tṛtīyaḥ paricchedaḥ
tattvajñānaiṣaṇā
yasya jñānamayaṃ cakṣuścakṣustasyāsti netarat |
yatastasmād bhaved dhīmāṃstattvajñānaiṣaṇāparaḥ ||1||
paśyatyandho'pi matimān didṛkṣurviprakṛṣṭakān |
sūkṣmavyavahitānarthāstrailokyāhatadarśanaḥ ||2||
sahasreṇāpi netrāṇāmanetro buddhivarjitaḥ |
svargāpavargasadbhūtamārgāmārgāsamīkṣaṇāt ||3||
dṛṣṭādṛṣṭaviśiṣṭeṣṭaphalāśāviṣakaṇṭake |
pravartate na dānādau prajñonmīlitalocanaḥ ||4||
trimaṇḍalaviśuddhe hi dānādāvabhiyujyate |
kāruṇyāt sarvavittvāya tatrāpyasthitamānasaḥ ||5||
prajñāmṛtaṃ tṛptikaraṃ dīpo'pratihataprabhaḥ |
mokṣaprāsādasopānaṃ kleśendhanahutāśanaḥ ||6||
sā ca satyadvayāpekṣā dvividhābhimatā matiḥ |
tathyasaṃvṛtibhūtārthapravivekānuguṇyataḥ ||7||
dānādipuṇyajñānākhyasaṃbhāraparipūraṇe |
taddhetuphalasaṃbandhalakṣaṇādiviniścaye ||8||
mahāmaitrīkṛpābhyāsasattvasaṃgrahapācane |
prajñā sāṃketikī jñeyā dvādaśāyatanāśrayā ||9||
aśeṣakalpanājālapratiṣedhavidhāyinī |
śāntapratyātmasaṃvedyanirvikalpanirakṣare ||10||
vigataikatvanānātve tattve gagananirmale |
apracārapracārā ca prajñā syāt pāramārthikī ||11||
tattvaprāsādaśikharārohaṇaṃ na hi yujyate |
tathyasaṃvṛtisopānamantareṇa yatastataḥ ||12||
pūrvaṃ saṃvṛtisatyena praviviktamatirbhavet |
tato dharmasvasāmānyalakṣaṇe suviniścitaḥ ||13||
abhiyujyeta medhāvī samādhānāya cetasaḥ |
tathā śrutamayajñāne tadanyajñānahetutaḥ ||14||
na paśyati yathā vaktraṃ kaluṣapracale jale |
tathāsamāhite citte tattvaṃ nivaraṇāvṛte ||15||
nibadhyālambanastambhe smṛtirajjvā manogajam |
unmārgacāriṇaṃ kuryāt prajñāṅkuśavaśaṃ śanaiḥ ||16||
anityatāmanaskārairuddhataṃ śamamānayet |
vipulālambanābhyāsāt saṃkṣiptaṃ vipulātmatām ||17||
vikṣiptaṃ saṃharet kṣiptanimittādīnavekṣaṇāt |
vīryānuśaṃsadarśitvāllīnamuttejayedapi ||18||
rāgadveṣamohapaṅkamalīmasamasaṃyatam |
kṣālayedaśubhāmaitrīpratītyotpādavāriṇā ||19||
viviktamacalaṃ śāntamālambanaparāyaṇam |
karmaṇyaṃ mṛdu ca jñātvā tatra samyagupekṣayet ||20||
samāhitamatiḥ paścāt prajñayaivaṃ parīkṣayet |
yo'yaṃ svabhāvo dharmāṇāṃ gṛhyeta vyavahārataḥ ||21||
vicāryamāṇastu dhiyā kimayaṃ paramārthataḥ |
yadi syāt tattvamevāyamato'nyaścet sa mṛgyate||22||
na pakṣapātasaṃtaptaḥ śāntimarhati ca kvacit |
saṃskṛtāsaṃskṛtā dharmāḥ skandhāyatanadhātavaḥ ||23||
kleśāvaraṇahānāya śrāvakāṇāṃ prakāśitāḥ |
kleśajñeyāvṛtimalaprahāṇāya kṛpātmanām ||24||
audārikatvāt prathamaṃ rūpaskandhaḥ parīkṣyate |
tatrāpi pūrvaṃ bhūtāni yathoktādeva kāraṇāt ||25||
atra bhūtasvabhāvaṃ hi norvyādi paramārthataḥ |
kṛtakatvād yathā jñānaṃ hetumattvādito'pi vā ||26||
kharasvabhāvā na mahī bhūtatvāt tadyathānilaḥ |
dhāraṇaṃ na bhuvaḥ kāryaṃ kṛtakatvād yathāmbhasaḥ ||27||
kharasvabhāvā yadyurvī tattvato'pyasatī matā |
yoginastatra yujyete nonmajjananimajjane ||28||
dhyāyināṃ dhyānasāmarthyānna yuktā dravatā kṣiteḥ |
svabhāvasyānapāyitvānna vāsyāḥ kaṭhinātmatā ||29||
evaṃ jalānilāgnīnāṃ na dravādisvabhāvatā |
yujyate nāpi tatkāryaṃ saṃgrahavyūhapaktayaḥ ||30||
na hi tulyaguṇā neṣṭāḥ saṃvṛtyā pavanādayaḥ |
kāyendriyopalabhyatvād bhūtatvād vāpi bhūmivat ||31||
dravyasanna pṛthivyādi sāmagryaṅgāgrahe'grahāt |
yad yathoktaṃ na tad dṛṣṭaṃ dravyasat tadyathā vanam ||32||
dravyasadviṣayā ceyaṃ na kṣityādimatirmatā |
sakāraṇatvānnāśād vā tadyathā kānanādidhīḥ ||33||
dravyābhidhāyako neṣṭo dhvaniḥ kṣityādivācakaḥ |
śrāvaṇatvād yathā neṣṭo dhvaniḥ senādivācakaḥ ||34||
nānaikāntikatā hetościttacaitasabuddhibhiḥ |
jāyate sādhyatulyatvaṃ tadvattatpratiṣedhataḥ ||35||
nārambhakā vanasyeṣṭāḥ palāśaspandanādayaḥ |
hetumattvādihetubhyastadyathā caraṇādayaḥ ||36||
palāśādibhirārabdho na vano'vayavī mataḥ |
pratyekamasamāptatvāt teṣu yadvat karādibhiḥ ||37||
ato dṛṣṭāntadoṣo'pi na pakṣa upapadyate |
dvitīye'pi yathā nāsti tathedamabhidhīyate ||38||
nānekāniyatadravyasaṃkhyāvṛttirvanadhvaniḥ |
viśiṣṭabuddhihetutvād ghaṭakuṇḍādiśabdavat ||39||
na cakṣurindriyagrāhyaṃ rūpaṃ hi paramārthataḥ |
saṃghātatvād yathā śabdo bhautikatvāt tathāpi vā ||40||
na cakṣuḥ prekṣate rūpaṃ bhautikatvāt svarūpavat |
sukhādyutpattihetutvād vācyatvād vā rasādivat ||41||
tathā na bhautikaṃ rūpamutpatterjvalanādivat |
hetumattvādihetubhyaścittavad veti lakṣayet ||42||
etena varṇasaṃsthānasaṃcitatvādilakṣaṇaḥ |
sūkṣmaudārikabhedaśca yāvān rūpasya kalpitaḥ ||43||
pratiṣiddho'vaboddhavyo yathāyogaprayogataḥ |
śabdagandharasasparśapratiṣedhe'pyayaṃ nayaḥ ||44||
na cakṣurindriyaṃ rūpamīkṣate paramārthataḥ |
cittacaitasikānyatvāt tadyathā rasanendriyam ||45||
na rūpamīkṣate cakṣurathavā paramārthataḥ |
avijñānasvabhāve satyanutpattestvagādivat ||46||
na varṇaviṣayo rūpaprasādaścakṣurindriyam |
kṛtakatvādihetubhyo dṛṣṭāntāśca tvagādikāḥ ||47||
na cakṣū rūpaviṣayaṃ svarūpāgrahaṇānmatam|
śravaṇādīndriyaṃ yadvad rūpitvād vā rasādivat ||48||
tadvad vācakṣuṣo draṣṭudarśanaṃ nānidarśanam |
kathaṃ vādraṣṭṛrūpasya yujyate rūpadarśanam ||49||
kathaṃ vādraṣṭṛrūpasya yujyate rūpadarśanam |
draṣṭaiva ced bhavecchrotā śrotṛtvaṃ tasya kiṃkṛtam ||50||
na cādeyaviśeṣatvādiṣṭe tajjñatvanityate |
na caikatvaṃ dvirūpatvād dehāntaraśarīravat ||51||
rūpopalabdhau karaṇaṃ neṣyate cakṣurindriyam |
amanastve sati draṣṭuranyatvācchravaṇādivat ||52||
na cāsya draṣṭṛtā yuktā cakṣurādivyapekṣaṇāt |
manovat pariṇāmitvāt pratibimbodayāt tathā ||53||
akṣāntareṇa vādṛṣṭermanovad draṣṭṛtā katham |
manasastattvato neṣṭamātmavad rūpadarśanam ||54||
adravyasattvāt sāmagryāstadvad vā nāsti darśanam |
dharmāntarābhinirvṛtterghaṇṭāvat kartṛtāstu vā ||55||
na cakṣū raśmivad yuktamakṣatvāditarākṣavat |
naktaṃcarākṣyadhiṣṭhānaṃ dṛśyaṃ dṛśyaṃ na hīkṣaṇam ||56||
na sukhādyātmakaṃ cakṣurvastutvāt tadyathā pumān |
nāpi sarvagataṃ cakṣuḥ sattvāt tadgolakādivat ||57||
athavāsarvagantrakṣi pārārthyāt tadyathā ghaṭaḥ |
rūpopalabdhihetutvād yathā rūpaṃ tatheti vā ||58||
na cakṣustejaḥsaṃyuktamindriyatvāt tvagādivat |
tejo'dhikaṃ mahābhūtaprasādādyātmakaṃ na ca ||59||
na prāptaviṣayaṃ cakṣurindriyatvād yathā manaḥ |
rūpavat kāraṇatvād vā hetumattvāt tathāpi vā ||60||
bāhyārthagrahaṇāt sākṣādatītānāgatāgrahāt |
na prāptaviṣayagrāhi ghrāṇādīṣṭaṃ yathekṣaṇam ||61||
sādhyatulyaniṣedhācca nānekāntastvagādibhiḥ |
nayenānena boddhavyaṃ pratyuktaṃ śravaṇādyapi ||62||
trayaṃ nāprāptaviṣayaṃ manaḥśrotrākṣilakṣaṇam |
indriyatvād yathā ghrāṇaṃ cittahetutvato'pi vā ||63||
darśanenaiva boddhavyā yathākathitavistarāt |
śravaṇaghrāṇarasanatvagindriyanirākriyāḥ ||64||

etena saṃjñā vyākhyātā saṃskārāścobhayātmakāḥ|

kāyavijñānahetutvādagnitve lakṣaṇaṃ katham ||74||

gatyasiddherna gantāsti nāgatirgacchatīṣyate |
aganturna gatiryuktā gatyayogād yathā purā ||80||
svato'rthāntarasaṃbandhe gantetīyaṃ matirmatā |
daṇḍivannānvayābhāvād buddhiśabdānuvṛttitaḥ ||81||
nirantaradigutpādisaṃskāraprasarāśrayā |
jvālādivad gatibhrāntiḥ sāṃvṛtī sā na tattvataḥ ||82||
adravyatvāt kalāpasya nirīhatvādathāpi vā |
na gantṛkalpanā nyāyyā kāpilaiḥ paramārthataḥ ||83||
dravyasan samudāyaścet samudāyyagrahe'grahāt |
tadātmavadayuktaṃ tat teṣāmadravyasattvataḥ ||84||
śeṣakriyāniṣedhe'pi digeṣā pratipāditā |
saṃsāramokṣasadbhāvādiṣṭā cet sasvabhāvatā ||85||
yathāvikalpitaṃ rūpaṃ yadaiṣāṃ nāvadhāryate |
tadā nirūpya rūpāṇāṃ bandhamokṣau kutaḥ katham ||86||
yujyete niḥsvabhāveṣu māyāsvapnopameṣu tu |
svahetupratyayavaśād viśiṣṭeṣvātmalābhiṣu ||87||
nāmarūpasya saṃsāro na yuktaḥ paramārthataḥ |
saṃskṛtatvāt pṛthivyāderyathā bāhyasya neṣyate ||88||
na mucyate nāmarūpaṃ kathaṃcit paramārthataḥ |
utpattimattvānnāśād vā yathā bāhyaṃ jalādikam ||89||
na pudgalaḥ saṃsarati mucyate na ca tattvataḥ |
prajñapyatvād yathā veśma vācyatvād vāpi gandhavat ||90||
niṣpudgalā vā saṃskārā hetumattvād yathā ghaṭaḥ |
utpattimattvānnāśitvājjñeyatvād vāpi loṣṭavat ||91||
dravyasannāpyavācyatvād gandhavat pudgalo mataḥ |
śyāmagauratayāvācyavandhyāputreṇa saṃśayet ||92||
evaṃ nirātmakāḥ skandhā nirjīvāḥ sattvavarjitāḥ|

asādhāraṇataivaṃ syād hetūnāmanvayādṛte ||96||
ātmaśabdo yathārtho'yaṃ kvacit tadupacārataḥ |
tadyathā siṃhaśabdaścennaivamātmā prasidhyati ||97||
atha vijñānaviṣayo yathārtho'nyatra sādhyate |
nityasarvagatatvādivirodhāt syād viruddhatā ||98||
bandhamokṣāvato neṣṭau kasyacit paramārthataḥ |

rāgo rāgasvabhāvena na ca yat tena rajyate ||118||

rūpasyātmetyabhede'pi vyapadeśācca saṃśayaḥ |
parikalpyasya cāsiddherasiddhārtho bhavedasau ||123||
śabdādibhedabhinne'pi tasmāt te vyabhicāriṇaḥ |
viśeṣaṇābhidhāne'pi nivāryante virodhinā ||124||
ubhayatvaṃ virodhānna yathāgneruṣṇaśītate |
anyānanyatvapakṣoktaniṣedhād vā tadapyasat ||125||
dvyātmakatve'pi sarvasya prasiddho'śo nidarśanam |
dṛṣṭāntanyūnatā tasmānna paraṃ prati jāyate ||126||
āpekṣikī ca tatsiddhirmanorathavikalpitā |
dvayoranyatarasyāpi prāgasiddherna sidhyati ||127||
sarveṣūbhayavādeṣu pratiṣedhe'pyayaṃ nayaḥ |
evaṃ yathoktavidhinā niṣiddhā sasvabhāvatā ||128||

kāryatvāt tadyathā kṣudraṃ na khapuṣpādikāraṇam ||133||
etena vyomatathatādikkālātmādi buddhimān |
pratiṣiddhaṃ vijānīyād yāvat kiṃcidasaṃskṛtam ||134||
dravyapradhānajīvādi jñeyaṃ yat tīrthyakalpitam |
yathāyogaṃ niṣeddhavyaṃ yuktyāgamaviśāradaiḥ ||135||
iti svaparasiddhāntakalpitātmanirātmatām |
vidvān vibhāvya bhāvānāṃ tattvajñānāmṛtaṃ pibet ||136||
athavā kalpanājālaprasaro hyevamādikaḥ |
jātabhāvāśrayo bālamākulīkurute balāt ||137||
vidvān vidyāpradīpena yathābhūtaṃ parīkṣate |
jāterniṣedhāt tacchānteḥ prapañcopaśamastadā ||138||
tatra tāvat svato janma saṃvṛtyāpi na yujyate |
sātmakatvād yathā dadhnaḥ svato janma na vidyate ||139||
notpannāḥ svātmato bhāvā bhāvatvāt tadyathā pumān |
nāpi cātmāstyajātānāmajātatvāt khapuṣpavat ||140||
khapuṣpābhāvavācyaṃ hi khādi yadyapi te matam |
na khapuṣpaṃ tad ityasmāt pakṣe'pi nyūnatā na naḥ ||141||
kāryasya kāraṇaṃ svātmā tasya janma tato matam |
svato janma tato'bhīṣṭaṃ bhāvānāmiti cenmatam ||142||
svātmavat tadananyatvāt kāraṇaṃ syādakāraṇam |
ajātatvācca kiṃ kasya kāraṇaṃ syādakāraṇam ||143||
satyātmani ca bhāvasya vṛthā kāraṇakalpanā |
tasmādeva tadutpannaṃ caikyaṃ janakajanyayoḥ ||144||
dadhibhāvena payaso'vasthānāccedabādhakam |
putratvenānavasthānāt piturna hi na bādhakam ||145||
vipakṣāsaṃbhavādiṣṭā nāpi hetorviruddhatā |
evaṃ tāvat svato janma bhāvānāṃ nopapadyate ||146||
svabhāvāsaṃbhavāccāpi kaḥ kasmāt para iṣyate |
na gośṛṅgādriśṛṅgatvaṃ vājiśṛṅgaṃ paraṃ matam ||147||
na pare paramārthena pratyayāścakṣurādayaḥ |
cakṣurvijñānajanakāḥ paratvād vīraṇādivat || 148||
na vivakṣitanetrādikāraṇā rūpadhīrmatā |
paratvāt prāgasattvād vā yathā ghaṭapaṭādayaḥ ||149||
ajātasya paratvaṃ ca sāṃvṛtaṃ na tu tattvataḥ |

dṛṣṭaṃ janma ghaṭādīnāṃ bālasāmānyayā dhiyā |
pratiṣedhastathā nāyaṃ nāto doṣo yathoditaḥ ||177||
na rūpālambanā buddhiḥ svasaṃvedyāsti tattvataḥ |
yato no na hi tadbādhā bādhikā tadajātitaḥ ||178||
naiva pratyakṣadhīryuktā yathārthā paramārthataḥ |
bālabuddhiviśiṣṭatvādalāta iva cakradhīḥ ||179||
nāpi tadgocaraṃ vastu saṃskṛtatvād yathātmadhīḥ|
adravyatvācca rūpādeḥ pratyakṣaṃ no na bādhakam ||180||
vidvannītivicāraṃ ca na pratītiḥ prabādhate |
nāvidyāpaṭalāndhānāṃ tattve'dhikriyate vacaḥ ||181||
sato'pi janma nābhīṣṭaṃ sataḥ kiṃ janmanā bhavet |
sthaulyaṃ cenna ca satkāryaṃ sthaulyasyāsaṃbhavāt purā ||182||
kiṃ ca yaccakṣuṣaḥ sthaulyaṃ na tat tatpratyayaiḥ kṛtam |
prāgasattvād yathā kuṇḍaṃ jñeyatvād vāpi bhoktṛvat ||183||
sāmānyena ca saṃvṛtyā bhoktrādyabhimataṃ hi naḥ |
nāto dṛṣṭāntadoṣo'pi kvacidatropapadyate ||184||
abhivyakteradoṣaścet kiṃ kena vyajyate yathā |

dharmavyavasthāveditvaṃ nāmādīnāṃ ca lābhitā ||312||

lokadhātūnaṇostulyānaṇorvā tatpramāṇatām |
saṃkṣepaprathane vāñchan karotyūrdhvamadho'pi vā ||319||
tatpramāṇaprabhāvarṇasvareryapathasaṃpadā |

āvirbhāvatirobhāvāvajñātastatra kenacit |

gatisthānoktiṣu vaśaṃ jagat sthāpayatīcchayā |
pratibhānavihīnānāṃ pratibhānasukhapradaḥ ||322||
niraye duḥkhataptānāṃ śāntaye raśmimokṣaṇam |
karoti sa surendrādisabhāgāgamanāni ca ||323||
yathāvineyaṃ nirmāṇairnirmāṇaiḥ pūrayan diśaḥ |
