetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt | yathā agnirūpādānavaikalpānna jvalati, evameva karmakleśajanitaṃ vijñānabījaṃ tatratatro papattyāyatanapratisaṃdhau mātuḥ kukṣau nāmarūpāṅkuramabhinirvartayati, asvāmikeṣu dharmeṣu amameṣu aparigraheṣu apratyarthikeṣu ākāśasameṣu māyālakṣaṇasvabhāveṣu, hetupratyayānāmavaikalyāt ||
tatrādhyātmikaḥ pratītyasamutpādaḥ pañcamiḥ kāraṇairdraṣṭavyaḥ | katamaiḥ pañcamiḥ? na śāśvatato nocchedato na saṃkrāntitaḥ parīttahetuto vipulaphalābhinirvṛttitaḥ tatsadṛśānuprabandhataśceti | kathaṃ na śāśvatataḥ? yasmādanye māraṇāntikāḥ skandhā anya aupapattyaṃśikāḥ | na tu ya eva māraṇāntikāḥ skandhāsta evaupapatyaṃśikāḥ skandhāḥ | api tu māraṇāntikāśca skandhā nirudhyamānā aupapattyaṃśikāḥ skandhāśca prādurbhavanti | ato na śāśvatataḥ || kathaṃ nocchedataḥ? na ca niruddheṣu skandheṣu aupapattyaṃśikāḥ skandhāḥ prādurbhavanti, nāpyaniruddheṣu | api tu māraṇāntikāśca skandhā nirudhyante, aupapattyaṃśikāśca prādurbhavanti | tulādaṇḍonnāmāvanāmavat | ato nocchedataḥ || [ kathaṃ na saṃkrāntitaḥ?] visadṛśātsattvanikāyādvibhāgāḥ skandhā jātyantare'bhinirvartante | ato na saṃkrāntitaḥ | [ kathaṃ parīttahetuto vipulaphalābhinirvṛttitaḥ?] parīttaṃ karma kriyate, vipulaḥ phalavipāko'nubhūyate | ataḥ parīttahetuto vipulaphalābhinirvṛttitaḥ || [kathaṃ tatsadṛśānuprabandhataḥ?] yathāvedanīyaṃ karma kriyate, tathāvedanīyo vipāko'nubhūyate | atastatsadṛśānuprabandhataśceti ||
yaḥ kaścidbhadanta śāriputra imaṃ pratītyasamutpādaṃ bhagavatā samyakpraṇītamevaṃ yathābhūtaṃ samyakprajñayā satatasamitamajīvaṃ nirjīvaṃ yathāvadaviparītamajātamabhūtamakṛtamasaṃskṛtamapratighamanāvaraṇaṃ śivamabhayaṃ mahārthamavyayamavyupaśamamasvabhāvaṃ paśyati, asatyatastucchato riktato'sārato'ghato'nityato duḥkhataḥ śūnyato'nātmataśca samanupaśyati, sa na pūrvāntaṃ pratisarati- kimahamabhūvamatīte'dhvani, āhosvinnābhūvamatīte'dhvani, ko nvahamabhūvamatīte'dhvani | aparāntaṃ vā punarna pratisarati- kiṃ nu bhaviṣyāmyanāgate'dhvani, āhosvinna bhaviṣyāmyanāgate'dhvani, ko nu bhaviṣyāmīti | pratyutpannaṃ vā punarna pratisarati- kiṃsvididaṃ kathaṃ svididam, ke santaḥ ke bhaviṣyāma iti ||
āryadaśabhūmake'pyuktam- tatra avidyā tṛṣṇopādānaṃ ca kleśavartmano'vyavacchedaḥ | saṃskārābhavaśca karmavartmano'vyavacchedaḥ | pariśeṣaṃ duḥkhavartmano'vyavacchedaḥ | api tu khalu punaryaducyate-avidyāpratyayāḥ saṃskārā iti, eṣā pūrvāntikyapekṣā | vijñānaṃ yāvadvedaneti, eṣā pratyutpannāpekṣā | tṛṣṇā yāvadbhava iti, eṣā'parāntikyapekṣā | ata ūrdhvamasya pravṛttiriti | peyālaṃ | tasyaivaṃ bhavati-saṃyogātsaṃskṛtaṃ pravartate, visaṃyogānna pravartate | sāmagrayāḥ saṃskṛtaṃ pravartate, visāmagryā na pravartate | hanta vayamevaṃ bahudoṣaduṣṭaṃ saṃskṛtaṃ viditvā asya saṃyogasya asyāśca sāmagryā vyavacchedaṃ kariṣyāmaḥ | na cātyantopaśamaṃ sarvasaṃskārāṇāmadhigamipyāmaḥ sattvaparipācanatāyai | iti || idaṃ saṃkṣepānmohaśodhanam ||
